Just a standard oil change, but I was in and out so quick. Destiny and team are the best! Thank you for keeping my commuter car working so well. I love having peace of mind that everything is running smooth. I really appreciate you guys!! It's nice to go somewhere I can trust.

I've had a great experience with Rick's Japanese Car Care so far! They have done maintenance and replaced a broken tail light on my car. They have great service and are super fair/honest! I've been able to get in quickly anytime I call and they are super friendly. I would 100% recommend. I will be going back for my next maintenance and any needed repairs!

** CHARGED FOR UNAUTHORIZED WORK**About a month ago, I brought my car here for a regular oil change. As with other mechanics, even though you bring your car in for a specific need, they will often do a diagnosis on the rest of your car to see if there are any other issues that need to be addressed, that they can often upsell. Thus, although the oil change was taken care of, the mechanic told me that the rear brakes were very close to needing to be replaced. He confirmed that the front brakes were fine, but the rear brakes were getting close and I should make an appointment soon to get that addressed. So I made an appointment last week, spoke with the lady at the front desk who is always there. Explained that I needed to drop off my kids first before I could bring the car in around 9. I inquired how long it would take, and she told me I'd be done around noonish. So I brought the car in yesterday and dropped it off at 9. She reviewed the last mechanics notes and summarized the rear brakes that needed to be addressed. She gave me a preliminary estimate which she wrote down for $600ish. Noon came and went. It was approaching 2 o'clock with no call no update, so I walked back to the shop because I was needing the car. TLDR - she ends up charging me close to $800ish. It turns out, without calling me to ask, without getting my approval, she took it upon herself to change my front brakes as well. Keep in mind, the previous mechanic already informed me that they were fine. Also, in the morning when I dropped off the car, we never authorized or even discussed the front brakes. I let her know, that this was a poor business practice (to charge me for work that I did not approve nor discuss). Whether or not the front brakes needed to be changed, was not the issue. It was the charging for unauthorized work without prior discussion/approval, which also took more time. As I am explaining this to her, she snaps back at me saying she can just have the mechanic take off the new parts and put the old parts back in. That's her solution? I am already a few hours past the expected completion time, it's 90°+ out, they've broken my trust, and yet her solution is to have me authorize them to spend even more time to take out parts that I never asked to be put in the first place. I had to pay the amount they billed for, I had no choice, I was already late as is for my next appointment. I cannot imagine how many others may have been in my shoes, who may have been elderly, meek, non-confrontational, language barriers, etc. I thought I had found a mechanic I could trust, unfortunately it looks like the search goes on.

These people are amazing! Not only do they treat you like you are best friends, but they know how to fix a car right.I literally took them my very old Tercel (yes, you heard me) that another place said I would need to junk. Well, I wanted to keep it running for my son to drive around town. I don’t know how they knew where to get the parts or fix it but she started running again like she was 5 years old, haven’t had a problem since, seriously a miracle. And they are honestly the nicest people too! Bring your car to them!I am so grateful they got my lil baby back on the streets! Thanks again Ricks! You are all awesome!

Not a good company, for the reason that they undertake repairs, they diagnose for two days, then they say that the reason did not find the knives, pay! The car never goes! I even sent them a video! Grandpa is sitting there, joking all the time with a fume for a mile and driving cars more! In general, I wish everyone good and responsible masters and a happy road without stopping!!!

Took my Honda Element in for a precheck before I go on a summer road trip in August. It was getting harder to start up and I was afraid of getting stuck somewhere, so I made an appointment later in the week to get starter checked out...I know starters go out between 130,00-150,000 miles on this car and they made sure that it was the starter, not just a loose connection or something else. Both people in the office were friendly and knowledgeable and made sure the part was correct for my model and year. Very satisfied with their work. Car starts up great now. I highly recommend them! Thanks for taking good care of my Element.

I went to the tire store to get new tires and had a good overall experience. The shop provided dependable service and displayed a variety of high-quality products. The staff was courteous and helpful, offering knowledgeable advice on the best tires for my vehicle. The installation was quick, and the professionals were knowledgeable and attentive to detail. While it was not the lowest option, the value for money was adequate.I would strongly suggest them because of its dependable service, experienced staff, and wide selection of high-quality tires. It has the potential to receive a full five-star rating with a few small tweaks, such as more competitive pricing.

I've been going to Rick's for about 10 months, and I'm really satisfied with the service! All of my services so far have been oil changes and tire rotations, and all have been reasonably priced. They don't try to sell you a bunch of unnecessary services or inflate the price like the dealership does. You'd have to arrange your own ride if it's a very long service, and there's no fancy sitting area like the Lexus dealership. But if you're looking for an honest shop with good prices, this is a great place to go!

I have been coming to Rick's Japanese for a few years now. They are honest and upfront. I drive a lot of miles so maintaining my vehicle is important. They are also happy to answer questions. They are often pretty busy, but thats because of their good service. They have helped me in some emergencies as well. I have gotten to know quite a bit of the team and Grateful to them all for the help.
