After 40 years as a client, I can honestly say that it has been a mistake staying this long with Jacobs and Jacobs CPA's. Back when Gregg Burt worked there it was a top notch organization. Marilyn ran the office with absolute precision and always a kind word. They made you feel like family and you were always treated with the highest respect. Now that they have both retired you cant even get a return phone call. On average their fees went about $100+ every year over the last 4 years. Jason Corey is utterly worthless as a partner. He wont return your calls and or discuss any concerns you have. Which is both unprofessional in addition lacking any respect for their clients. Companies change and sometimes you have to make change. That starts right now.

They will call you back after you reach out to them. A young intern type will ask you a lot of questions to determine if they want to engage you. I was told they do not want to simply do my tax return, they are looking for a much bigger client that owns their own business or is a big baller. I never got a call back or email after that even though I do own a business. Really nice phone conversation, but they never engaged after that.

I found Jacobs & Jacobs after an online search of local accountants in Thousand Oaks. They had good reviews so I decided to set up a consultation. They set up a phone call with Massimo to help me out with a financial issue related to stock options from my former employer. Massimo has always been an utmost professional - he has listened to all of my concerns, always offering honest and helpful advice. We were able to get my issues with the IRS sorted and we have come back since to continue filing our taxes with him. There was even a follow up bill related to the same issue mentioned before, and Massimo was able to spot an error the IRS made, cutting our amount owed in half! A couple quick notes: I was not paid for, nor did I receive any kind of discount in exchange for this review. I'm a real human and this is actually my firsthand experience! I say this because all these reviews start to sound the same and generally fake over time, but I am an actual real person! While Massimo did politely request I write a review, I was more than happy to (of my own volition), since he has been such a great resource. I'm glad to help more people learn of his excellent services!

I contacted Jacobs & Jacobs for assistance amending my tax returns to fix some mistakes made by an employer on our W-2. They prepared the new filings accurately and in a timely fashion. They were always available for questions and responsive to my comments or requests. For various reasons, I was impressed with the integrity and customer-service mindset of Jason and Sharon our CPAs. Based on my experience, I feel they truly prioritize their commitments to their clients. I give them both my best recommendation.

Jason Corey of Jacobs and Jacobs in Thousand Oaks, California, has been the CPA responsible for my business and personal taxes for many years. He and the firm always exceed expectations. Their level of professionalism is excellent. Over the years, he and his firm now prepare taxes for my adult sons as well as my parents. He is knowledgeable and capable, and even advised us in some of the facets of the 1031 Exchange we completed this year.

I have used Jason Corey at Jacobs & Jacobs as my business and personal accountant for a few years. Mr. Corey and Jacobs & Jacobs have handled my personal and business accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and taxes. As the owner of a law corporation, my needs have been complex, but Mr. Corey is very intelligent and patient, and has always understood and explained the best way forward. I have had a few accountants. He is the best.

This place called my cell phone 3 times in 1 day asking for my social security number!!! I called them back and the lady was very defensive and hung up on me. Definitely up to something shady! Do not give there people any of your information. Big time scammers

This is the worst tax firm you could ever imagine!!!! They charge twice as much as any other firm, for a public servant with a simple rental property as additional income, to file a very simple tax return. I have been very patiently using Greg and Jason for four and a half years and have had been audited every single year for THEIR mistakes! The first year I was naive and paid them a lot of money to handle the problems with the IRS. After that I spent countless hours on the phone with the IRS straightening out the mistakes made by both Greg and Jason.Save yourself a lot of time and money..... FIND ANOTHER CPA FIRM!!!! Don’t use Jacobs & Jacobs!!!!!

After some major life events, like opening a business and buying a home, it was time to hire an accountant. Jason Corey has been my husband's and my accountant for a couple of years.
