went on active duty training exercises for 90 days. then find out they sent my file to collections after i had paused the service health plan. so Un-American.Follow-up: i had to pay the difference of $1,136.00. they apparently didnt care about the SCRA, the federal law and the protection it holds for Soldiers called to active duty.now they want me to email them to speak to someone else that wont help me. waste of time. who am i going to talk to? to whom do i speak? this isnt right what you people did.i will take my 3 animals out right and go anywhere else. so wrong.

If I could give them a zero, I would. They killed my senior dog. She went in for dental work and when she came home she was not able to walk and was screaming in pain for hours. I could not get in contact with anyone at Bafield and they never returned my messages. Stay away if u love your pets.

I have been going to Banfield for over 25 years. They have always been attentive to my fur babies. Very prompt when in need of a prescription approval from another source. This is very much appreciated. Very kind staff to fur babies and humans.

One of the Worst Veterinarian clinics ever!!!It seems that all they care about is collecting as much money as possible, and ignoring your pets needs. I went back 3 times trying to help my German Shepard, without any results. You don’t even see the actual Doctor. They send in their assistants. And, beware of signing up for their pet insurance policy. It’s the worst!!! They automatically renew for a full year without notifying you. If you decide not to go there anymore like I did, they will not allow you to cancel. You will have to pay monthly even if your not using it!!! If I had the time, I would sue them. After wasting time and a lot of money at this place and at Midtown in Newbury Park, I finally found a wonderful vet at VCA in Thousand Oaks. They are amazing!!!! The only vet that was able to help my German Shepard.

Dr. Y is very nice and cares for your animal. The 2 staff members we dealt with were very efficient.

Prepare to be gouged. I took my dog to Banfield her whole life. We visited different locations around Texas, where we lived before. We visited this location twice when we moved to TO. The first time, they recommended doing a series of tests that were unnecessary. My dog had just had her annual appointment right before our move. I understand that a new vet needs to do an examination, but they wanted to do far more than that. The second time we went, they wanted us to pay four times the cost for a service we had been doing for months. I didn't feel I had a choice at the time so I reluctantly agreed. However, they left us in the exam room for an hour and completely forgot about us. We were able to go to a different location and get the same service for a much lower price.

I'll just say outright that I love the Banfield system of veterinary clinics. These days more than ever our pets are family members and I always feel like the Banfield clinics that I've been to treat them as such. But that said, we've taken our pets to about 5 different Banfield clinics in Ventura County over the years (as we've moved around several times) and our favorite by far has always been the Thousand Oaks Park Oaks Banfield. We've had four different pets receive their care at this Banfield (sadly, two are no longer with us after living long, happy lives into old age) and we have always found the customer service to be light years ahead of other vet offices (Banfield or otherwise). The front desk staff and vet techs are extremely caring, skilled, and competent. This clinic always has reasonable availability for appointments and they do everything they can to squeeze us in for emergencies. We always get calls back timely. They even routinely follow up to make sure our pets are doing well after their appointments. We've been coming to this Banfield for so long that we have outlasted some of the Veterinarians on staff-- but we are glad that they've been able to retain their techs and staff because they really elevate the level of service. We like it here so much that when we moved from Moorpark to Oxnard we continued to come to this location because we like it so much better than any other vet clinic. Through the years we've probably seen about 3 or 4 different vets at this clinic and they've all been stellar. They've all provided quality care and are very personable, knowledgeable, and clearly care about animals. We trust them with the care of our two dogs with biannual exams, blood work, vaccines, x-rays, dental cleanings, and everything that comes us in between (including a handful of surgeries).I also highly recommend the Banfield wellness plans. We've had our dogs on wellness plans since they were pups and I can't stress enough how much value is packed into these plans. Be aware that it's not insurance and is mostly for preventative care, but it really helps break up the cost of exams and treatments that keep our dogs healthy. I would encourage any pet owner to not only get a preventative care/ wellness plan for each pet, but also emergency medical insurance plan. Yes, it costs money but I personally believe that it's just responsible pet ownership. You want to be able to afford the care that they need when they need it. Our pups have been on Banfield wellness for 5 years, and Nationwide emergency medical for 2 years. Both plans really help offset the cost of care that inevitably comes up. When I see people complaining about the cost of vet care and they don't even have their pets covered with any sort of plan, it's kind of an eye roll moment. To sum up, this clinic has always served us well and taken care of our pets with the highest quality of service and care that I have encountered from any vet clinic.

I would recommend this Banfield, i made it very clear I care about my pets and I believe they care about the pets.I have to remember the public is very hard to deal with, especially in the current times, we are born selfish and self centered, boy does it show in the current times.Be patient I know I needed to be.Thank you Banfield!

It is great that Banfield is an Animal hospital chain. Thus when my pet needs medical attention but the regular Banfield that she visits does not have appointments available, I can bring her to another one to get the medical attention that she needs. Also with the monthly wellness plan, my pet can get additional discounts for the services and medication that she needs. The doctors are good and details as well with the explanation of the issue and treatment options and plans explanation.

My pups have always been in good hands here. The care plans make a night and day difference. Invest in your dogs and rest assured they don't miss the care and attention they need. I'm most in love with the vet chat!

Been going to this hospital for over a year because the ones nearest me are always closed or appointments are too far out. Long story short, I love this place. They're affordable (when you put your pet on a plan - I've saved THOUSANDS), knowledgeable, and friendly. Their receptionist Monica gets 5/5 stars because even though she makes a bunch of calls a day, she still tries to remember her pet patients.

RECKLESS, DANGEROUS, GREEDY, UNACCOUNTABLE - words to describe Banfield. Check in was a mess- their computers weren't working and they were simultaneously trying to sell me their new pet insurance before they even knew that my pet was two shots away from being fully vaccinated and their insurance basically did me no good. - I had to leave my 15wk pet in their care (aka a cage in the back) for about 4 hours before the vet actually saw him. Side note- its against almost every Vet's policy to keep a baby in their kennels when they are not fully vaccinated, which mine was not and they had his vax records with him. - Finally the Vet called and suggested almost $300 worth of treatments when I only agreed to two things at check in: bordetella vaccine and heartworm prevention which totaled to about $65. He told my aunt that I must have been mistaken even though that was all that the check in lady said I needed at my pet's age and vaccine status. - Fast forward to the actual service... THE VET GAVE MY PET THE WRONG VACCINE. THE WRONG VACCINE!!!! My pet's Vaccine record was WITH him at the vet. They had all of his documents physically in hand but this idiot doctor didn't even look at his documents. On top of that, he administered the Bordetella Nasal Spray instead of the Vaccine like I requested. Most Vets advise against the nasal spray for young pets since it can cause respiratory problems for the animal... guess what? It did. - The next day, my pet was coughing, reverse sneezing and having a major reaction. We were unsure if it was from the Bordetella Spray or the wrong Vax, but we took him back in to get checked out and they had the AUDACITY to try to charge me for an additional visit to check out my dog over the multiple mistakes that they made. - Additionally, I asked them to scan my pet's chip and to check out his ears since he was scratching. Turns out they didn't check his chip, marked it as "No Chip" and didn't even check his ears because I took him to a diff vet a few days later who discovered he had an ear infection. Absolute worst experience. Please, PLEASE do not trust your animal with this disgusting facility. They took zero accountability, made excused and had some manager call me for damage control but offered nothing but a "sorry" and that "they'd look into it". Banfield does not care about pets, they are the definition of corporate greed and clearly treat the animals as if it is a moneymaking assembly line. Never trust a "doctor" that doesn't look over a patient's medical documents before administering treatment. Good thing my pet wasn't allergic to said vax, because that Vet could have seriously injured him.
