Healthy Pet
67 N Reino Rd, Thousand OaksThis review is for Ron. He was great. I went in because I found a flea on my cat & was kinda freaking out, wanting to see if there were any products I'd feel comfortable using. I actually went in two times that day. The first time he spent quite a bit of time w/ me & I ended up buying just a double bladed flea comb that he recommended. The 2nd time was after I used the comb & found more fleas. Ugh. Both times he was friendly & amazing at listening to my concerns about strong chemicals if avoidable, or essential oils that are advertised to naturally treat fleas but are actually harmful to cats. He spent time standing there w/ me looking through all the ingredients of many different products (they have a great selection). Also, he used to be a groomer so he had some knowledge based on that. He really seemed to care & his support meant a lot to me. If you have a need or question, go see Ron! And Ron, I hope you read this. Thank you, I appreciate you.

PetSmart
2685 W Hillcrest Dr, Thousand OaksAbsolutely loved this place and how they helped me so much when it came to questions about puppies and their habits and they don't even make you feel bad when you have to get a muzzle, as if you fail them but let me say, they also have dog training classes here and it's so convenient because you have your pet supply also here. The important part is, they also don't badmouth other pet supply stores because you feel like there is a community with all of them. They have a shared goal and that is, the love of animals with the employees

Indiana Bones and the Temple of Groom
1321 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksThis place ROCKS! The name alone sealed the deal for me … to say nothing of the kindness and professionalism of the staff. My dog came back smelling like a geranium, with a clean, soft, freshly trimmed coat — they made adjustments on the spot for me and my little pup is happy as a lark ?? (and so are we!)

Mary's Pet Salon
2681 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksMary goes above and beyond grooming our dogs. She is super sweet to them and they aren't stressed in her salon because she only ever has a couple of dogs in her salon at once. We are very particular about how we like our cavapoo and king charles groomed and Mary always exceeds our expectations. Her prices are comparable to other groomers in the area but her golf star service far surpasses the other salons.

Dean Christopher DVM
575 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksAnimal Clinic of the Oaks is exceptional! I am fostering two kittens and needed a local vet. Under the caring and nurturing eye of Dr. Chris Deam and his staff, they did a GREAT JOB with them! They empathized when they saw how restless I was in bottle feeding these little ones when I brought them in the box. They took them to the back and they came back dewormed with just a few drops and with eye ointment for the little runt who couldn't open his eyes. Kitties and momma foster (me!) are extremely happy to have settled and healthy kitties again! Totally affordable and they offer insurance plan pamphlets. Thank you to such a great staff of loving fur baby caretakers and to a great vet who LOVES his patients!

Vetco
140 W Hillcrest Dr STE 101, Thousand OaksThe employees are all very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about their products. We do not feed our dogs low quality food as they are on a special diet for their age and health concerns and Petco prices on what we feed them is priced along the line of any other place who sells it (online or in stores). I would hate to see this store closed. Most of the groomers who have done our dogs are great and love pets. My only complaint would be the groomers we really love seem to move on after 6-12 months.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Rise Southern Biscuits Righteous Chicken
1408 N Moorpark Rd, Thousand OaksService was quick and so friendly! I felt well-taken care of, and the food came out super fast. Food was delicious, was so thrilled to find vegetarian gravy. The biscuits were the best I've had, fluffy and layered with the perfect amount of tangy buttermilk. I'd go back just for the biscuits alone, and it's a thirty minute drive without traffic. The gravy was delicious. The beignets were good, but definitely not what I was expecting. Firmer than a traditional one, and not as fluffy. If you're expecting a light, donut texture like the ones from Disneyland, you'll be confused.

West Tasting Room
1867 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksWent here by accident, when my friend & I were looking for a different winery. What a pleasant surprise!
The place was decorated tastefully for the holidays. The decor is modern, yet comfortable. There is ample parking in the lot, which is shared with other businesses. The minute I walked in I was greeted by a wonderful aroma & was pleased to find out we could taste wine from not only California but Internationally & EAT.
Spencer was behind the bar. She was knowledgeable & made some great wine suggestions for our food. She is lovely. And so is Charlie who entertained us as he brought food from the kitchen. The pizzas are delicious. My friend had the multi cheese. I had the leek / ricotta. Brilliant. We had the olive oil cake for desert which was epic.
Unfortunately I don't live nearby or I would be here once a week. Great way to spend a late afternoon into evening.
Nothing is inexpensive anymore. But I felt the service & the quality was worth it.

Oak and Iron
2967 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand OaksGreat drinks and whiskey selection in a great atmosphere. It’s a nice little taste of LA or NYC in the sleepy town of TO. Been here a few times and the staff is always on point and welcoming. If you don’t like crowds, I would suggest going during the week Monday - Wednesday for a better vibe and more industry folks.
Best selections are whiskey and Gin for the drinks and wish they would scale up a bit on the top shelf vodkas with a Belvedere or Chopin to boost the quality of the menu.
If you’re up for adventure, let the Bartenders know your likes and tastes - then sit back and get a custom concoction - the true test of a great bar & bartenders ?
Only downside is there isn’t any food or snacks which would be a nice addition to this little gem.

Board & Brew - Westlake Village
30734 Russell Ranch Rd suite d, Thousand OaksWonderful if off-the-wall experience at Board & Brew. We bounced in here and found it very much to our liking. We usually don't hang out in places like this, but the vibes were good and the Bros were more enlightened than most. We each had sandwiches and they were humongous and very, very tasty. Though this is a chain, this Westlake location is a real keeper. We shall return, and it might even be a destination place why we need to listen to some mixes in the car.
