Sold my mortgage to another company and didn’t transfer my last payment, essentially stealing my payment and requiring me to pay DOUBLE my payment to the new company. I have confirmation number and emails with proof of payment that they never transferred.

They gave a really bad customer experience. They used to call be randomly to refinance. They used to send me emails telling me that my payment is due. But not once they called /emailed me to tell me that my loan has been transferred. Its after a month that the other bank reached out for late payment and I get to know about this. When I try to call customer care, they dont have anyone to talk to me as I am not part of their system anymore and the bot told me to reach out to the other bank.

Amerihome reported to the credit bureaus for every single day I was late but inside the loss mitigation/loan modification process. They do not honor what they say if you are in loss mitigation and they do not honor VA Circular 26.24.12 "Credit Reporting. In order to avoid damaging the credit records of Veterans, servicers are encouraged to avoid negative credit reporting, where permissible under applicable law, on affected loans.".
I was laid off. Contacted Amerihome and they began the loss mitigation process (I was not behind on any mortgage at the time). They said during the process they would not report negatively to credit bureaus. They ended up giving me a loan modification and transferred to another mortgage company.
There are too many mortgage companies who are good. Go with them and pray they do not get sold to Amerihome.

This is my 3rd home and they are by FAR the worst mortgage company I’ve ever had. Consistent issues with my insurance being paid out of my escrow and having to call them multiple times to get it resolved. When you call it’s hard to get an agent on the line. And although I know your mortgage payment can vary a little based on your escrow balance, never have I had my mortgage increase by $300 after owning my home for ONE year.

Title: Frustrating Experience with Payment Due Date Errors
I am writing to share my disappointing experience with Amerihome Mortgage. Recently, I encountered a significant issue with the payment due dates on my mortgage. The company mistakenly updated my payment schedule, resulting in two payments being required within the same month.
This error has caused considerable inconvenience and financial strain. I’ve tried to resolve the issue with customer service, but the resolution process has been slow and unhelpful. The lack of effective communication and prompt action from the company has left me frustrated and concerned about the accuracy of my mortgage management.
If you’re considering doing business with Amerihome Mortgage, be prepared for potential administrative errors and be vigilant in monitoring your payment schedule. I hope they improve their systems and customer service to prevent similar issues for others in the future.

So my experience was very difficult for a refinance. Spoke to an agent Chris Moeller, very nice and the phone and everything was great. During process I started to feel something was a little off ,so I went to another lender with more experience in FHA loan. Long story short trying to cancel with this loan that was being processed with Amerihome was a big hassle, would not return email to my now new lender during the transfer of case. My new lender had to Do a force transfer because they were not calling back or answering any of his emails. I felt that was very unprofessional,just because I didn't want to do the loan with them. So please Amerihome do better,and if somebody wants a second opinion please be respectful of that. Thank you.

David Breaux was such a fantastic guide through the complicated mortgage process. He took the time to educate us in advance on what the process would entail and to flag key decision points throughout the process. It was clear from the start that David is laser focused on getting the best results for his clients and on making the process has clear and painless as possible. We also had a great experience with Brandi Clements, the loan processor. We can't imagine having gone through this process with anyone else!

David Breaux was the perfect partner to guide us through financing our home. It was our first home, we are immigrants and the rates environment is pretty challenging so we were often stressed and close to overwhelmed. But David was there every step of the way to calm us down and transparently explain our options. He even built and updated a custom website, tailored to our situation to visualize and compare in depth different options. He always made himself available, even preemptively setting up weekly meetings while accommodating our schedule. Maybe the most important thing is that we have felt he was, and still is on our side. We recommend him without reservations.
