Best customer service I’ve ever encountered working with lumber yards. Wish I started working with Weyrick at the start of my project and not towards the end. Highly recommend. Kevin is awesome.

Most of the local contractors already know this, but just in case you’re new to the North County (Templeton).Weyrick Lumber has consistently provided the most competitive pricing, vast inventory and knowledgeable friendly service. Most recently we were assisted at the counter by Kevin. This was the first time we worked with him. Kevin provided fantastic service.

Something happened to this place in the last year and it is truly unfortunate. Lumber prices are insane but that is largely out of their control. However, $50 to rip 6 2x6s into 1x6s is completely ridiculous. I had over 100 pieces milled from 2x6 to 1x6 by them in December of 2020, and was charged $10. Luckily I was fed up and left because I was able to find the same materials for a quarter of the price I was going to end up paying after unreasonable fees. I was helped by someone who has never helped me before and I’ve mostly had good experiences in the past although the price and service you receive are totally dependent on who is at the counter helping you, which is very frustrating. This latest experience however was enough to lose me as a customer. Waste of time and very expensive gas.

Here is our truly lovely Weyrick Lumber Window order experience! Rick Johnson is the BEST!!! He called me back the same day I left a message inquiring about ordering windows for our bedroom remodel. I placed my window order and he was so helpful during the entire process. He let me know the windows would be ready in April and gave me the name of a window installation company not associated with Weyrick. Brandon with Central Cal Windows - awesome, as well. April - He contacted us the day before delivery with the timeframe the windows would be delivered and made sure I still had the installer's information and also Cc'd the installer on that email. Wow. Windows were delivered on time. Rick checked in that day to be sure the windows arrived and were ok. Wow. We scheduled with the installer, had the windows installed promptly, and Rick checked in later that day to be sure his recommendation worked out and we were satisfied from beginning to end. WOW and YES!!! We also ordered all of our lumber from Weyrick and they were amazing.

Project was a small tractor shed. I stopped in and ordered 6-4x6x12 treated posts and 14-2x4x12 treated lumber. The front desk was friendly enough and the ordering process was painless. I took the order slip and drove back into the yard to get loaded. The "picker" was not friendly, though not rude either. Probably shy. He took the pick slip without leaving the seat of his forklift and disappeared for 3-5 minutes. He returned and drove to the back of my truck. Then without a word, got down and begin pushing lumber into the truck. Having never been here before I let him do his thing. When he was finished he didn't say bye or anything, just got onto his forklift and left. At the time I noticed that some of the lumber was less than ideal, but I figured I could make it work. It's just a shed after all. When I got home and unloaded I noticed that about half of the 2x4s were warped and twisted. 1 of the 4x6s was a bit twisted and another had a sizeable (2" by 10") gash on one of the corners, about halfway up the 12' length of it. Ugh...$450 plus 2 hours of driving and I was not happy with the product. OK - I should've been more present during the initial loading from the forklift and inspected the wood then. My bad. Regardless, the wood was way less than ideal. My takeaway is that this place is for builders, not DIYers. Builders overbuy to allow for s-crappy wood. DIYers get to handpick and buy just what we need when wood prices are as astronomical as they are these days. Lesson learned - don't use these guys again. It's better to go where you can hand pick each piece of lumber if you only need a few sticks.

Fast unload and friendly people. Watch for the signs, the Lumber yard is no longer on Championship lane, it's out on the frontage road.
