I Had been going to Polka Dot nails for at least a year and happy with the results. Recently had them done and one nail broke within a day. Went back for them to fix and the Business Manager fixed the nail. The Whole time he ridiculed me about the nail and was very loud and repeated himself over and over as to make a point. I don't want to say it was embarrassing the way he came at me because that's what he wanted to do but it was. I'm a Very High Tipping customer and he has lost my bussiness. He should be ashamed of the way he treated me. He must think they are the only nail salon in town. I'm going to take my high tipping ass to a place who values their customers and give them my money!

I went to this salon because it was close to my work and let me tell you never again. I broke my nail on my thumb and I wanted to get it fixed because it was snagging on my clothes. I go in and I ask for chrome nails. The lady who did my nails I am sure had no idea what she was doing or she just didn't care. She didn't even ask to fix my broken nail on my thumb she just filed it and started to put on the bio gel. So my nail was completely uneven. So I asked her if she was going to fix it and she said if she fixes it she would have to do a tip nail which would cost an extra five dollars. wow. I have chipped my nails before and I have never been charged 5 dollars before and I have gotten Bio gel for 8 years. So she is filing my nail to put the tip on and the drill was actually burning my nail beds. I told her it hurt and she didn't care. Didn't apologize for anything. I let her finish and my thumbs did not match. One side was filed and more rounded than the other, which was left more square. I went and told the manager I was unhappy with my experience and he tried to say my nails are uneven because of my nails beds. Then defended his workers and I told him its not right to make a customer pay 70 dollars for nails they are not happy with. He responded with telling me to calm down and that he would get someone to fix it, but continued to make excuses. The next guy that did my nails was fixing my one thumb nail, did the shape perfectly. He tries to go and find the correct chrome to put on my one finger and cant find the correct one because the lady barely put the top chrome on my nails to begin with so my nails looked white, not chrome. The manager came over again and I showed him the difference in my nails and at this point im upset. I have already been there for an hour. Had a tech prior who was rough on my nails, didn't do the chrome correctly and, a manager who just makes excuses. There were other nail techs trying to help find the right color but saw that the chrome wasn't done correctly. The manager finally let the worker redo my whole nails. I wish I got the guys name who did my nails because he was kind and nice. But unfortunately you could never pay me to go back to this place. Two hours I stayed at this place because they couldn't fix a broken thumb nail correctly the first time. The manager was not nice, I never got an apology for my experience and as a customer I was left feeling uncomfortable and told to calm down because I simply expressed that I wasn't happy with the service. Go to Top Nail Spa. Steve is a much nicer manager and they dont charge you five dollars to fix one nail. update: So I researched why my nails hurt when I put it in the UV light and it was because the lady caked on the bio gel. the layer was so thick it burned. So this on top of her drilling roughly on my nails causing more burning sensations. Again, 70 dollars to be in pain and have a rude manager not be sympathetic. I am so thankful I stood up for myself and made them fix it before paying because they thought my uneven nails were fine and tried to blame the shape of my nail beds. lol what a joke.

I have been coming to polka dot for 4 years and unfortunately they have lost it now and I had to go to a new nail place and the tech told me it was fake biogel which I believe her because it was ugly and lifted, smelled bad too whatever cheap stuff they're using and charging regular price!! Plus the tech left me a nail crooked and didn't even bother to fix it. I literally removed my own nails a week later and they still charge you a lot for bad work. I will never return to this place again. Take your money elsewhere if you want your nails to last too. I don't believe all the techs are the same but still they need to make sure they're customers leave happy.

Kenny is the absolute BEST for biogel manicures! Love this place, good prices, easy to get appts, but they are always busy so make sure you call for an appt or you'll probably be waiting for a while!

No hot water for spa pedicure- me and my friends tried to leave but they said it was fixed. Only it wasn't... they tried their best with warming up the water with electric pots but at this point, this was already not what I was expecting. Maybe it depends on the technician but sadly, my lady's paint job was mediocre. Still tipped her more than enough to though. I'll give 2 stars for the effort but they shouldn't have lied to us that the hot water problem was fixed.

There are many nail places to visit but I have found polka dot nails to be the best in Ventura county. Everyone is very respectful and courteous. Don goes above and beyond to make sure his clients are happy. If there are negative reviews about Don, I guarantee this is not true. I love this place and have never seen anything out of the ordinary.

EVERYONE at Polka Dot Nails is amazing! I so appreciate how professional everyone is even when they are having to deal with difficult clients. Thank you to Jasmin, Lucy, Tracy and ESPECIALLY DON for providing such wonderful services.

The male owner is so rude and doesn't seem to like his job. I have been coming for a couple of years now and he's gotten progressively more rude- no patience, no grace, rolls his eyes and takes over every conversation- he has never done my nails but he always seems to get involved somehow. I love everyone who does my nails but Don I believe is his name is so, so rude. I am not the type to leave a review and understand how this can affect a business. My hope is that someone reads to him and he treats others with more grace and respect.

Usually I have a great experience here for gel manicures but it is a bit of hit and miss based on the technician. Annie did my nails today and it was just no good. Barely any cleaning, terrible polish application and barely shaped anything and it was so rushed!
