Wonderful staff, I had an outstanding personal workout with Chase. I have enjoy some high energy workout classes with Christine, Anastasia and Albert. All the instructors are assisting me with proper form. The only reason this 4 stars is the restrooms and showers could use updating and repair.

I gave this an extra star because the classes/instructors are pretty good (from what I have seen and compared to other gyms); and they have perks like red light therapy, hydro massage and sauna. The staff is pretty friendly and available to help. There do seem to be more than enough at any given time, so it seems more can be done to keep the equipment and common areas clean. I'm not saying spray chemicals all over while people are working out, but a wipe down once in awhile with a cloth would be nice. The bathroom maintenance seems to have improved recently, but in the past there have been problems with backups in the sink, lack of towels, etc.The treadmills and other equipment are covered with dried sweat and other liquids near the base surfaces. That could easily be taken care of.My biggest issue is- the MUSIC! It is SO LOUD, and even with earphones on blast it's hard to hear your own audio. There is no need to keep the music so loud, especially since not everyone has the same taste in music. It can be a bit warm at times, and it seems the circulation/filtration system could use an upgrade (or at least a cleaning?). I was told they are making changes but from what I heard, it sounds more aesthetic in nature.

I tried Anastasia's pilates class early this year and immediately fell in love with it. I love the way she teaches. She would pay out of her pocket to purchase sticky socks, pilates bands, pilates balls, and knee pads to create a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment for all her students. Aside from being an excellent instructor, she also does a fabulous job adding awesome new classes over the past few months as the gym's group exercise manager. Zini's bollywood dance, Shannon's bodyworks, Albert's cardio boxing, Adam's cycling, just to name a few. Everybody is so excited now that we have great options when it comes to group exercise classes as opposed to barely anything a little while ago. We all love these new classes and look forward to coming to the club every single day. The gym looks busier and everybody is happier. Sounds like a win win situation for all!

Been to many gyms and I have to say I love fitness 19. They actually treat me like a human being instead of just another costumer. They call me and sometimes offer free body scans to help me focus on what areas to work out. Amazing would highly recommend to others.

I really like to go to this gym. It's got a lot of space between workout equipment, and lots of equipment to choose from. I mostly go for the classes which don't often fill up, so you can add yourself whenever you'd like. It does not have a sauna or steam room, but it does have a chair massage area.

It smells! If you can get past the smell when you walk thru the front door, the only thing you have to navigate now is finding a piece of equipment that works!Funny, how my first post was deleted, It must have been so embarrassing to the owners!!

The facilities are satisfyingly clean, and the machines are diverse and fun! The group activities are my personal favorite; they are always fun, get my blood pumping, and I feel great after every session!

Love Fitness 19! My trainer is Brandon Fravel and he is just the best. He is a real expert in training and very encouraging and motivating. He's really helped me with training for certain events and is always in tune with what I need. I'm usually there early in the morning so see Dan at the front desk. He's such a hard worker and so responsible, always making sure that everyone is taken care of and that things are running smoothly. Hard to find employees like that anymore. From putting out mats when it's raining for safety to helping people on their cell phones use the F-19 app, he's always ready with a smile on his face.My only complaint is the lack of yoga classes. I used to go 4 times a week and since COVID, the gym is sorely lacking in yoga classes, especially for people who work 9-5. I really think it's time that management get more yoga classes on the schedule.

Needs better ventilation air conditioning is non-existent everybody's sweating profusely but not because they're working out but because it is so hot! Feels like a steam bath right when you walk in to the gym... The ceiling fans hardly move and it's obviously hot in the gym because the front desk always has the front door open... This is a good way to spread germs and make people sick! Please address the situation! I've had a lot of friends quit because of how hot it is. It's been overcast in Newbury Park can't imagine what's to come when the sun actually does come out...

So this review is more about the personal training. Let me sum up the actual facility first. It's basic and has what you need. No pool or basketball court and the locker room/bathroom is not the nicest or cleanest, but you get what you pay for. The equipment is pretty good and for the monthly price, it's a great deal. There's also a Trader Joe's next door which is convenient. But again, my rating is based on the personal training experience. My Personal Trainer(PT) is Taylor and he's a good trainer, though I've never had a personal trainer to compare against. I decided to have a personal trainer for 3 months, 1 session per week for 12 weeks. I got a decent rate so hence, I opted for it as I'd like to start resistance training with the proper form and have guidance in my initiation. I first had a trial session with Bryan, the fitness manager, and the session went well and the rate I was given enticed me to sign up for it. However, I was led to believe that Bryan was to be my PT, but before my first session, I was told that Taylor would be my PT instead. This was a bit annoying, but I could accept it. I texted Bryan and asked him if I could have a trial session with Taylor and not have it count towards my 12 paid sessions and he agreed with an "Of course!" After my trial session with Taylor, I texted Bryan again and confirmed with him that I still had 12 sessions left and he said "Yea!" I was supposed to have a session with Taylor on June 9th, but rescheduled to the next week due to some soreness to which Taylor agreed. After 2 actual sessions with Taylor not including the trial session with him, I texted Bryan confirming that I still had 10 sessions left and he told me that I only had 8 left. He said I had done 4 sessions with Taylor, but he counted the trial session with Taylor as well as the session from June 9th that I had postponed. UPDATE: Changed rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. Bryan clarified the rescheduled session of June 9th with Taylor and offered me 2 additional sessions to make up for the confusion. So I'm basically have the number of sessions I was initially promised. I'm satisfied but just wish I didn't have to experience the frustration that I did.
