Went here on a whim. Ordered some Fish curry and Chicken Tikka for lunch. Everything was excellent and well prepared. Service was fast even though they said they had a lot of evening party orders. The grocery selection had the usual stuff ... missing some Haldiram products but lots of south Indian selections.

I've been coming to Garden India for their food a year or two now. Their takeaway food beats any of the Indian Restaurants in town, and at a better price point. The food is flavorful and authentic, and the passion of the owners is evident. I have loved every dish I've had.If you are looking for quality Indian Food in Ventura County, this is number one.Their grocery store is wonderful as well - they are the stop if you need quality rice, spices, or any other specialty ingredients.

4 stars just to be honest-- the ambiance is like a market/deli/takeout and not for "dining experience." So, maybe not a date destination, but efficient and courteous people serving good food is worth a mention. I'm Not a health inspector nor a chef. So I can't grade cleanliness or whether it's authentic because I'm a consumer, not working in the food industry. I had a nice chat with the man there while I was waiting, since it wasn't very busy. At lunchtime. My food was delicious, and it was enough for me to have leftovers later. The to go packaging was adequate and Everything provided in the bag-- utensils & napkins. I know maybe this seems silly to mention, but if someone forgets utensils & napkins, they don't get a good review from me, even if everything else is great. Because it's the details that make a complete experience enjoyable. Thanks for your attention to the basics and treating me like I matter.

I was in Simi Valley visiting friends and we were trying to find a spot that had dosas and biryani. Found this spot on yelp and read all the recent five star reviews, so had to check it out. This spot was perfect! The service was so nice and we were able to customize the dish for my friend by making the curry with no onion/garlic. My dum chicken biryani was perfect! The portion size was perfect for me with leftovers for the next day. Super hole in the wall, but worth it if you just want some homemade desi food. This will be my go-to spot now whenever I am in Simi Valley.

The food was delicious (chicken vindaloo, saag paneer, naan, and rice)! I picked up an order for takeout and the owners are so so sweet! I will definitely be back :)

This is authentic Indian food—try the chicken korma with garlic naan. The owners are extremely friendly and they are a staple in the community.
Parking: Storefront has multiple designated pick-up parking spaces and the parking lot has never been fully occupied since we started eating here.
Kid-friendliness: The woman that runs this place is one of the nicest people in TO.

Their helpful service, warm atmosphere, and delicious Indian food make for an experience you won't forget. Every bite is delicious, from the Aloo Gobhi to the creamy Butter Chicken. From the moment you walk through the door, you're welcomed like an old friend returning home. This place is my favorite Indian food restaurant in town.

my mom raves about this place and used to bring it home every so often so I finally went with her to familiarize myself with the place/her order and I'm equally as impressed with the service as I am with the food. I love how fresh everything is and how it's made to order. with that being said, I would recommend ordering ahead. we waited quite a bit since we placed out order in store but it was totally worth it and understandable for the quality they serve. I love the fact that you can try before you buy. the lady (perhaps the owner) that helped us was so sweet she even gave us a sample while we waited and included a complimentary dessert with our order. this place has to be the biggest hidden gem of the area and I'm excited to put all my friends onto such amazing food.

Came here for a quick late night Indian grocery run and the woman who helped me was so sweet! Such a great selection of spices and everything you need to cook south Asian dishes.
