Incompetent. Poor communication. Predatory billing practices- they will overcharge you. Our story: our cat was sick. Our regular vet was out of town and no other vets/hospitals had emergency availability, so we went here (there was a reason they had availability- they are bad at their jobs). We were there for 9 hours. They ran all kinds of tests. Getting any info was like pulling teeth. After charging us over $1,000 they told us they had no idea what was wrong (doc even said she didn't know what she was looking at on the ultrasounds and even said she thought our BOY cat had a uterus?! Incompetent!!). Then they said they needed $2,000 more to watch him overnight. What a joke. We got our cat out of there and took him to our normal vet the next day. She immediately figured out what was wrong, ran all the tests, kept him overnight, and got him better-- and didn't overcharge us or try to take advantage of our situation like VCA did. We paid less than half of what we paid at VCA, and VCA didn't even help us or our cat in anyway. They just took our time and money and didn't help our cat! VCA was our last resort. Now they aren't even a consideration. We will never go back.

The entire staff is so amazing and always takes such great care of my animals. I especially like Dr. Hall. She has been so wonderful over the years and I feel lucky to have her here for my kitties. I highly recommend this animal clinic. They are the best with you and your pets. They are so patient and kind in all situations when it comes to caring for your fur babies. This is the only place I trust to get the best and highest quality clinic visits.

These people are angels! My dog is such a terrible pain with them.. he just terrified of the vet ..this last time he even snapped at the sweet tech. He's had to be medicated every pet visit and he releases his a$&l gland EVERY TIME we go in! But they are so kind, calm and reassuring. I can hear them in the back sweet talking my little man and I just know he's in good hands.

I took my puppy here and this place is the place to go. Everyone is friendly and we were assigned to Dr. Peña. He was very thorough with checking out every symptom that I had mentioned and took his time going over all details of the results in his follow up call. I took my puppy to another vet within a week of adopting him and she didn't check out anything whatsoever so it was a big difference going here vs. there. My parents take their dog to Dr. Cummings and said she's great as well.

This was from a few years back in regards to working with Stacy Hall. I found her to be extraordinarily cold and inhuman and I will explain why. I had a diabetic cat in addition to other pets that I was bringing to this vet clinic because of another veterinarian that I was seeing who has since retired. I was accustomed to only seeing that veterinarian that retired but because of circumstances I was not able to see him and I had to see Stacey hall for my diabetic cat. I was unfamiliar with her and second guessed her for one second in order to actually visually see the medicine that she was going to inject my cat with before she did. Dr Hall's reaction was so egotistically driven that she flat out refused to ever help my cat again even in an emergency situation where not getting my cats insulin would mean death to my cat she had no concern or care for that. I was in that office so often with my other pets and I overheard conversation at the end of the day with the receptionist trying to give a patient information on whether or not their pet is to be euthanized. The owner of the pet clearly emotional. I watched Dr Hall roll her eyes in a huff and say that she was already late to go pick up her kids and it was the end of the day and she will just have to call her back tomorrow morning. I think it is disgusting to make somebody wait overnight to not know anything like this. Her bedside manner is ridiculously cold and when I tried to address this with her she told me that the doctor that I have been seeing all this time and her words were," you know he's not going to live forever quotes". I know there are other good people that work at least in a office manner at that clinic but I would never ever trust her. I would never recommend her. Way too cold-hearted and egotistical.

Thank you for the card signed by all staff members and sent to our home. You guys were able to see my critically ill dog an hour after I called, I'm grateful. However, what is lacking and also what could possibly be human errors which may attributed to the death of my dog needs to be reviewed. Hopefully another pet in your care could later benefit from this experience. If as you stated my dog could possibly be fluid overloaded, then you should not have bolus my pet. One liter bolus is too much for too fast for fluid intake could put my pet into pulmonary flash edema. You could run it at a slower rate. Not sure why you wouldnt allow me to raise the head of bed. Lying flat, fluids gushes into her lungs and may cause her drowning effect. My pet dog ended up vomiting copious blood and died almost instantly after 1.5 liters of bolus LR. A comprehensive blood panel was ordered but sodium and potassium results were not available. I should not be charged the full price for this blood test when parts of it had no results. I think it is blatantly wrong to assume that the levels were out of range at the higher end because it did not register. On the other hand, one could assume those values for Na and K could be at the lower end, therefore results not registered. Is it a possibility that your machine is broken, therefore these values did not come through? You could easily demonstrate that the machine is not broken if you run a healthy dog's blood and it would give the normal level for Na and K. In the case of this emergency situation, it would be vital to obtain those values which could guide the proper course of treatment. No ABG and no venous blood could be obtained. Why are these diagnostic tools so lacking or lack of a better word not available in dogs? I did not give permission to have my dog's belly ultrasound, therefore I should not be charged. What I do compliment in your practice is that you are able to hook up the pet to a heart monitor and measure its vital signs in real time. I do understand that in every critical case, there is something we all could learn from it. I do though hope that you'll have not just one unreliable/broken down machine that measures comprehensive blood panel but instead have at least 2 machines. At least one functioning machine is adequate for the purpose of obtaining measurement. In emergent situation, a pet owner is relying on your expertise and reliable diagnostic tools to help guide proper treatment. Thank you for doing your best under this circumstance. Thank you for your empathy and compassion.

Cummings doesn't know what she is doing and she will run you into the ground with tests and no answers. If you call them out for corruption, they will say play the victim and say they are very busy. Seems like they are so "busy" they can't do their jobs correctly. I do not recommend, I recommend going to a family practice. Where they care more and your not just another patient they want to get rid of. Bad business, very bad business.

Dr. Hall is the best asset that VCA Camino Animal Hospital has. She is caring and warm and has a great way of developing instant rapport with your pet and you. She is thorough and keeps trying different things until she finds the answer. You are in good hands with Dr. Hall. The office is busy as most vets are now but she never makes you feel rushed or unheard. The only negative is the cost of care which for most vets is exorbitant.

I want to thank Dr Cummings and her staff. Yesterday unfortunately I had to say goodbye to my fur baby Lexi Lynn. I was extremely emotional as this was so unexpected. I was able to spend alone time with her and hold her during her goodbye I can't thank you enough for all the love and care you gave my baby and me. So much love from this office.
