When I was purchasing my 2023 Honda CRV hybrid sport, they refused to sell it to me without purchasing their 2 thousand dollar paint protection package, which the salesman claimed protected against all damage to the paint. I wasn't happy about it but I figured' oh well it protects the pain and it's the only way I can get the car right now". About one year later, I bring the car back in with a small paint chip to the hood and was informed that my paint protection package does not protect against paint chips or scrapes, only cosmetic damage from water droplets or bird feces. I feel lied to and will never be purchasing a vehicle from this dealer chain again.

Extremely unprofessional, my wife and I went down to buy a cr-v and Lou and Nick the sales manager helped me out. Lou was wonderful, the sales manager however made me and my wife so uncomfortable we left without buying anything. He gave me and my wife a multiple choice test to confirm the information we had provided on the application. Then proceeded to run my wife's and I credit a total of 3 times. Finally he called me and said he got me approved, and that I'd be stupid to go anywhere else. Come to find out that the way he had approved the car deal was by changing the whole thing without telling me. Once I was at the dealership, about to sign the paperwork in finance that's when I personally saw the changes.Nick clearly thought we were a young couple that he could smooth over, extremely shady business practices by this manager. after being confronted, he pretended like he had no idea what was happening, and that this is usual business practices at a dealership. So my wife and I walked into a Tesla store at the mall and bought a model Y. No hassle, no bargaining, no sales manager no multiple-choice tests and it took less than 20 minutes. Really shows why people are tired of dealerships.

I was in the market for a CR-V. Saw one listed in the paper and went to go check it out. By the time I got there, they said it had been sold. Was still listed a month later. Can you smell clickbait? I have reservations about "Swickard Honda". I was guided to another CR-V on the lot, which was exactly what I was looking for, just a couple/few grand more than the one advertised. I test drove it and was happy with the drive and appearance. Was also a Honda Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle (CPO). Was told these are the cream of the crop used cars, still have remaining warranty and or additional warranties. They also have a "Car Facts" like reporting system, which ironically was down (electronically). Another irony, as of writing one month later, this "Auto Check" is still not available to the consumer electronically. I told the salesman I was interested and asked if there was any room for negotiating, to which he replied "no." "We've conducted price research within 100 miles and feel this is a fair market price." I should have gone to Culver City Honda like my gut was telling me, and could have saved nearly 10% on the identical CPO vehicle. Long story short, there were "items" not verbally expressed to me during the purchasing phase, which I feel was not ethical, and I could have used as bargaining chips to reduce the price. I did not find out about this until going through the documents at home at a later date. Clearly these were important items which should have been conveyed. It also took Swickard nearly two weeks to process paperwork with my trade in, necessitating an additional payment to have been made on my trade in, after a release of liability and bill of sales had been signed. Moral of my story, if I had to do it all over again, I would have gone elsewhere. Also ask for the vehicles complete history rundown before agreeing with anything.

I always bring my car to Acura of Thousand Oaks where I purchased it brand new. My vehicle is a critical part of my career because I cannot be late nor delay my services, for any reason. I was happy to have found a caring Service Advisor at Acura but an after almost a year, he moved to Honda of TO. Justin Z. Soohoo, has always been an outstanding ambassador of the Acura brand, he makes us feel like one of his when caring for our vehicle. He explains the services needed and provides us alternatives to fix the maintenance services, at the same time. He updates us during the maintenance protocols and makes sure that our vehicle is in tip top shape, all the time. Justin is an outstanding ambassador of how service advisors should be: personable, caring, and an honest individual who puts his customers at a higher level of respect than others. We shall always go to Honda and Acura of Thousand Oaks as long as Justin Soohoo is there to serve us!

Luis P. was amazing, knowledgeable, friendly, and super helpful. He made the buying process less stressful and went above and beyond to help us out. We’re grateful for his approach and service and highly recommend asking for him when you come in!

On Saturday 9/2/23, we made an appointment to test drive a car we were interested in buying at 11am the next morning. We drove all the way out there and they told us, sorry someone bought - but they didn't call us to cancel the appointment because they thought they could get us in a Honda Pilot or something. Common courtesy would have been to call the customer so they didn't waste an hour drive time for absolutely nothing. Just a bad way of doing business. DON'T TRUST ANY APPOINTMENTS, THEY JUST WANT TO GET YOU IN AND TRY TO SELL ANOTHER CAR.

Got an instant cash offer through Kelley Blue Book from this dealership, but when we took the car in they tried to lowball us by several thousand dollars. After some arguing they finally agreed to honor the offer. We completed the paperwork and were told we'd get a check in a couple of days.Five weeks later, we still haven't received the check, and we've reached out to the dealership multiple times, usually with no response at all but sometimes being given the runaround and the promise that they'll get back to us, which they never do.At this point Swickard Honda has effectively STOLEN OUR CAR!Do not do business with this dealership. The vibe was unsettling from the beginning, and we should have walked out immediately. Unfortunately we didn't, and now we're unsure if we'll ever get the money for the car Swickard Honda took from us.UPDATE 7/29/2023:We called again today and asked to speak to a manager. We were then transferred to voicemail, and since Swickard never returns our calls we hung up and called back. The sales associate apparently knew who we were and what our situation was and said they're "working to fix it." Which is astounding, since no one at the dealership has made any attempt whatsoever to contact us -- maybe they saw this review? We asked again to speak to a manager and were transferred to voicemail yet again, but this mailbox was full so we couldn't leave a message if we'd tried. We immediately called back three consecutive times and no one at the dealership answered at all. So we waited 15 minutes and called again, and magically someone answered the phone. It was the same guy we'd talked to before, and he now told us that it can take up to 14 business days for us to receive our check. But it's been 35 days (25 business days), we reminded him, and he told us to call a woman named Maya who could "explain the process" to us. So condescending and dismissive! How do these people have customer-facing jobs?We called the number he gave us for Maya and -- no surprise -- all we could do was leave a voicemail. So I guess now we wait to see if Maya (or literally anyone from the dealership) ever calls us back.We were also advised to call back on Monday after 9:00am. WE have to call YOU again?! How about YOU demonstrate the tiniest bit of customer service and call US back?!UPDATE 8/1/2023:Still no call from Maya, or anyone else for that matter. Called again yesterday, the guy took down our information and said he'd look into it and get back to us -- no callback yet. Left a voicemail for the general manager as well -- no callback. Also submitted a message through the contact us link on the website -- no response. So, now we've filed an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau -- though I'm not very hopeful that will spark a response either. The customer service and integrity at this dealership are appallingly absent. Not even one callback or anyone who can actually tell us what's happening, and no willingness to help in any real way.A FEW NOTES FOR TRANSPARENCY:- It was the general manager who handled the purchase back on June 24, 2023.- The car did not have a loan on it, so we signed the title over to the dealership, and there was no other financial institution that needed to be involved. All they had to do was cut us a check.- A couple years ago we sold a different car to Thousand Oaks Toyota using a KBB Instant Offer, and the process was very smooth and easy. That car did have a loan that had to be paid off before they could cut us a check, and we still had our payment in less than two weeks.- The amount Swickard owes us is not small -- it far surpasses the threshold for 3rd Degree Grand Larceny in the state of California -- and it was meant to be applied to a car purchased at another dealership (Swickard didn't have the car we wanted), so we are now effectively paying interest on this money every day until we get that check and can apply it to the new car loan.

UPDATE 8/3: after reaching out to the hospitality lead at the Swickard corporate office (thank you Morgan!) my check was available for pick up the next day. So happy ending overall. I wish we didn’t have to tattle to corporate to get a response, but I’m glad we did. Even though I believe this was a matter of people just being bad at their jobs and not intentionally malicious, I’d still be cautious doing business with swickard Honda.ORIGINAL POST : Well, I’m kind of at a loss. I sold my car to swickard Honda in June and as of august 1st have not received payment for it. I’ve been relentlessly trying to get the GM Bill on the phone, but I can’t and I haven’t had anyone call me back. I’m not sure what to do next, cause it feels like my car has been stolen, but I’m finding it hard to believe a dealership would take that risk. My husband Chris also left a review here a couple days ago with more details hoping that we’d get a response, but nothing. At this point, I just want acknowledgment that they are working on getting payment to me. I advise anyone thinking of doing business with swickard to pick a different dealership.

This is with regards to the Service Department:Brought my car for general maintenance including oil change, inspection, and break pad replacement, around 11:30 am. I specifically, explicitly asked if the maintenance provided would be able to finish during business hours and not overnight and was assured on 3 occasions that was the case. Then, at 6 pm I receive a text message saying their service department is now closed. My car was kept garaged overnight without my knowledge or consent and without reaching out to me in any way. The next day I was assured that I was both texted and called prior to the department closing (I was not).Overall left very unsatisfied. If you have more tolerance for delays and switcheroos, this may be the place for you.

I called 3 different honda dealers for a quote and got some similar pricing between the 3. Once I called this location, however, the pricing was significantly cheaper than the other locations. The diagnosis would be $190, the part would be $544, and the labor would be $200. To make things sound better, the diagnosis price would go toward the repair bill, as stated by the service rep. This, however, was not true. Looking at the invoice, the diagnosis was not included in the final bill which only means the diagnosis was waved, however, it never went towards the repair bill as it was originally stated. The bill was $1019.80 but $100 was instead taken off due to my dissatisfaction with the bill. The final price after taxes was $956.46. The part was $544 and labor was $475. This is a huge jump in labor price that was initially stated and the $190 was never applied to the repair bill. My experience was quite poor and left me with a feeling of being tricked. I will not come here again and will mention this to friends and families that all have hondas. I would also advice everyone to check if they are getting the diagnosis bill included in the repair bill since im sure it has happened to Many Unsuspecting People. This kind of practice is false advertising and can lead to a class action lawsuit.

There is a lot of FRAUD in this Dealership. I paid over 1,000 to have my starter replaced on my Honda Accord 2013 V6. When, I got home the starter gave me problems. I called back and they told me they needed more MONEY BY THAT I MEAN A FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS MORE TO FIX THE STARTER. I ASKED BILL FOR A REFUND, HE SAID, HE WOULD investigate. HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I called him for weeks he seems to have disappeared. they DEFRAUDED ME OF OVER 1,000 DOLLARS.THEY ACTUALLY WANTED ME TO COME BACK AND DEFRAUD ME FOR A FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS. I AM DISABLED AND THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME. I WILL BE UPDATING THIS REVIEW. Im going to contact the ADA the group that protects disabled people's rights. The BBB and many other organizations as well as the City Of Thousand Oaks. IM going To contact Honda the real Honda not the Honda Dealership and let them know about the fraud. Don't go there, they will defraud you.they will lie and make up stuff about fake repairs. THE CITY NEEDS TO SHUT THEM DOWN.

Honda of TO is top 3 in my lifetime of car purchases. We used the Costco Auto Buying Program, which referred us to this dealership. Doug immediately found the car we wanted over the phone, and handed us off to Janette to finalize the sale at the dealership. Their customer service was easily 5 diamonds. They were genuine good humans, and not hungry salespeople trying to upsell or grind you for more money. Highly recommend this dealer based off my recent experience.

I’m pretty sure all these positive reviews are left either by the people that work there or friends and families. This is the worst dealership there is, your stereotypical salesman lying out of their teeth and adding more language when they can’t deliver what they have promised to get you back in the door. Be careful of these people, they do business with no integrity or ever wanting to help anyone but themselves. Run as fast as you can!

Excellent service and care from our sales representative. Everything was handled professionally and honestly. Financing took longer than expected, but once sat down with the manager, it was a breeze.

Came in to buy Honda Civic yesterday and Chaudhary was the one assisting. I made my first offer standing outside near the car and Chaudhary was not interested in discussing anything. From his body language it seemed he was not interested from the beginning and instead he just said "No, thank you" in a rude tone when I made my first offer and immediately went inside and closed the door on my face without even discussing my budget or any requirements. For us customers, it's a one time purchase and the least a salesman could do is show courtesy and respect to a potential customer. Unpleasant experience.
