Today, December 6,2023 I received by mail, three blazers that your store sent out for free alterations. In November 2023, I purchased online, using the J.Crew credit card, a red Italian wool blazer, size 14, because they do not have this item in the Thousand Oaks store in any size. The sleeves were too long. Esteve measured and pinned the correct sleeve length, with my approval, and the blazer was sent to their Century City store for free alterations. In September 2021, I had also purchased online, two Italian wool blazers in navy and black, size 14. At that time, due to the pandemic, they would not shorten the sleeves. I had never worn the two garments, and the tags were still on. Esteve also measured the correct sleeve length, and made sure that the sleeves of both garments would be shortened. I greatly appreciate what Esteve and J.Crew did for me. Their customer service is outstanding. I am thrilled! Thank you so much..The largest size that the store has is size 12, while the average woman is a size 14. Also the store does not carry these Italian wool items. Your size 14 navy and black blazers run very small in the waist.Carole Chapman

Customer service was disappointing. An older brunette woman, who seemed like she was the manager, continued to have a lengthy conversation with a team member by the register while I waited at the register for help. She acknowledged my presence, but was not eager to help. I was purchasing one item and I guess the sale wasn’t enough to warrant her energy.

This review is for Yvette (hope I spelled it right), she went above and beyond to assist me while shopping at the store. I walked in causally browsing around, and she was very attentive in helping me with sizing and even told me about the altering service that comes as a benefit with the j.crew card. Definitely will be back to purchase from her next time. Great experience!

Just left The Oaks Mall after my last stop at JCrew. KARIM sales clerk unfortunately made my purchasing experience subpar. The abridged version of my experience moments ago started with me waiting at the checkout desk, KARIM walks up doesn't greet me instead is talking to his co-worker folding clothes behind me. After several silent moments and no eye contact from KARIM he asks me if anyone helped me I responded no, he says sorry to hear that, he asks if I have an email with them I say no I don't I just want to purchase the shirt. He begins to make weird faces at me and paused awkwardly as if I insulted a loved one of his...he scans the tag, tells me the price, and I say thank you, insert my debit card and I see him scrunch and grab my knitted polo as if it was a rag and throw it into the shopping bag. I then say, I'll fold my shirt he responds "I can bring you the folding board". I just start to smile in disbelief and chuckle and fold my shirt neatly into my bag and left the store. Very poor customer service experience. Am I losing sleep over it, No. am I crying about it, No. Am I hurt or offended, No. BUT that was the most awkward and rude experience I've had shopping in a while. I'll stick to online shopping and if this is what JCrew represents I will not support the brand. Manager Steve didn't seem to be help either and allowed KARIM to continue to be disrespectful (KARIM smiled during the while speaking to the Manager Steve of my experience while the critic was being given to Steve about my experience. SUBPAR in store experience.

It was Father's Day, 2023. My son gave me the shirt. It was an extra large and I needed large. So I drove 20 miles to the closest store to me. The Thousand Oaks store. I got to the store. I approached the store manager. Ivette Lozano. She was very nasty when I met her. I asked to please exchange the size of the shirt. The shirt had the tag but did not have a gift receipt which is not really necessary because I was just exchanging the shirt for a smaller size. (Don't ever get a present for someone because they will never be able to either exchange it or return it).She told me that I was over the 30 day limit. Please note that I was unaware of the time limit, as it was a present. All in all it was 38 days after the purchase. My son also gave me a $200.00 gift card for other purchases as part of my birthday present. I wanted to spend it at the store but the intransigence of Ivette Lozano and the unsavory handling of the situation prevented me from spending it. She is not an asset to the company but a detriment to the business. She does not know the meaning of customer service and what a manager should do to solve a simple situation like this. I requested the name of a higher up she said she was the one.J Crew this review is for you! This is how your prestigious store is being run and alienating current and future customers. She does not know the meaning of customer service and this reflects J Crew image. I have worked in retail for many years. If I had a manager that dealt with simple situations like this she would not last the day. What a disappointment! If I could give it zero stars, I would. Poor!

Went in tonight to pick out a special birthday gift for my sister. No easy task for me but I've always felt compelled to put extra effort when buying for a special person. The Sales Associate named Tommy that went completely above what I expect service to be was not just helpful but made me feel as though I'm a special customer. It reminded me of the personal attention you'd have 30 years ago at Nordstrom. That's gone from there but definitely alive and well here at J Crew with Tommy. Thank you

They had narrow isles with customers eavesdropping on our quiet, though highly animated, conversation. Snotty seeming atmosphere tho nice clothes tho high prices.

Clothes used to be better when they were not too fussy. Should have stuck to the classic look.
