Been purchasing my home furniture here since 2010. This is not a discount furniture store where the junk you purchase will last a few years then have to be replaced. They know their stuff.

People looking for furniture do it when they are off work. Let's say a lot work 9-5. They'll look AFTER 5pm, same as real estate. There are some furniture stores ONLY open on weekends. This one appears closed after 4pm everyday. I'm not sure who their audience is but with a bad website and closed after 4...it certainly isn't us! Perhaps trade me jobs?

Yesterday, I called to speak with a salesperson about a high-end standing desk. I gave them the SKU # and they said 3 times they would call back in a few minutes. They never called back. I ended up ordering the desk elsewhere.

I bought a very expensive recliner from PTS that was ordered in May. I was told it could take 3-4 months for it to come in. At the same time, my friend ordered two swivel chairs that were estimated to arrive in the same time frame. When her chairs were delivered, I tried to reach PTS by telephone to check on the status of my recliner. No one picked up the phone and the voice mail does not allow you to leave a message. I emailed and received no response. After numerous attempts to reach PTS by phone, someone finally picked up. The woman said they had been busy arranging for their sale which was probably why no one answered the phone. She then said the estimated time for the arrival of the chair was not expired yet, but she would check on the status of my order and call me back. After a week passed, I finally drove from Camarillo to Thousand Oaks to check on the status in person. At first, they could not locate the order. When they did, their initial response was that the time estimate for delivery was actually 4-5 months, not 3-4 months. I complained about the poor service and the need to drive to the store to find this out and Jeff (who sold me the chair) gave me his card and told me to call him on his cell if I want to check on the status later. I left the store thinking I still had 1-2 months to wait for the chair. However, while I was driving back to Camarillo, I received a phone call from PTS that the chair was actually in their warehouse and that the woman who was supposed to call me back was previously unable to check on the status because the manufacturer's representative had been out for 3 weeks. That makes absolutely no sense if the chair was in PTS's warehouse all along. In any case, I was told they would check over the chair to make sure everything was ok and call me to arrange a delivery date. They just telephoned and said the next available delivery date to Camarillo is in 18 days. If PTS used a delivery service, one could excuse such a long delay. However, PTS delivers their own furniture using their own employees. On top of it, they charge a lot for delivery! I miss Home Furniture in Camarillo! They had impeccable service and never charged me anything for delivery. Since I do not have the chair yet, I'm holding my breath as to what is next ....
