I was helped by a staff member named, Allyse. She was extremely thoughtful and thorough in helping me with a deposit I needed to make. Very happy with the level of service I received. One thing to know, while it seems the available staff to help is limited as you walk into the door, they did make a huge effort at accommodating others in line as it built up so as not to let people feel they were going to wait a long time, such as bringing additional staff out from the back to help.

Well we have been with all the major trading houses for decades... And we make our own decisions. We really don't need trading guidance... So our observations are limited to the past half dozen visits with varying chores addressed. They've ALWAYS been first rate professional and compliant with expected conduct ... I've been securities licensed for decades in the past so my perspective might go beyond the ordinary. At any rate, I've never had cause to consider moving our positions elsewhere.

I have some advice for anyone seeking helpful answers, If you want legitimate help choose someone in a supervisory position. The "beginners", besides having little experience, aren't equipped to offer good advise or direction. I got a smart aleck and Learned the hard way.

We are equidistant between two Schwab offices. I am not thrilled that the Thousand Oaks office is on its fourth location since my mother moved into this area. Today I did everything right. All we needed to do was deposit a check. I called them and double checked their hours. The taped voice said they were open from 8:30 to 5:00. No people picked up to confirm those hours. It lied. They decided to close at 2:00, so showing up at 2:30 meant we'd wasted a long drive and will have to repeat it next week (Oxnard does not take checks). And they decided not to change the message. I can tolerate one but not both.I've had enough of this branch. It will be worth it to me to skip by them and drive farther east to where the branches will be open if they say they are open.

Horrendously bad customer service. Don't bother calling because the touchtone system that greets you is in penetrable. You might think you could press zero to get a human, but you would be wrong. You might think you could use the directories to dial the name of a person you know. However, it asks for the full last name and then first name. If you only know their first name, you won't get through. You might try asking for financial advice, which at least tries to transfer you to a financial advisor. However if an advisor doesn't pick up within three rings, and they usually don't, then it tries to transfer you to the Charles Schwab national number, which begins by asking for your account number and then drops you into yet more prompts. I just wanted to follow up on a transaction that I had started by visiting the local branch two weeks ago, and which still is not finished. I've made a total of 26 calls trying to get through, instead of driving all the way down there again. This is unquestionably one of the worst experiences I've had with the already bad common practice of putting callers into touchtone systems. It got so bad, I ended up swearing out loud at my phone, and I'm not usually given to swearing.

I needed to roll my 401K over into my IRA and the woman that helped me on the phone was professional and friendly and was able to tell me exactly what I needed to do to make it happen. I highly recommend Schwab.

Don't make the mistake that I made and let Schwab or Fidelity sell you on any of their " intelligent portfolios". They are created for the benefit of Schwab or Fidelity and not for the investor. They perform poorly and they never show you actual past performance results. Instead they tell you that a team of professionals will manage your portfolio on a daily basis for a low fee that will take advantage of market advances and protect you from market declines. Nothing could be further from the truth. They are easily out performed by the S&P in both up and down markets. When you finally wake up and decide to liquidate your intelligent portfolio, it can take up to three days for them to sell your equities . I put in a trade to liquidate early in the day and the equities were not sold that day or the next as the market was taking a dive. It wasn't until the close of the third day that my equites were sold resulting in almost a seven percent loss. Their response when I inquired was, read the fine print and we buy in bulk and it takes time to liquidate.

Not that good. I wanted to start my relationship with Schwab with a $50,000 investment. Your rep made it clear, he would not work with me unless I invested no less than $250,000. He referred me to a webpage which I found insulting. I will continue to work with UBS. No longer interested in Charles Schwab.

The lack of customer service cost you business today. I wanted to open and IRA with you as opposed to my regular guy that treats me bad. Guess what- your person blew me off and said go online. I want personal service. I guess being treated like a valued customer is dead here

Multiple different answers, for the same question, from different Schwab on line agents. Trying again to set up Schwab 1 trust account and funding it is an issue even though I have another trust account funded with the same already verified banks which also had issues. Seems that although they reviewed the trust docs for the first trust account, they have to go through the whole verify process again. Seems not only agents ill informed but their systems are not integrated across account types.

Helpful as I was consolidating investments. Some reps better than others, but friendly and helpful office.
