The standard for payment processing. I can't recommend them highly enough. Ask for Dane. I connect him with everyone I can.

We had closed our account with National Merchants back in October 2021.We received an invoice in November and assumed it was a closing statement and paid the balance. Now in December we are receiving another service invoice for $105.42, again account closed, no activity!Attempted to call their customer service number only to get a, leave a message, "the messages are full and cannot take a message"Note: Being a credit card service company, they just take their fees from out account without notice until after the fact.

This an update to my review from 5.5 years ago. I did have serious issues with this account (specifically billing and account mistakes) and they never really made amends for those, but I must be fair in stating that the services and support from this company has been stellar since then. Their fees and level of service are far and away better than my other merchant providers.

I wanted so much to believe that National Merchants Association was going to be different than the previous 3 credit card processors we had used in the past, sadly not to be. After a few months there were suspicious charges on our statement and even more suspicious half truths when asked about the charges. After 1 year I was so sick of NMA I couldn't wait to switch to Square. I'm averaging 3% which is around a .9% difference plus no surprises!!! Couldn't be happier with Square.

I believed in NMA when I first signed on as a representative. I had never seen a company with so much Passion and support for its reps and its clients. Over this past year I unfortunately have seen a slow demise. No support and the worst, as an agent, not getting paid out on residuals. I warn all reps looking to move accounts over to be skeptical. I haven't been paid in almost 7months.

SCAM. They charge fees without clear and conspicuous disclosure. We're filing FTC and Attorney General complaints shortly.

Scammers as everyone else said. Been nightmare with canceling crappy service. Customer service agents lie and don't give a s**** Over 3k in excess fees and still not sure if they're still trying to get $. I think this company should be shut down for fraud ASAP. Definitely needs to be investigated

They are the biggest Rip off out there. They will charge your account stupid fees and won't stop. Best advice is to not let them do business with your company or business. You will lose a lot of money!!! They are a scam!!!

They will charge you so much BS fee that you will regret why you ever signed up with them. I have worked with a lot of merchant ISO's and NMA is so far the worst one. If for some reason you believe that NMA is good then I have a friend in Nigeria who has a great business opportunity for you :P

RUN AWAY. Their fees are not transparent. You can never get a straight answer from anyone on the phone.

Much like the other complaints listed here, we have also received notices of fees that were never mentioned and they conveniently keep popping up. They actually signed us up for a service that we never asked for and there was a monthly charge. Every time I call I get different answers to the same question. It's a bit difficult to figure out which one is correct. I'll I ask to speak to a supervisor I'm told someone will call me back and no one ever does. When I mentioned this to the rep that signed up up for NMA his recommendation was not to call them at all, to contact him , and he would reach out to "his people" there who knew what they were doing because he couldn't vouch for anyone else. Terribly run, unprofessional, and frustrating service.

I am a small business owner who was looking to connect with a credit card processing company with low transaction fees. After signing up with the National Merchants Association (NMA), I realized that I was being charged an exorbitant rate of fees (much higher than what our contract had stated or what the rep had communicated). I was charged 42% (it was supposed to be 1.2% - 3.25%) in service fees (authorization/transaction/card brand fees) by the NMA. Additionally, I was also told directly from NMA, as it was outlined in the Account Setup Form and Agreement, that I would be charged $10/month with a 1.2% - 3.25% service fee per transaction. I was charged $40.42 last month for a total of $0.01 in charges from one transaction (I only had a "test" charge done using their hardware/software from my personal credit card into my business account). Could you imagine how much this would've cost me, if I had ran a "real" transaction for several thousands of dollars!! This type of fraud is alarming and I do not want to see this happening to other unwitting victims.

The most shady merchant services company I ever dealt with, and trust me I have dealt with ton of them. Guess how much was all the BS initial fee they charged me on boarding the account - all the fee together were about $957 including a $350 site survey(which they didn't even do). - Rip off - Scam - Bad business practices - They will make you sign stuff making it look like it's just generic documents that every company has and charge you all BS fee and when you complain then they show that you signed for it.
