It's been many years since I first met Wendy..... and I have used many trainers over the years..... but it is Wendy's techniques that I return to time and time again! Positive reinforcement is absolutely necessary when training pups of all ages, but so are limits and boundaries .... just like children. Wendy teaches not just the pups, but more importantly, the parents. If i still lived in the area, I would never hesitate to use her again! This is a much too late "Thank You" Wendy !

We hired Wendy, our Leader of the Pack personal dog trainer, and wow what an immediate difference in our pups! She spent an enormous amount of time with us in our home for our 1st visit and the results were amazing. Wendy teaches the psychology of how your dog views you and your leadership abilities. We have owned dogs our entire lives but have become lax in their training, "letting our dogs be dogs". After just our introductory visit with Wendy, we gained respect again from our dogs and a love that that has expanded in a much different way from that newly regained respect. They are confident but more importantly, they are confident in us as their owners, parents, and loving companions. We adore our pups as family, but how they view us as their Pack Leader is a new comfort for us all.Thank you Wendy, from the Oldham family!

I had the pleasure of working with Wendy, and I can't emphasize enough how incredible she is with dogs. Her training methods are nothing short of exceptional. She has a unique ability to connect with dogs, understand their needs, and help them flourish. What sets Wendy apart is her dedication to not only training dogs but also educating the owners on effective communication with their furry friends. While she is much more of a “dog person” than a “people person,” she compensates by imparting invaluable knowledge and techniques that bridge the gap between owners and their pets.Wendy's expertise goes beyond the surface; she delves deep into each dog's individual personality and tailors her approach accordingly. If you want a dog trainer who not only transforms your canine companion but also equips you with the tools to foster a stronger bond, Wendy is the perfect choice. She will put your dog first which is exactly what I would want and expect from a great dog trainer!

Wendy was outstanding! She was very patient and through in helping me get my Maisy to the point of passing her American Kennel Good Citizen test, which is the starting point for her to become a therapy dog. She is very flexible with schedule changes which I really appreciated.Wendy is very good at what she does!! It’s great to have your Trainer also be the person certified to do the testing. I highly recommend her!!! She will help you achieve your desired results with your fur baby!

Wendy did an amazing job training Jude and myself for the Canine Good Citizen award. I am able to walk him with control and he obeys all the basic commands. We are very pleased with the results of the training. Thank you Wendy!!

Wendy is an excellent dog trainer! No doubt about it! It was so much fun for the wife and I to take part in the training of our 3 year old boxer! Boxers are...well...cRaZy! But Wendy took control instantly and today "Bailey" is a well behaved young lady who is a much better neighbor, far less excitable with other dogs and polite around our friends. Thank-you Wendy!

I am very happy that we found Leader of the Pack. We have been having some difficult behavior issues with our very sweet 3 year old boxer. After just 2 sessions with Wendy, our girl is making great progress and is on her way to becoming a valued family member instead of a problem! Thank you Wendy!

Wendy has helped us so much! She came to our home and not only showed us what to do, but helped us understand why. We have learned so much about dog behavior and started seeing a difference in Kristofferson's behavior right away! She really knows her stuff. Highly recommend her services!

Every one please advise that Wendy is a complete and utter sham of a dog trainer. One of the reasons she asks for the money up front is so that it insures there are no refunds. Wendy act deplorably with dogs as well as humans. I was tempted to hire a trainer for Wendy because she acts worse than the dogs. She is a shell of a human being always running late to sessions, making excuses and ultimately wasting my time and my precious dog Bella's time. Her yelp reviews are so polarizing from 5 star reviews to 1 star reviews. She dismisses the fact that she is mentally exhausting and when you bring up how rudely she acts during sessions she will turn the narrative against myself and my dog being to blame. I will not even be surprised if she responds to this and says something like " I have no idea who this person is leaving this review." Ya she doesn't know who this is because once she scams you out of your money she forgets all about you. Please please please don't fall for her wicked tricks.

I can't believe I paid over $1000 just for her to growl at my dog. My dog has legitimate tics that we were hoping to gain some guidance on how to correct, but when we actually tried to address these, Wendy suggested we just get another dog. She said our dog should be for advanced owners only. The fact that a a dog trainer would say something like that is pretty abhorrent. Especially to such an important member of our family. Mind you she's a great dog. She already knew all the basic commands. I just don't want her to chase cars. Wendy can't help with that.

The following review is a public service announcement. If your dog and sanity matter to you, please spare yourself and seek training elsewhere. We spent $1000, which her training program was not even close to worth. As mentioned above by other reviewers, Wendy is always late to sessions. I have a job and I am not chronically as late as her. She doesn't respect your time whatsoever and never makes up the time. And no I am not a professional dog trainer that's why I spent good money to hire one. I was constantly chastised by this woman. If I didn't do something correctly she would yell at me. Not a professional or respectable way to treat your clients. Often times it would cause me to completely shut down as she expected me to read her thoughts? And this was not even my breaking point. It really does take a lot to break me as I am a patient individual. During our last session I requested she come to our home, as Zion would always chase cars on walks. She got to the apartment and said let's take her to the area where you said she's having trouble and start off there. We walk over and she has a tantrum because the dirt lot was by a road which had cars going by. "This is overwhelming!" She exclaims. Although this is exactly what I had explained was our issue. I kindly suggested we could move somewhere else. But instead she scoffed at me. The typical yelling ensued with the initial training. Then she asks to take Zion walking by the cars to show her the issue. Zion immediately goes to chase a car. Then she says let me take her. She can't control Zion as she tries to chase the car. Then has the audacity to turn to me and say "well what do you want me to do, rewire her brain? Fear is part of her breed. Get a different dog. She's for advanced dog owners only." If she already knew this then way even entertain trying to help me fix the issue? Just a complete waste of time. Then she asks me what I want to do with the rest of the session? Umm your the trainer take the lead, if you really are leader of the pack. Then she sits on google for 10 minutes trying to look up agility classes. Mind you I already told her I had tried this previously and came up with nothing close by. Then I get a well I guess I'll give you another session. To what waste my time and be insulted? Zion is a good girl and a member of our family, just wanted a few behaviors tamed. Apparently a dog chasing a car is one of many kryptonite to this woman. I reached out to her letting her know how insulted we were by her comments and she says "I never told you to get your dog euthanized!" Seriously, what? I told her to cancel our last two sessions. I wish I could have a refund for this awful service.

Wendy is AWESOME!!! I've already met with her 2 times and my dogs behavior has drastically changed already and we still have more trainings!!! We literally see a night and day difference in our dog. She really cares and knows what she's doing. Wish I would have found her earlier!!! Thank you Wendy!!!

Very insightful and helpful! She not only covers basic training and behavior problems, but really works to give insight into how dogs think and behave. After just two training sessions, I already feel like a much better dog owner.
