I have had lots of animals and lots of vets to take care of them... Doc. Jody is among the best... She truly cares about the animals that she works with; putting extra care and effort to do what's best for the animal and the owner... when my once in a lifetime dog was said to be beyond help... She saved him... And when that time came for him to pass... She was very gentle and compassionate and caring for both me And my dog. My new dog is a Queensland heeler with a very different personality... She handles him without issue... and that's saying something;)

Dr. Milburn and the staff at Animal Hospital of Thousand Oaks have taken such great care of my little dog. She had two surgeries in the last year and I am so pleased with the communication and wonderful care! Would absolutely recommend them for any pet.

I had a horrible experience with this place. Im a new dog owner my first dog is a beagle. We bought the puppy package. The latina front staff explained that it was all inclusive and all scheduled vaccinations etc were included. After our second visit we got mysterious add ons to the bills and were being charged for things that "were not included in the puppy package." On top of that the latina front office manager kept trying to throw ad ons on to our visits and fatigued us on "upsells." After our second to last visit where we were being charged again for something not included in the puppy package, i had had enough and demanded a refund. The manage said no refunds and even though we had two appointments left they canceled us and told us to find another vet. We ended up going to Arroyo Vista veterinary hospital in moorpark and they gave us a discount on the final shots because they felt bad for us and the horrible sales tactics of thousand oaks animal hospital. If you love your dog DO NOT BRING THEM TO THOUSAND OAKS ANIMAL HOSPITAL. They prey on new dog owners in order to upsell services.

We have been seeing Dr. Bass for years. She is very through. Our older guy needed extra visits and they got us on right away. When we had to make the tough call to let him go, the office was so supportive and made a really tough time as peaceful as possible. Highly recommend.

Horrible place! I had to take my dog to an emergency over the weekend, where my dog got help, as well as an early exam, an x-ray and a bloodwork. When I called this place to get B-shots after her Sunday treatment, this place required another annual exam and all the same things that we just had two days ago. This is nothing but stealing. How about using the tests and everything else from another vet?! Why should I pay twice? These people here do not care about your pet, all they care about is money. Very sad.

Animal Hospital of TO goes above and beyond in caring for my pets (one dog and one cat). Dr. Bass and Dr. Milburn and their staff always give the best care possible and provide excellent customer service. I've now had two pet emergencies where they immediately made time for my pets and provided excellent care. Best vet in Ventura County, hands down!

We have been taking our pets to Dr. Bass at Animal Hospital of Thousand Oaks for many years. She is always kind and caring and extremely knowledgeable. It is obvious that she cares deeply about her clients and patients. We also appreciate the wonderful staff at Animal Hospital of Thousand Oaks, They are always professional and they have done a terrific job of helping us with our pets' needs throughout this pandemic.

After 5 days, I called because they do not respond to emails or voice mails when it comes to making an appointment. So I called during normal business hours to get my ailing dog in to see the vet. I complained to the girl that answered the phone on 11/18/2021 about this matter. She said I should look for another vet. Really professional. She should be fired.

We had an amazing experience at this hospital! The staff showed love to our Lexi the moment we walked in and took really good care of her. Dr. Milburn was so great with her and quickly figured out what was happening with Lexi and created a plan for her. I would definitely recommend this hospital for your pet!

They don't pick up their phone nor return phone calls. Good luck getting ahold of them.

Staff and vets are great. Dr. Bass is full of info and that is so important in caring for our dogs. Even with Covid-19, our dogs got the usual excellent care we have come to anticipate. We came to Animal Hospital of T.O. after a very negative experience with another local vet who failed to resolve our dog's problems, and, as well, did not get down to our dog's level. Instead, the vet stood up and loomed over my dog. You don't do this if you want to be friends. My dog does not growl at people - she growled and bared her teeth at this vet. She has never had an issue with Dr. Bass and wags her tail very happily when she sees her. How your dog responds to your pet is important, but as important is the care your pet receives. I think the other place had dollar signs as their primary goal, not pet care. For them, it was a business. Yes. Animal Hospital of TO is a business, but it is a business that cares. Thank you to everyone at Animal Hospital of TO!

I cannot recommend this place enough!! About 2 months ago, I found a stray kitten living behind a fence, being eaten alive by fleas and eating a plastic bag trying to survive. I took him home not knowing if he was even going to make it through the night, and brought him into Animal Hospital of Thousand Oaks the next morning. Dr. Milburn was shocked he was even alive. Weighing only 11ounces, extremely anemic, and covered in fleas, Dr. Milburn and her team of INCREDIBLE nurses sprung into action to save this kitties life. They spent HOURS, combing every flea off his little fragile body and took every precaution to give him the best care he could handle. After he was sent home, their extremely convenient texting system allowed me to text any quick questions or concerns I had and received a response very fast! Of course he's had a couple little health problems here and there (which were expected along his recovery) and every time Dr. Milburn and her staff were always attentive and ready to Help! Now, 2 months later, little Huey is a healthy, curious, 4lb kitty with so much energy who loves his big brothers! Huey would not be here today without everyone at The Animal Hospital of Thousand Oaks so THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Been getting my dogs vaccinated there since 2018. This time around; Tried requesting an appointment online twice. Their website says they'll notify you in 24-48 hours. Never heard anything. Their website says they accept walk ins. It says to park and call. I parked and called. I got put on hold 3 times, then disconnected. I went inside, waited about 10 minutes. A lady comes out and tells me they're too busy. Tells me they no longer take walk ins. I tell her that their website should probably reflect that. She said she thought it did. I again, tell her it does not. I tell her I tried to request an appointment online but never heard back. She tells me the system gets full and the request doesn't go through. That sounds like a fantastic system. She tells me to call around and try to find another place. I left with nothing. If that's not 1 star service, I don't know what is.

Dr. Bass is a kind-hearted, loving, accomplished vet who has a heart of gold for our animalsShe treats them as one of her own extended family. Furthermore she patiently explains her reasoning for needed check-ups for them.

Made appointment 2 weeks in advance. When i arrived I called to let them know i'm there. They tell me they need to email me paper work to fill out before my dog can get vaccines. The woman on the phone couldn't answer why they didn't send me this email 2 weeks ago when i made the appointment. Not happy to be standing out in the 25mph winds, i gave her my email and waited 10 minutes for an email that never came. Called them back to let them know i was done waiting and left.
