This maximalist Indian bar and grill offers stimulation with a capital S. There is a giant flatscreen TV on a wall showing 90s Bollywood hit songs and a playful interior dotted with a straight-from-Punjab tumbi and Jago chhajj that reminds me of a traditional Indian pub in Southall. Plus, the food is just fun. Channa bhatura, pani puri, and bhel puri are street food options in India, but this is the first north-of-the-valley joint that actually serves them up in traditional Punjabi style. Expect all the usual favourites like dal makhani, curries, and doughy, butter-brushed naan cooked exceedingly well. A myriad of lamb options for the finicky carnivores. And loads of standout, traditionally seasoned vegan options for dedicated Angelenos. Tandoori paneer are beautifully layered with a light tandoori masala vs. a typically heavier yoghurt marinade, making it a light snack to enjoy before dinner. And our favorite is a bountiful veg biriyani--colourful veggies, brimming with saffron, fluffy rice, and a touch of herbaceous spices. Definitely add on an order of the homemade gulab jamun, which melts in your mouth with its rich and decadent texture crafted to perfection. Add in impeccable service, fair prices, and inventive dishes from the husband/wife owners and you have an elevated Indian eatery you'll want to go to often as an escape from the mediocrity of those Indian valley options.

Indian food is one of my favorites, and this is the best Indian food in Ventura County by far.

Used to come here for takeout. The saffron rice was bigger and cheaper. It has increased in price and the containers have gotten so small i wouldn't even consider it takeout. I paid $12 for saffron rice and a sweet lassi. The rice is a joke and $5 for a sweet lassi that was warm when I got it, waste of money. Will never come here again.

Best indian food i have had in ventura county! Chicken was tender and had great flavors. Everything tasted fresh and was not overly saucy. I would definitely recommend and this will be my new go to indian restaurant!

Ambiance is cool, i like how the food is authentic. This yelp page needs to be updated, they no longer have a buffet and their specials hafe no timeframe. I do not recommend the kofta, it tasted over microwaved and hard to chew. Their aloo gobi was really tasty! Pass on the daal its boring. Make sure you check your napkins before using them, one of the ones we got was super dity and had hair. Im apalled it got mixed with clean linen.

Average food, was disappointed and expected more-I tried the pakoras, pani puri, brinjal bharta and shahi paneer.the brinjal bharta was more like onio bharta and lacked the smoky flavours characteristic to a good bharta. The pani puris aren't bad ,but nothing to rave about. The pakoras were too dense and the oil smelled stale. The shahi paneer was average too.

Awesome Indian food. You can order ala carte. I heard some people complaining about buffet food so I ordered from the menu and the food was very good.

First time back to this Indian restaurant in almost 10 years and they are even more incredible than I remember. Everyone is super friendly and the service is pretty quick. I feel confident that anything on their menu is going to be fantastic but special shout out to their vegan/ vegetarian options being as flavorful as they are. Took my two friends here for their first time and they were amazed by how good it was. We each got different drinks: ginger lemonade, strawberry lassi, and masala chai. I still have no idea which drink I loved the most because they were all so good. We all got our own dinner combination plates which come on these metal trays that are so fun. Ended with rice pudding (got two but could have been fine with one). Only “complaint” would be their outdated table signs promoting their desserts for $4 when they are actually $6. Not a huge deal at all and was the only price discrepancy. We told the server but they already knew and said it’s old. Other than that, this place is so worth your while as you eat insanely good food while Bollywood films play on a projector.
