I shop this Burt’s Pharmacy location in Newbury Park often. I want to give a huge shout out and thank you to Aaron.I needed an item I have purchased there before. Compression stockings. I was leaving on a trip the next day, but they did not have the size and type I usually purchase.Aaron went out of her way to help me. She located one and I was so happy!She was so kind ! Her efforts were appreciated and she’s an example of what excellent customer service is all about. I do not know her position title with Burt’s Pharmacy but they are lucky to have Aaron.

I recently made the switch to Burt's Pharmacy from a nationwide chain, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. The outstanding customer service at Burt's has truly set them apart from the rest. I have using Bert`s since my divorce in 2006, my ex liked the savings at CVS, I preferred the service. That`s until the past 3 to 4 years. It`s gotten considerably less attentive. This morning was so bad, I had to share. My Dr. faxed in a prescription to a higher dose for my diabetes. 12 days in advance, I received a Text from Bert`s, it was back ORDRED....when I went to pick up the 12 day old prescription, the Back Ordered has changed to, The manufacture is no longer making it.....if that`s the case, why are they still referring to it being back ordered?? If it`s stopped being made...IT NO LONGER AVAILABLE....so Tell Me That, Last week, when I had time to do something about it. Where have all the friendly, HEPLFULL people that used to work there, I might as well be going to CVS....my ex is getting the same service she was getting some 18 years ago...might even be better....Sorry to see another local business go down in flames....Bert`s can`t stay open with this drop in service.

Horrible communication! After being told that they had received 3 faxed prescriptions from my husband's doctor, I was told that the prescriptions would be ready in 15-20 minutes. When I got there, the pharmacist said that they had not received the faxed prescriptions, and had told me to come over to pick up a different prescription...which he actually couldn't release because it was too early. The girl I spoke to on the phone made the situation worse by not admitting to making an error. A totally frustrating experience and waste of my time!

Wanted to support this local pharmacy over the past nine months, but they are way too expensive and meds we need are NEVER in stock. We have to go off-dose and the Dr. at UCLA has to keep writing new/different prescriptions to accommodate what Burt's has in stock at any given moment.Today was the last straw.We were told the meds were back-ordered last week and they would fill the prescription when the meds came back in stock and let us know by Friday. They never called last week and today when we called them, they said it was still back-ordered and for US to call back again in a week and every week after that if necessary.We asked if they could please just fill the prescription when they get the meds and call us to pick it up, but they said NO! That their waiting list was just too long, so WE had to remember to call them (after a week's time) to fill the order and hope that we called in time to get the meds before they ran out again. Horrible attitude and customer service.Transferred the prescription to Walgreens after that call and THEY said that they will call us when the meds are received (in FOUR days) AND the prescription is filled so we can drive through and pick up this week...

I called to pick up needles for another prescription I have. But they stated I need to have a prescription with them to puck it up. CA Law clearly states and allows pharmacies to sell needles and syringes to adults age 18 and older without a prescription. There is no limit on the number of syringes an adult can buy. People may lawfully possess syringes for personal use in California. They clearly don't know the law unfortunately.

Overall I just love this pharmacy. I switched from CVS be a it we the staff at CVS was rude. However, today the cashier in the pharmacy was not very pleasant. He had one AirPod in his ear and he talked like a robot, meaning he didn't seem to care about any of the customers. Overall though the staff has been friendly and I like the small town feel of this pharmacy.

I was recommended this pharmacy, as my daughter needed a compound medication, and was told this this pharmacy was the "best" for compounding in the area. However, my experiences here did not live up to reputation it received.The first time I got a prescription there, I wanted to pick it up at the Westlake location (it's closer to my home) and for a good while it seemed as though the two locations did not have my daughter's prescription and didn't communicate with one another. This caused my daughter's doctor to have to call in the medications multiple times over. The next time I filled a prescription there (Newbury Park location), they told me it would be ready in a couple of days. A week plus later, it wasn't ready and only became ready because I called 4-5 times to check its status. This time, when I went to go get my daughter's medicine, I arrived at the pharmacy (Newbury Park) and was shocked by how flustered and unsure of where to find things the cashier was. So, it shouldn't have surprised me that when I got home the medication was not properly made - they gave me the non-liquid version of the prescription (just the powder was given, when the pharmacy is responsible to create the liquid solution). Calling Burt's to inform them of this, they said, "Oh, they gave you just the powder?" I was floored and now very frustrated that I just spent almost an hour driving to Newbury Park and back, plus time at the pharmacy, to get medicine for my daughter, only to find that it's not the right medication. Long story short, I ended to driving to the Westlake location to get it mixed. However, I now noticed that they probably put too much water in it, as the solution is not as thick as it has been every other time. Upon this realization, I immediately transferred my daughter's prescriptions out of this pharmacy. Their lack of professionalism is not acceptable - especially when it comes to healthcare.

Called the pharmacy to see if they carried the Novavax vaccine and was asked to hold while he checked. If I waited on hold any longer, I'd probably die of old age. Waited over 15 minutes before hanging up.

I started using Burt's for a compounded medication. They did a great job with it so I transferred two more prescriptions to them. Over the course of several months, this pharmacy failed to fill orders left on their voicemail or through their automated phone system. Sometimes they didn't mail it (as was directed by my account) or they didn't fill it at all. I would place a refill and then nothing would come in the mail. Once I filled my script using their automated phone system and followed up with a call and the person on the other line scolded me for not filling my script a week in advance. I DID FILL IT but their pharmacy didn't get it/fill it. Who wants to be scolded by their pharmacist? People using their service are often in some state of distress because they need medication! Customer service is lacking and clueless.The last time I called in a script and had a vacation code provided by my insurance so I could get two months of meds in advance. They sent me two months of two different meds, but not the three I ordered. Once again, I called and got a nice but indifferent person on the phone. I asked them to fill it ASAP, picked up my meds and promptly asked them to transfer my scripts to the Burt's in Westlake Village. This pharmacy doesn't take responsibility for its mistakes, doesn't apologize, and is completely indifferent and without compassion for the clients they serve. If you chose to use them, pull your business the first time they mess up, because you'll be kicking yourself by giving them chances time and time again. It'll do nothing but frustrate you and cause you panic when you can't get your scripts in time.
