Diana the NP was very compassionate and careful to assess my 90 year old mom. She reviewed all the labs and explained all the possibilities. Monica the RN quickly ran her through several tests. It was uncrowded and very efficient. Thank You UCLA health!

I received a follow-up call from Jim at UCLA regarding my experience. He indicated that he is working to address the challenges at this location and detailed the changes they are making to improve the patient experience for the lab. Communication is key to setting expectations and hopefully, the lab experience will improve with these changes. Thanks, Jim, for listening and for taking action for improvement.

I just don't understand the 1-star rating from others on this thread. Yesterday I arrived back from a trip feeling under the weather due to an infection that had begun a few days earlier. Thankfully, I am a patient of UCLA Health, so I went directly to the UCLA Immediate Care facility in Thousand Oaks. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly and courteous assistant at the desk in the waiting area. Within 5 minutes I was shown into an examination room. Vitals taken, a few questions answered, test done, and the doctor entered the room. He was friendly, efficient, and caring. 25 minutes after I first entered the building, I was leaving -- with a prescription waiting for me at my chosen pharmacy. I'm not sure what more anyone could ask for. I am so thankful I am a patient of the UCLA system. I have expert doctors and specialists who are able to deal with all manner of issues. Many years ago I was a patient at a single doctor's practice where I never actually saw the doctor -- but had an excellent Nurse Practitioner. When she left I transferred my medical care to UCLA in Thousand Oaks, and I have never regretted it for a second.

Walk-in X-ray and Labs. I walked in to get X-rays and labs done and signed in for both. I was called in within 5 minutes to do my X-rays and the technician was very nice and accommodating. After my X-rays, I was called in to do labs within 5 minutes. The lab technician was very friendly and remembered me from my last visit a few months ago. The staff, doctors and nurses at this location are all very kind. I never had a bad experience here.

Glad there's more options for UC around the area. Did televisit for a tummy flu (tmi lol) and the visit went smooth. Being a HCW I rarely want to go to an IC or ER if I can self manage at home. Let the Dr know pertinent info and symptoms I was having along with my VS and allergies and off I went to the pharmacy to get my meds (thank goodness for zofran) Approx wait times for in person visits are posted online --- I get it, it's long. It's the baseline for all HC facilities in California sadly Stay healthy yall!

I walked in this clinic today with fever and bad coughs seeking "immediate care", but got turned away by the front desk. They told me to come back after two hours (11:02 to 1:00). The cold reason was that they had only one doctor on duty and he/she was fully booked and can't be any help. I checked on your website before heading there. It said" the current waiting time is 20 minutes". I mentioned that to the front desk and answer was "the online information was not accurate". Ok, my questions are: 1. Why do you tell the public you have an "immediate care" if you can't see patients immediately? 2. Apparently the online information is updated in real time. Why do you give the " not accurate information" to the public? 3. Don't you have a back up doctor when your waiting room is so full of sick people? We are coming to an UCLA facility with trust and confidence to get a professional care. Why do you put those girls with straight faces on the front desk to turn away the people with various illnesses without even saying a simple sorry? The atmosphere was cold, their voices were cold, as a patient of many in that room, my heart was icy cold. I went to a different Urgent Care who really cared. 10/30/2023

Do not go to this facility for any medical treatment. They simply don't care about patients. The front desk staff could not answer any simple questions. Did not know what the charge for the visit would be. Did not provide any useful information pertaining to my visit and what services that I would be provided with. The doctor that I saw did no examination. My temperature and blood pressure were taken by a tech and that is the full extent to the exam and office visit. The doctor did nothing but ask me how long I have been coughing and told me that I have allergies. She prescribed a cough suppressant. I had a sinus infection and this doctor didn't even examine my ear, nose or throat. She didn't even listen to my lungs. If you want to be ripped off with a huge bill, my bill was $850, then this is the perfect medical facility for you. If you want real doctor care, stay away from UCLA Immediate Care. Just awful!

Took my son (5 years old) here on a Sunday and there was no wait. They pulled up his information and got seen by a pediatric doctor. The wait from start to finish was very reasonable and nothing like what the other reviews experienced. My son is nervous around doctors/dentists and both the nurse who took his vitals and the doctor were both very patient and talked him through everything so my son was comfortable and they were able to perform all things necessary to diagnose the issue. This was my first time being to this specific UCLA urgent care and the facility looked very clean and kept. All the staff that I had interactions with were all very pleasant and professional and had good intentions with my son.

I was hesitant to go to an urgent care in Thousand Oaks. I love UCLA. They're the only people that I use. When I say only I mean...ONLY! The yelp reviews about UCLA healthcare in this area is very negative. I found that to be true with my experience today. A waste of my time. This young doctor seemed more concerned with not speaking on the most important question whether the stitch was going to poke through my skin or not. He said it wasn't for him to say, however, he can only give me pain medicine and modifying my pain level. I asked him you can't look and see if you agree that it's poking through my skin. Again, he just told me that the only thing he could do was modify my pain level. What the hell is going on. That's probably why people are addicted to pain medicine. I've had chronic pain since I was 23 years old. I don't take pain medicine anymore. I'm more concerned about infection than I was about pain but that was the only thing he said he could do for me. Don't go to this place go to a UCLA emergency center not an urgent care stay clear of this doctor.

Spent FOUR hours at this urgent care with my 2 year old son. They took x-rays only to tell me that my sons foot is fractured I needed to call an orthopedic dr in Santa Monica and try to get in there because the Westlake location could not get me in for three weeks for a cast. It was 4pm on a Friday. When I asked what else they recommend they said take him to the ER. Unprofessional and inconsiderate. We are now at the emergency room starting this traumatizing experience all over for my son.
