So disappointing. I would have rated it Zero stars if I could. This hair dresser named Ana was Not accommodating, itritated and shouldn’t be handling kid’s hair cuts anywhere. Future clients should just look somewhere else if you’re looking for better customer service experience.
Stylist: Ana. She’s not a kids person. Irritated as a hair stylist. Not very accommodating. Worst experience.

Took my son to get his monthly haircut. He is on the spectrum, which this place is supposed to know how to work with kids who are autistic, & is why we drive all the way to TO for a haircut. When we arrived early for our appointment & checked in, we were told to wait. A few minutes into waiting, another woman & her son arrived & a woman at the register let her go first although their appointment was 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment.
My son that day got overstimulated with the wait with other children crying & yelling. We waited almost 20 min, then by the time we were seen my son needed more coaxing to get into the chair for the haircut. He was upset, crying & wanting to leave. My sons father decided it be best to leave, even with our son crying in our arms & after shoving us aside for another customer that happen to white (I am Latina), they still demanded we pay a minimum fee before leaving.
Please please do not take your Autistic or special needs child to this salon for a haircut. I wish Jack & Jill’s in Ventura was still around. They actually knew what to do & help an autistic child during a haircut.

So grateful for this business. Was so nervous for my 20 month olds first hair cut. During his haircut he was having such a hard time, but the hairdresser was so helpful and professional. If you're worried about how your toddler will be with their first haircuts? I really recommend this place, so understanding and helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Unprofessional, outdated, false advertisement in doing well with children having special needs.

We had a great experience with our nearly 3 year old son getting his first hair cut here. Sohela was amazing and treated our little guy with love and patience as he went through many emotions during the process. Over all the hair cut was great, the experience was great, and we couldn't recommend it more.

Great environment for kids. Friendly staff. Sohelya did a great job encouraging my 2.5 year old son when he became apprehensive about the clippers. She cut his hair very well and evenly and it looks super clean and nice. Will definitely be coming back!

My son's first haircut was supposed to be a big occasion. Most kids don't thoroughly enjoy haircuts so it's understandable they wiggle around and cry. I took my son to get his first haircut with the whole family at another unnamed hair cut place. My son's haircut was horrendous. It was too short on the bangs, choppy, uneven and just a terrible haircut overall. Then comes in Sparkles and Spikes. Specifically Soheyla. My son wasn't happy with the cutters but she calmed him, kept him firmly in his seat, gave him toys to distract him and just gave an overall great haircut. Soheyla saved the day and now my son will look adorable for his 1 year old birthday pictures.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I wish I had seen pictures before taking my baby here. I absolutely loved my son’s hair and only wanted a trim. I told the stylist I loved his bangs and the way they swoop, and that we just wanted to trim them a little so his hair wouldn’t fall in his eyes. Instead she brushed his hair forward and completely chopped his bangs off. To top it off, the sides are horrendous! You can see from the photos, it’s all wrong! And on top of that, it was outrageously expensive! Praying his hair grows back before his first birthday! I would not recommend bringing a baby here.
Requested style: Baby’s first hair cut. Trim

Updated to add that the response from the owner indicates that I didn't express dissatisfaction at the time. I absolutely did. But what were they going to do? Give my daughter extensions? They just kept apologizing. No one offered to fix anything. So I left. Of course I left! Shame on the owner for this callous response to a dissatisfied customer.
