The absolute WORST choice for your building materials. Careful, they charge you depending on how they feel (aka bait and switch), they tell you incorrect purchase arrangements (refunds vs restocking fees) and above all, they are some of the rudest people I've ever dealt with. PLEASE do yourself a favor and goto Thompson; they are cheaper, they are NICE and stand by their work. I really, really feel bad for the poor workers here cause along all the issues, they absolutely did not agree with the main office's manager position on just about anything. Stay away. All the reviews are true. I had hoped they weren't but we were wrong.

Went there 3 times and customer service was awesome every time. Placed a very large order relative to a DIY front yard project using 3 different sized rocks - gravel to boulders. Ordered on a Sat morning and was delivered the following Tues. Waaaayyy better than big box store and they cater very well to the DIYer. I will go back when its time for the backyard. Also, my kids loved checking out the cool rocks and waterfall displays.

Rude, dismissive, with an overall FU attitude. The gentleman in the main office treated non-contractor/laborer customers (there were two of us) with what came off as disdain. Shocking for such a long-standing institution.

Needed pavers for a small patio project. Super helpful. Ready for pickup in the morning. Extras were easily returned for credit with no hassle. Staff were friendly and educated me on some details. I have used in the past and highly recommend them.

Went on Tuesday and Wednesday to buy gold rock and white rock shoveled into vehicle myself . Tuesday I was charged $1 a scoop for white rock Wednesday the rude guy in office charged me $4 a scoop, when I asked why a $3 difference he said the other guy charged you wrong I disagreed with him which he didn't like at all. Major attitude, done with Carlsons.

For whatever reason the owners of this shop have decided to put up a big “thin blue line” flag in front of the store. Was planning on asking this place about materials to redo our property, but I’d rather not engage with a company that is so clearly political and most likely racist. Judging from the other reviews, they sound quite sexist as well. Hopefully they can still turn a profit having only white republican men as customers ??♀️

Looking for large cement paving stones. Carlson had what were needing. Customer service polite and professional. Yard techs professional and helpful . Good experience. Will go again.

My pallet of Flagstone was not delivered, instead a totally different pallet was. Mark in the office/yard says they aren't responsible if "another customer" removes a tagged item. Returning to the lot, the one I had selected and tagged and pictured wasn't even there. What then is the point of purchasing a name tagged item when Carlson's takes no responsibility for delivering on that purchased agreement?

Extremely poor service. These people are lazy and slow as they get. They won't lift a finger to help a standard customer. Do yourself a favor and buy somewhere else.
