In town for the weekend and the hotel was of good value and a safe location. The staff were very friendly and the free breakfast was good too. Only complaint is the walls are super thin as we heard our neighbor talking on the phone or to someone all day long

Great place to stay and get freaky-deeky with someone.

Staff is flexible and very service-oriented; rooms are compact and efficient but location far off of the street and hard-to-see signage prevent the off-freeway location from being the asset it should be.

First, I can’t say enough about the wonderful employees. I was traveling alone, 1st time to California from east coast and Andrew at front desk welcomed me as if family. Very nice and helpful with any questions! Felt safe and at home the entire trip!!!! He and all the staff were very accommodating. One day I had an odd request for something to help with the festival I was attending and they went out of their way to help. I was also the aggravating customer with questions about the bill because I had never used points and they again were very patient with me.
The rooms were clean, had everything you could possibly need. Breakfast, just like any other hotel. Eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, muffins, juice, coffee what else do you need! Thousand Oaks is a perfect, beautiful, safe place. I was anxious about the trip but because of this experience I want to go back and definitely stay at Townplace Suites!
Thanks Andrew for welcoming me to California!

Wifi didn’t work during stay. Could fully hear a normal conversation from the room next door (super thin walls). Room was clean and bathroom was nice.

I arrived to a warm welcome from the host. The hotel is in a location that provides privacy but is close enough to a town to go out and do stuff. I did not experience any services besides the breakfast that was great and that’s the only reason that gets 4 stars instead of 5.

I'm giving this a one star because this room was just short of $350. Then had nerve to charge 10 for ungated parking that was sketchy. If it was 119 - 130 maybe be higher rating. This place is in nowhere land so not sure why soooo expensive. The service should be ZERO bc I did everything myself. The rooms were updated and the bed and pillows were highlights. The curtains did not close so someone left duct tape on wall to seal curtains clearly housekeeping does a minimal job of cleaning. The plugs didn't charge. The air was loud, hard to control. Bathroom was loud too. They had a whole kitchenette but no complimentary water for coffee making or taking medication. The "breakfast" was disgusting all frozen food disguised as fresh. Coffee was good. This was an upgraded Motel 6 imo and still perplexed why it was so expensive. Next time for work I'll just stay in a higher end hotel if I'm going to be charged this much. Truly disappointed in Marriott Bonvoy. OH AND COULDN'T USE INTERNET BC IT WAS DEEMED UNSAFE AND SOMEONE WAS TRYING TO HACK MY INFO!!!???? I might ask for a refund.

Walking distance of a great strip of restaurants and a few stores. Welcoming and nice place. Enjoy the breakfast but would love to see a little more variety besides breakfast sandwiches and oatmeal. The food is good, just repetitive.Nearby activities: 300 ft of bars and restaurants.

I mean, it's alright. These walls are THIN, like, it sounds like the people in the next room or in the hallway are in the same room lol. There is an ant problem, stayed here on the second floor a couple times then on the third too, all had ants

This hotel was very dated. The entire hotel was very worn and dirty. The small details in our room that we expect with Marriott properties was missing. For example, towels being placed without care causing us to wonder if the room had actually been cleaned. Upon check in the young man working hardly acknowledged my husband as he had Air Pods in. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I am a long-time Marriott hotels customer and felt confident about making a reservation at any of its hotels. Everything about our stay in the Thousand Oaks TownePlace Suites was OK, except two big things - WiFi and noise.About WiFi. Connecting to WiFi on two devices initially looked like that of other Marriotts, but they failed to connect to the internet. The front desk gave me a phone number to call (they were prepared!), where the customer service rep said to disable mobile data. I did and WiFi still didn't work. I called again and was asked for the IP address of my phone so they could enable it, which I gave them. Then it worked. I had to enable and disable Mobile data several times, unlike with other Marriotts.About room noise. When trying to sleep, we heard foot steps, ordinary speech, and the clanking of dishes until 2am from the floor above us. We could understand most of the speech. I had the worst nights of sleep in any of my hundreds of nights in Marriott hotels.

Nice hotel. It's weird that they make you switch rooms randomly, even if you're staying there for a week...
