Beware Greendot or Moneygram and all prepaid card users. This store will not let you reload your card or account because their staff is untrained in understanding the daily limit they, as tenders, can accept without a managers override.
This store took on staff from another location where the manager didn’t properly train staff and now they’ve infected one of the two remaining good stores in Newbury Park.

Shirley is amazing. A real local gal. Empathetic, takes time to help, without holding up the line. Quickly explains how the extra care program works, and why those receipts are so important. She is a real jewel, and I appreciate her assistance. I will always shop at this particular CVS, 451 Reino Rd, Newbury Park, CA. 91320

Called to see the status of my prescription as I had ran out already the lady who I was talking to said that they couldnt give me the prescription till tomorrow when i asked well what should i do the responce was "thats not my problem you shouldnt of ran out of medication".

It's been a while since I've been at this store. I stopped going since it just wasn't convenient. It was so refreshing to have someone be so kind, friendly, and willing to help. I was helped by a gentleman named Matt. So if you see this, Matt, thank you for the old-fashioned customer service. Wish we had more people like you around!

I switched to CVS so I could get 90 day refills for my medication. I’m on my third refill and each time I’ve tried to fill my prescription, there has been at least a weeklong delay getting my medication. I have had to make multiple calls to my doctor and insurance company each time I get this refill and I get conflicting reports from each person there. I used Walgreens & Regency Pharmacy for years filling the exact same medication and never once had a problem. Going without the right medication has severe side effects for me. The grief, frustration and misery I’ve gone through because of their incompetence has had a horrible effect. I’m giving up on CVS.

I went to the register to pay for my items, where Ashley was finishing ringing a customer. She looked up and asked if I was waiting to be rand up, I of course said yes. She then pointed to the self checkout and said I should ring myself up over there because they were supposed to send people to the self check out and they were not supposed to be using the registers.After she saw that they were both occupied, she said I'll just ring you up. Then again reiterated that she was supposed to send people to self check out because the company told her to. Several things wrong with this. I felt first that Ashley didn't really want to ring me up. I also felt like CVS didn't really want my money, and if they do, they want me to do all of the work. The service is better and more convenient to just order from Amazon. You should want to keep your guests buying in your stores by giving them exceptional person to person experience. And if you don't, then why are you better than just ordering from Amazon. Doesn't seem like you thought this one through.

Unfortunately, they make lots of mistakes, which is exactly what you don't want in a pharmacy! On 2 separate occasions , they refilled a prescription without me requesting it, and then they inactivated an active prescription! Their system seems to not allow them to find the reason for the errors, so the answer to that question is, "You'll have to ask your doctor," rather than trying to answer the question themselves! Go elsewhere if you want to go to a pharmacy that doesn't make mistakes.

I love the people and the service here. The pharmacist (a wonderful asian lady) is so cool and the staff is always helpful and attentive with insurance issues. I came in for a walk-in COVID shot in the afternoon and they advised me that all appointments were taken but if I cashed back in evening, they might have one from a cancellation. If they draw the become from the vial, they have to use it in a certain timeframe and if it doesn't get used, they have to throw it out. When I called later in the evening they luckily had a cancellation to and within five minutes I ran over for the shot and flu shot also. Although this place is CVS, they really treat you like a smaller pharmacy. Great experience.

Single checker, waiting 20 minutes for some lady with returns. Horrible customer experience. Manager should be on top of this and help out.

The manager refused to help my mom and me at the cash register when the coupon she uploaded wouldn't work. His response (to the clerk and not us) was, "I can't produce a coupon for her." He didn't even look our way. It was as though we didn't exist. It was humiliating and very upsetting. My mom shops there all of the time and to be treated this way was inhumane.
