Please don’t use this company. My furniture was scratched . They don’t wrap the furniture and don’t handle it gently. They put boxes anywhere. I had bathroom boxes in the living room. They almost canceled my appointment without consulting me . They don’t follow direction well. When I called to complain about my dresser being scratched , no one called me back. They contract out movers.

I hired these guys for a move, it was a disaster! First they were three hours late, they broke several items and milked the clock by milling around instead of trying to get the move done expeditiously. Don't hire these guys.

do not use this company. they're contract doesn't reflect what they tell you over the phone. i believe giant monkey movers sub-contracted to "get moving" & you don't know what you're in for!!! they billed me for 7 hours when they worked 5 hours. in addition, i had to jumpstart their 15 ft. moving truck twice (loading & unloading)! get moving contacted me today and attempted to bill me an additional $529 on top of the $549!!! my review of the contract from giant monkey: payment breakdown: 2 man crew for a 3 hour minimum $549 for the first 3 hours === total i paid for 3 hours. -$279 deposit collected (amount to be credited towards the final payment) === upon booking, kaylin told me they required this deposit to book and secure the moving men. note: a reputable company wouldn't require a 51% deposit prior to any work. i should've terminated the conversation right there! i'd paid the remainder $270 with cash when the work was completed, as i'd told kaylin i would -definitely something i'll never do again! additional hours: prorated in 15 minute increments $80 an hour after 3 hours === they went over 2 hours. that means i would owe them $160.00 not $529!!! they didn't credit the cash i'd already paid when the job was complete, and charged me an additional hour! ***total billable time will be calculated based on the round trip between the loading and unload address. === my question is, what's included in the $549 charges for the 1st 3 hours??? if to & from travel time isn't included here, then this statement should clearly state that. customers beware!!! === moving companies should have trucks with functional batteries. customers should *not* be having to jumpstart your trucks! in addition, they should have professional movers who don't use profanity and smoke on the job. as i argued the ridiculous charges with kaylin and having to jumpstart their truck, his said i'd done a good deed. --wth kind of service recovery response is that?! after much wasted valuable time and grueling headache, joe from get moving agreed to reduce the ridiculous balance to $240. he wanted to me to believe he was crediting me $20 for each battery jumpstart, but instead really charged me an additional $80. maybe they'll take that extra money as another one of my good deeds and buy a new battery for that poor truck!!! lesson learned: won't be using this company ever again! i recommend you don't either!

Mark and Leonte were fantastic! They did an awesome job of moving our stuff. They were prompt, well prepared, and extremely nice. Their customer service was exceptional and I would definitely recommend them for your next move!!!

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! PLEASE DON'T. This moving company did the absolute worst job on my parent's move this week. 3 guys showed up, 1 left within 30 minutes for a family emergency and left 2 lousy young guys behind to move a simple 2 bedroom condo. They didn't bring any tools and asked to use ours. SO MUCH DAMAGE TO BOTH HOUSES. They were slow and were flat out horrible. Monkeys could have done a better job than these clowns. Do NOT use, you've been warned.

I cannot believe how awful my move was. I have used movers everytime I moved and this was the first nightmare. I think this is a referral service so you will not know exactly who you are getting which is why sometimes the service is good and others it is not. If you get three pot smoking, unprofessional "movers" who utilize the "N" word non-stop, fight both physically and verbally, don't get all of your stuff moved, damage everything, cannot operate the moving truck, show up 2 hours late, do not possess tools, and make you fear for your personal safety, I suggest you send them home as soon as possible and call Golden Eagle instead (don't try to save a buck - it's not worth it). At least the owner compensated me for some of my damaged items.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY, AND BREAK YOUR PRECIOUS THINGS! The day after my move I contacted customer service and asked Caylen 4 times for the corporate number to complain and speak with someone in charge, was refused all 4 times and told the only way to get things done is to file a claim by email. I filed a claim and have been waiting to received my refund and this is what Rachel in the claims dept sent me yesterday to my email: Hello Denise If you have already posted a negative review online, it can take 6 Weeks for the claims department to come up with a decision from the time you submitted your paperwork. Since you decided to post a negative review before we were able to process your claim, you are being put last in priority. Do not expect any urgency or generosity from us as long as that review is still posted. Rachel (claims dept) THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEY DO NOT VALUE ANYONE, OR ANYTHING BUT THEMSELVES! Corporate office if you are reading this I would love to speak with you. I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism in my life. My movers canceled on me 24 hours before they were supposed to move me didn't know what to do so I got online and found giant monkey movers about 8 PM Friday evening I couldn't believe it how easy was . I made the reservation for Sunday morning they were there right on time. The two gentlemen that moved us for a very polite well mannered and professional I recommend this company to anybody if you're looking for someone that's going to move you and take care of your belongings

The customer service that I received from Giant Monkey movers was AWESOME!!!! Prompt, direct, clear cut, professional, and timely. Not one item was broken. That is piece of mind in itself. The billing invoice was easy to understand and there were no hidden charges or add-ons in the end. I am the Director of Operations with a nationwide company that is used by PODS. In California the prefered company that we call first for all of our labor jobs is Giant Monkey Movers. They care about the quality of work that is done, and making sure that the customer is happy with the job. These guys never do any job halfway. When I started with the comapny, they used other companies in California. At that time my company would call Giant Monkey Movers to fix the mistakes other companies would make. I made the change to just calling the pros in the first place! My customers won, and so did my company! CALL GIANT MONKEYS FIRST, if you want it done right the first time!

Giant Monkey Movers recently helped me relocate from Upland to Montclair. The two movers (Derek and Bret, I believe) arrived in a timely manner, and once given the rundown on the situation, set out to work at a quick and relentless pace. I had numerous bulky and heavy items that I was worried about getting to my new place, (especially since it was an upstairs loft) but GM Movers removed any stress from my mind once I saw them in action. They were very professional, consistent and made sure to handle all of my belongings with care without compromising the time that I had them booked for. To anyone who is attempting a move now or in the near future, I would definitely recommend GM Movers to lighten the load for you, and then some.
