After many months to recollect on our wedding day, I have decided to give LOM a 1-star review, to highlight specifically our avoidable, and subtle disappointments with this venue. My husband and I got married here in November of 2023. Generally, the venue grounds are quite beautiful. The lake sets up a great background for your ceremony and pictures during your event. Our guests appreciated the space. Despite this, If you are going all-in on a venue like LOM, you shouldn't have to encounter as many issues as I did. If you are thinking about booking this venue you should be aware of the things I went through so you can make the right decision and not experience the same problems. Firstly, beware of the up-sell. Despite the florist being "Included in the package", only the guest tables and sweetheart table were covered. My bouquet, the altar/arch flowers, aisle flowers, and the boutonnieres were not included, which cost us an additional $2,500. We also opted in for many package upgrades that felt necessary. The bakery that was included in the LOM package had a standoff-ish attitude and was quite unfriendly. When we did our cake tasting, the woman was snappy, rude, and short with us. The cake from the venue-provided bakery looked great, but was muted in flavor and moistness. In contrast, the additionally purchased side pastries were good. Regardless, having to return cake stands before 11am on the day after the wedding is a big disservice to how busy and exhausting a wedding can be, and having to recruit someone to get up early to do this was a cruddy experience. During our ceremony, carts of non-wedding guests were being transported back and forth from the parking lot through the venue. This happened when I was beginning my walk down the side of the lake to the ceremony and I was accosted by winery visitors during this incredibly special and sensitive moment. Later that day, guests congregated by a side path and actively looked into our wedding. We were incredibly uncomfortable with this. When we attempted to get security to move the guests along, the security staff were nowhere to be found. Having our wedding coordinator move guests along was a big inconvenience. One detail that we see clearly in our wedding photos is that our wedding coordinator took down our expensive arch flowers before our family photos were shot. It is so unfortunate to see the bare wooden wedding altar behind our family members in our photo set. The venue got cold during dinner, so we ordered heaters. One heater didn't work, and a staff member attempted to relight the heater for an entire hour while guests were eating. When asked if he could just get another heater, the staff member said we had to pay for a replacement (!!!). Our family provided a credit card while eating to remove the distraction. The fact that the staff member didn't just go get another heater or replace the propane tank for an entire hour, and the fact that we were charged for an ADDITIONAL HEATER to "solve" this problem just felt so petty after spending tens of thousands of dollars on the space. As an aftermath of this situation, we spoke to LOM and they did specifically apologize for this happening, and refunded the cost of the heater. The venue suggested we use the DJ included in our package and reassured us that they had used Good Time DJ Services for all of their previous weddings without issue. From the beginning, DJ Mike was difficult to deal with. He was hard to get a hold of, and very slow to respond to messages or emails. You are provided a spreadsheet to fill out with music choices, but even with this he was unable to put a good playlist together for us. The DJ also did not make an announcement to meet and greet our guests as the night's schedule progressed, so we missed this opportunity to connect with our guests on a 1-1 level. Missing this moment was a deep bruise on our memories of the evening. Although we had paid extra for this, many guests were told that they were only able to order beer, wine, and our two 'signature d

i went here with my friend (F21) and her fiancé (M21) to tour this spot which happened to be her DREAM venue. from the first moment we met with the coordinator, she immediately mentioned they looked too young to be getting married (which is something we brushed off quickly). the coordinator then proceeded to make unnecessary comments asking if we were old enough to drink and gave us a half ass tour because there was a wedding about to start -- which is a red flag in itself because why book a tour if the tour guide is going to preoccupied regardless? next, after we went into her office, she continued making comments saying they could take their time to "talk with their parents" -- insinuating their family was going to pay for it. she then proceeded to call us "that one" or "this one" when referring to the bridal party-- not even taking the time to establish trust between her clients. overall the bride to be was highly disappointed and didn't end up choosing this venue as we did not feel welcomed and felt discriminated against. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED YOUNG

HONEST Review. We had our wedding here about 2 months ago. Just know this place is not cheap. Even having our wedding on a weekday, it was extremely expensive. There were lots of things that were promised when we first were about to sign our contract that did not happen. - They stated we could bring as much alcohol as we wanted, but we had to make sure to bring it the day before since only the bar was allowed to give alcohol away. Well at our tasting other couples said they were told we could only bring ONE bottle of hard alcohol and maybe a case of beer. The bartender at the tasting, our coordinator, and the food caterer all gave us different answers. In the end we brought 2 bottles of hard alcohol and 3 cases of beer and they gave it out. BUT they stop serving alcohol an HOUR & A HALF before our wedding ended. We paid for the full hosted bar and most of our guests had to pay for their drinks after. Kinda ridiculous. They even went as far as to not pass out our beer that we paid for. The bartender let us know only we could be the ones to drink that since it was past cut off time. The older Hispanic bartender was incredible though she was the best. - the groom and bridal suite are beyond gorgeous. Unfortunately I did not get to use the bridal suite since they only let you in 5 hours before the ceremony. I had to get ready offsite and it made me so late to my wedding. Such a shame that you pay so much money and they won't let you in earlier.. - the buffet dinner was eh. At the tasting the food was so incredible but when it got to the wedding I was seriously so disappointed. We did end up having about 5-6 people no show to our wedding so those plates went to waste or whatever they do with the food. I had a last minute change to my photobooth people and they didn't offer my vendors any food. I feel like that's common sense but whatever. My dad also tried to get some chicken since their portion sizes are kid sized I'm not even kidding and they denied him. I felt awful that my guests were practically starving. The hors d'oeuvres they handed out were cold right after our ceremony and that was unfortunate since I was really looking forward to it. - BUT. There's absolutely a reason we picked this venue. There is nothing like it. It's so beautiful and they obviously take so much pride in this venue. I loved my wedding, and obviously things could be different but in the end it was a great day. They didn't have to, but they put the fire on in the lake since it was very dark when it was time to take our photos & it was a really thoughtful thing to do.

Thanks to the Lake Oak Meadows team, our wedding day was absolutely magical. Izzy from the office was quick to respond to all of my questions, requests, and concerns. Lisa, our coordinator, was amazing and definitely took a lot of the stress away from us. We got the platinum package and it was worth every penny. No stress, no fuss. Everything was already included with qualified professionals. From the coordinator, to the florist, to the officiant, to the bakery, etc. We didn't have to go shop around and read hundreds of yelp reviews to find the right person. Everyone went above and beyond for us. Our guests loved the venue. It was absolutely gorgeous and picture-perfect.

Don't know why this place would have any less than 5 stars. Staff is incredible and the place is a rustic brides dream! Our wedding was romantic and just all together perfection. Lisa Occhipinti, our coordinator was like a dream for any stressed bride! Eased my nerves every second and was super attentive! Thank you Lake Oak and all your staff!

Hidden gem in wine country. You need to visit and see for yourself! We plan on returning to see it lit up at nighttime.

I booked my wedding in March 2022 for 10/08/2023. Lake Oak Meadows was an Absolute DREAM to work with! I must say I was a little worried after someone had pointed out their recent negative reviews but after a little explanation and experiencing first hand just how amazing their team is, that worry quickly dissapeared. They have the best response time, every single person I have spoken with was polite and accomodating to all of my (crazy) asks, and on the day of their team was on top of everything! I was able to have zero worry about anything on the day of my wedding because their team took care of everything for me! Our food was absolutely amazing, our friends and family had the best time, and our sparkler grand exit was magical! There is not a single thing I would change about the best day of our lives! Thank you Lake Oak Meadows for giving me the best wedding I could have asked for!! I highly recommend this venue for couples looking to have the best wedding possible!

I fell in love with this venue the minute I saw it but ever since it has been a nightmare! They are unorganized and can't get their bookkeeping straight. I got to frustrated with them I tried to cancel, mind you early enough to get at least a partial refund and they have put me off time and time again. They sold my date and still, no refund. It's so bad that all I want now is for them to stop emailing me about booking DJ's and other vendors and now, even though I canceled over a year ago, they just sent me a bill! Don't book this venue! They are not worth the drama and frustration

Do not have your wedding here. We paid over 40k for our wedding and didn't get multiple major things promised in our contract; we didn't even get our grand exit we planned for! Then the venue has the audacity to charge hundreds of dollars after for things we never did without telling us. When I tried to reach out to management I was literally told: too bad. Management is absolute sleezebags and only care about your money without delivering.

Not recommended. My fiance and I work in law enforcement and were super careful about being upfront with what we wanted in the wedding and following their rules. We had prior approval with our day-of coordinator to pass out small shooters of alcohol in the ceremony. It wasn't until two days later that we got fined for an \"alcohol violation.\" Apparently we weren't supposed to hand out shooters. When I told management I had approval with my coordinator, they then changed the reasoning to because they found an empty beer can in the suite. I can say with 100% certainty that our bridal party did not bring any outside alcohol into the suite as requested. Friends and family did stop by the suite to say hi and probably left their trash behind. But we got fined $515 for trash left by people coming by to say hi. No employees mentioned anything to us on the day of or asked about outside alcohol. They literally fined us $500+ for trash left behind by wedding guests. We also paid for a second bartender that was non existent most the evening. When we asked the single bartender where he was, she slipped up and said they usually send him home around 7-8. We had to go to management and ask for the second bartender we paid for and were returned with nothing but a huge attitude. We never got our grand exit that we had requested and planned for! The venue communication leading up to the wedding was awful. Id go days and weeks without hearing back from anyone, and it seemed as if the things I requested were always lost in translation. They always blamed it on \"changing management.\" The venue definitely is beautiful. My day of coordinator was very sweet and helpful. But I feel so disappointed by how we were treated by Lake Oak Meadows and for the insane amount of money we paid for the wedding, I would have definitely gone somewhere else.

My friend has her wedding here and it was beautiful. If I lived in that area I would definitely do my wedding there!
