I have been going here for over 3 years now. The experience is always top notch, but today was especially impressive. Victoria was my advisor and I felt completely cared for from start to finish. She was very friendly, fast, and provided me with a complimentary shuttle ride to and from home. Beyond the regular maintenance, I was provided with a detailed report of all potential issues with my 2015 Legacy. Its experiences like these that will keep me coming back and when I'm ready for a new Subaru, DCH of Thousand Oaks will certainly have my business. Great job!!

Had a 5 star experience purchasing a new car. I worked with Victor and Heath. They were both friendly, respectful and made it as painless as possible. I did a lot of the work before going in - applied online, picked out a car, communicated via email and text to work out the numbers to minimize the time in dealership. Luckily, their in person inventory matched up with what was online, which isn't always the case. Everyone I came across was super friendly. Even Dave in Finance was nice to work with and I dread that part almost as much as the sales process. I have to say I'm a little concerned about the negative reviews about the Service dep't. This car is for my mom so the last thing I want is to send her over only to get oversold, etc. Besides that concern- the buying experience was 5 stars and I'd highly recommend this dealership. I was also working with Glendale Subaru. In the end, this deal worked better for me, Victor was more responsive and they had plenty of inventory, so it was nice to be able to buy local.

Took my car in for an oil change. A young women named Melissa took my information. She barely looked at me . I tried to engage her to talk to me about my car . Instead just stared at the computer told it would take 21/2 hours. As I waited I got a text about what my car needed as they did a multi point inspection (which I was charged for) when Ladin owned suburu they never charged for that. I got this video and a list of what my car " needed". I couldn't believe the prices! It was done like I was ordering from Amazon. You were supposed to put the service your "shopping"cart. No one explained any of it, including Melissa. I didn't understand most of it. I declined the services. I then called the service manager. He told me maybe she was having a bad day and he had received similar complaints about her. I brought it up about being charged for the inspection, which I have never paid for before. He said they were being more thorough than the previous owners. I also noticed I got charged for a synthetic oil change which costs more. I've never had that before. All in all I felt like I was a dollar sign to them. They didn't care about me or my car. They just wanted money. Beware of this place

I inquired about a specific car on the lot that was shown as still available on both Autotrader and the DCH Subaru website. Their internet sales rep Daniel Vega sent an automated email with the basic data collection type questions and contact information for me to follow up. I messaged and called, no response for a few hours. Daniel Vega finally reaches out and I ask for him to verify if the car is on the lot. He places me on hold for a while...an incoming call from DCH Subaru is in the other end while I'm holding. Random sales rep from DCH attempts to handle the sale but I till him I'm working with Daniel Vega already. I switch back over from holding and nobody is there. Perfect. I can only assume Daniel Vega is too busy making money for his dealership that he can't get back to me...or hes a clown, with clown shoes and everything just the person that hired him.

STAY AWAY, UNETHICAL SCAMMERS, AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTSWe purchased our 2019 Forester sport in December of 2018 from Laden Subaru. The sales Person Randy was helpful, and the experience was as pleasant as a car buying experience can be.Since our purchase we have ONLY EVER taken the car to the dealership we purchased it from, now DCH Subaru. All was good until the most recent visit on 10-23-2023. Our service writer was Melisa Barrera, She seemed nice enough, until she insisted, we had Rodent tracks and droppings in the engine compartment. It was early in the morning and my guard was down, so I agreed to the $199 "Rodent Abatement, engine compartment cleaning Service" which was to clean the engine compartment and provide some deterrent for "The Rodents". As I was waiting for the car, I heard Melisa and another service writer telling no less than 4 other customers they had "rodent issues" also and they needed to spend $199 too, I thought his odd and put in my memory banks. Upon getting car, I had waited too long and was now in a rush, so I paid and went on my way.The next day my memory banks kicked in, so I decided to look under the hood, what I found was filth. I looked at my property where the car is parked, NO rodent evidence at all, I looked at the car parked right next to the Forester, no evidence of rodents at all, in fact we pay a service to assure we don't have rodents. Early Friday I called the dealership and Mike the GM picked up the phone, he assured me he would look into it and call me back. Later that day Javier called me(Not Mike), I explained the situation and Javier got defensive Immediately. I asked for a refund and was promised I would get one that day. No call from Mike, No refund. I told Javier I had overheard the 4-5 other customers had "Rodent issues" also, what are the odds of this? 10:1, 100:1?Javier was argumentative, recited some religious text, called me evil, but assured me I would get a refund that day. BTW, Melisa insisted my oil pan was leaking,(No spots on my drive way) and that the car needed a "warranty repair" and they would be keeping my car for a week, a week, no offer of loaner car, no explainaintion why a week. Javier made an appointment for the "Warranty Repair" for yesterday. Before heading to the dealership yesterday for this "Warranty repair, Leaking oil pan" I submitted an honest review to the text message the dealership sent me asking for my feedback, it was 1 star. Upon arriving at the dealership Max refunded my $199 and told me I was no longer welcome at DCH Subaru and that they would NOT be performing this "Warranty Repair". I went into Mikes office, very upset, he took notes and assured me he would call, he never did. In reading other Yelp reviews firing customers, misleading customers, performing unauthorized repairs, being disrespectful and dishonest is how they do things at DCH Subaru of Thousand Oaks. The apologies and excuses seen here are NOT followed up with any remediation, just an insincere apology and nothing further. You are best off to go out of your way to another dealership, the brand is great, this retailer is not. I will be discussing the event with Subaru Corporate, hopefully they will take corrective actions.STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISHONEST DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COST I normally use yelp to leave good reviews, because I'm more often inspired to praise a place for great service or product than to leave a bad review based on just one bad experience. But I must let people know the bad business practices going on (and that are apparently rampant according to most other yelp reviews) here. I brought my car in to fix 3 things. My battery was dying, my hatch was clicking, and my touchscreen stopped working. Instead, they only did the battery and then 3 other very expensive things that I never approved. The way it happened was after I brought my car in for my 3 problems, my service tech Scott called me and told me all this other stuff he wanted to do to my car. I told him i was interested but I want to think about it. Instead, he just started the process. When I got to the dealership that night, I found out he had already started the process of doing all this other stuff to my car. I told him to stop immediately and that i never approved any of that. He told me I'd have to pay anyway. He said he had me on recording approving all this serviceLater I talked to the manager on the phone. He said he listened to the recording of me approving the service and that I'm going to have to pay anyway. I've asked multiple times for a copy of that recording, but they haven't sent it to me. And then he continued to try to convince me to do all the other services that Scott wanted to do. I told him no, i'm not coming back to this dealership again. The next day, when I went to pick up my car and pay for all the service I never approved, he told me that I am no longer allowed at this dealership. I was never rude to anyone. I was always nice and tried to be understanding. I understand people are just doing their jobs; mistakes and miscommunications happen sometimes. So i maintained a respectful attitude the entire time. To me, it's pretty crazy to ban somebody from a dealership just because they complained about unapproved service. This whole thing ended up costing me $1400. $888 of that was "labor costs" when they were only working on my car for maybe a total of 3-4 hours. Because I told them to stop all work on the car about 3 hours in, and they probably spent 1 more hour finishing the things they already started. Idk, but if you ask me $888 just in labor costs for 3-4 hours of work seems quite excessive. After reading other reviews, i've come to conclusion that this place is a scam. That's not to say they don't do a good job or that the dealership is illegitimate. But they employ many scamming techniques throughout the process. TDLR; I brought my car in to fix 3 things. They fixed one of those things, and then did service on my car I never approved which ended up being way more expensive than I was planning on spending (which is why I didn't approve it). Got banned from coming back to the dealership for politely complaining to the manager that I didn't approve the service that they are making me pay for. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY

Just bought a WRX through Ivan. The experience from begging to end was so relaxed and informative. I was able to get a deal of the lifetime. Ivan made sure he stayed in constant communication with me and worked to make this deal a no brainer. Everyone at the dealership when I arrived was so accommodating and made sure I was comfortable and looked after. No pressure process and everyone offered sound advice throughout. Just a friendly place to be. If you are in the market for a new car, I recommend DCH Subaru in TO. Ask for Ivan.

Was sold a used car with problems as new. Was told the whole time it was new and was taken advantage of as first time buyer. Didn't receive full Financial Documents when buying. Didn't know it was used till Eyesight Failed in vehicle and rolled into another car. insurance informed me the Car was used and used cars require pictures. We were not covered. Informed Subaru but haven't herd back. Don't think they will help with Class Action Lawsuit for Eyesight. Here's some proof I showed Subaru. There specialists said nothing is wrong.

I bought my Subaru at the Ladin Subaru dealership in 2018. Now it is DCH Subaru. I brought the car back to the dealership for every 6,000 mile maintenance. I think the dealership has kept the car running well, except for the last couple of times. On 19 April, I took my car in for the routine 60,000 mile maintenance. The Service Advisor said Subaru recommend a "fuel induction service" at 60,000 ($399). I smelled a scam, but the Service Advisor insisted Subaru recommend this. So, after much discussion, I finally said okay. Later I read my Warranty & Maintenance manual (pages 30-31) and found out that Subaru does NOT recommend a fuel induction service at any mileage. Never. Then I googled the web. Most sites say a fuel injection service is just a dealership scam.On 23 June, the red "check engine" warning light came on. DCH fixed the problem for $219. Later I read the invoice in detail. It said that the light came on because the fuel injector service of 19 April had been done improperly. On 26 June, I emailed a complaint to the DCH General Manager. He said he would get back to me. For two months I did not hear anything. So, I posted a complaint on Yelp. DCH replied to the Yelp post, but as of today, 1 September, after four months, the issue is unresolved. Summary: I have been a loyal Subaru customer for six years. What happens to people who are not long-term loyal customers?

Who likes shopping for cars? Raise your hand! Nobody. Nobody loves it. Usually it's for the same reasons: 1. Spending a lot of money & 2. The slimey negotiations & customer service. I had zero slime and the kindest, most helpful experience. I was able to drive the car to a mechanic to inspect, zero hardball negotiating or slime. The GM and manager greeted me, the salesman Ron Toosi was extremely considerate and polite. This was a 5 star treatment. I was surprised to see a low star rating here??... Maybe they've changed some things? Go see Ron! We talked a bit while waiting and he's a solid guy. He's a family man that's local to the neighborhood and church. Thank you, I'm so grateful for the time, care and consideration!

Zero stars!!My daughter bought a car from this dealership in November 2022. It has broken down three times now. Each time we have taken it in for repair, they keep it for over a month!! The service department at DCH Subaru of TO does not know what they are doing and does not communicate. If we want updates, we have to call repeatedly and even then, we have to wait for them to call us back! Buyer beware if you plan to buy a car from this dealership!Update*******I called Javier, was overly questioned by a nosy receptionist and she said she would leave Javier a message to call me. No return call. My point has been proven! Lack of communication and poor service!!

DCH of thousand oaks and their infamous customer service strikes again. Drove an hour away just to have my tine wasted. The desk manager with the bald head sucks Kept trying to sell me a simple car film for 500 And wouldn't remove them for me, bad business practice. The sales rep danny is the worst I had a pre approval but did not seem to care and ran a 4 square on me, I guess this is a haggle included dealership Everything was fine until he interrupted my insurance phone call with " well if you'd get off the damn phone. " You don't talk to people that way and NOT expect a reaction. Didn't wash my car And some other detail guy that was in the middle of washing a burgundy car stopped what he was doing to assist me, I did not accept the help but he was the only decent person there. If I wasn't in this bind I would have bought elsewhere Would not recommend

I am sad to report that DCH does not seem to value loyal customers. I have purchased 3 Subaru's from Ladin Subaru and always taken them here for regular service. Last week I made an appointment for an oil change, which we all know only takes about 30 min as I have done many myself over the years. I arrived today only to have them tell me it will be about a 2 HOUR wait!! I stated that I made an appointment and the reply from the service member was that there were about 45 other appointments for the day. I asked if they limit the number of appointments taken at any time and he said no!!!! So according to DCH Subaru my time is not very valuable, and appointments don't really mean that a time slot is reserved for YOU. Well, I'm sorry I'm willing to wait up until about an hour for a 30 min oil change but certainly NOT 2 HOURS! Frustrated that I will have to take my business elsewhere. I guess it's time to find a good independent shop with great customer service.
