Excellent place for an area that's full of garages but not a lot specialize in EV's and hybrids exclusively. I made the mistake of taking my Fiat 500e to another mechanic and got the impression they didn't know what to do for it except run a rough diagnostic. Electric Ave went above and beyond with speedy service and a thorough preventative maintenance. Will definitely be coming back, but I do have a few recommendations: 1) Consider allowing clients to book appointments online (including making requests via Yelp). Takes some of the pressure off of planning and scheduling service. 2) Your business phone mailbox has not been set up, so I could not leave a message when arriving. 3) (and most important)...you should totally consider selling EV mod packages, including battery upgrades/extended range. That would fill a need in the EV/hybrid sector.

This place is unreal!! I wish I had found them sooner. I brought in my 2008 Toyota Prius a few days ago and Nathan diagnosed all the issues clearly and concisely. He was able to order the part and replace my battery very quickly! This place is outstandingly honest and reputable. Nathan suggested other repairs for the future with photo evidence as well as explaining my battery warranty to me. If you're looking for a place that goes above and beyond, not only in their mechanic work but also treating you with the utmost respect, keeping you updated consistently, and just authentic friendliness, this is the place to go!!! Nathan's diligence and genuine care for his customers and their vehicles blew me away! I can't recommend him enough.

This is the shop to use if you have a hybrid vehicle. They really know what they're doing and won't try to up sell you. I have a high mileage Gen 2 Prius. Nathan did a full diagnostic which revealed several serious issues. He agreed it wasn't worth fixing everything and waived the diagnostic fee. He is very friendly and took the time to explain each of the issues. I will use Electric Ave when I get my next hybrid.

These guys are fantastic. They know what they are doing and they know customer service. I've had the opportunity to use both locations and they are both great. I like the Thousand Oaks location though just cuz it's not quite as busy. If you drive an EV or hybrid this is the place to go! Don't waste your time and money at a dealer, it doesn't even compare. Thanks guys!!!

Took my Tesla S in for some suspension issues. Nathan has been great to work with. Fair price estimated for repair. Was planning to replace some parts. On the day of repair, Nathan calls me back and says the issue was just that I needed to torque down a couple of fasteners on the control arm. Good communication and troubleshooting. Fair price estimated. Trustworthy. Nathan's been great to work with and I can strongly recommend him and Electric Ave.

My grampa always used to say, "the three most important people we need to be able to trust are our lawyer, plumber, and mechanic." (I think later in life, he added doctor and priest). ;)In my life, by far, the most trustworthy, honest, talented, and personable mechanic I've ever met is Nathan who runs the one man show at Electric Avenue Thousand Oaks. When my Toyota dealership overcharged me for services that I didn't even need, I shopped around for other independent options. From the moment he answered the phone to the handful of times he has serviced both our cars, Nathan is the epitome of professionalism, thoroughness, and genuine care. He's friendly to talk with, incredibly knowledgeable about ALL auto repair (not just EVs), and goes out of his way to shop for the best prices for any parts needing replacement or repair. He saved me $300 on a four-tire replacement and when another mechanic screwed up break work on my friend's car, we brought it to Nathan who inspected the work and immediately corrected the problem IN THE SAME DAY! He knew exactly what the problem was just by test-driving because he used to work as a mechanic at a dealership. Indeed, in this day and age when prices are skyrocketing and customer service is plummeting, we are incredibly grateful to know and trust someone like Nathan to ALWAYS provide the best and cost-effective service for our cars. Thank you Nathan!

If you're looking for an auto repair shop that combines top-notch service with lightning-fast solutions, look no further than Electric Ave. My recent experience with them left me thoroughly impressed, and I can't recommend them enough for their exceptional service. A few months ago I had an unfortunate issue with my car that seemed like a complete nightmare. Nathan and Joon, the incredible mechanics at this shop, were nothing short of amazing. Nathan and Joon quickly assessed the problem with my car and wasted no time getting to work. They handled my car with the utmost care, and it was evident that they knew exactly what they were doing. Their expertise in automobiles was impressive, and I felt confident that my car was in the best possible hands.What really stood out was their ability to explain the issue to me in a way that was easy to understand. They patiently walked me through the necessary repairs and even offered some valuable maintenance tips to prevent similar problems in the future. It was clear that they genuinely cared about their customers and wanted to ensure we left satisfied. I just came in once again and Nathan was there to help me out! I've had a great experience the multitude of times visiting here for my everyday car needs! After giving a quick message here, they had me scheduled and had me in and out in no time. It's hard to find reliable mechanics nowadays so I'm glad to have found this spot!!!

Nathan and the team were extremely nice both times I've been here. However, their mechanic is either shady or inexperienced. I brought my car in to have repairs done as this was one of the only local shops who would work on hybrid vehicles and who could look at my car that week. They found the issue which was exhaust related and fix it, all is good. A couple days later the check engine light comes back on and I bring it back in.Apparently the part they fixed wasn't the problem and it was another part that needed to be repaired. Before going back I started asking everyone I knew about this because I felt like I was getting ripped off. Come to find out, California requires all dealerships to include extended warranty's on exhaust related problems, some up to 120k miles (my car has 70k miles). I bring my car into the local dealer and they say the part that needs repairing is covered for free. However, since Electric Ave had replaced the first part of the exhaust system, it voided the warranty... so I had to pay for that same part again while the dealership covered the second part. I have a strong feeling Electric Ave knew what they were doing by replacing the wrong part and not telling me about California's warranty coverage. This should be basic knowledge if you work in the car service industry.Service: Auto exhaust system repair
