Don't let the 4.5 star review fool you. After only 8 reviews, it's not enough to tell the truth and after the experience I've had with them, I would not have my worst enemy do business with Fourth Street Automotive, but if you are still considering doing so, I suggest this: Get an iron clad legal contract in writing before turning your car over to them because the owner of this business is not an honest man. He stated that he does not do anything in writing...except his invoices that is. I hired him to restore my classic vehicle. I was promised a completion date of four and a half months. Three years later, he held my car ransom for literally thousands of dollars and neglected to return literally dozens of parts when I finally recovered the vehicle, most of them being expensive body accessories and the most valuable engine parts. He even gloated that he had done this to previous customers many times before me, proudly flaunting his knowledge of how to twist the laws to his own ends. An damning investigation from the Bureau of Automotive Repair didn't phase him. The local automotive community can't say enough about his horrible reputation. I guess PT Barnum was right. There's a sucker born every minute and he knows how to find them. Take my advice and don't be one of them.ADDITIONAL 8/23 - Since recovering my vehicle from this "business," I have had to systematically replace or repair EVERYTHING Fourth Street Automotive did to my car from the paint job, to the windows, to the engine, and electrical system. Literally everything. The fact that he now runs a restaurant on half of his property might say how bad a mechanic he is.

DO NOT do business here. He does not know how to communicate. He will not show any respect to clients and will use vulgar words. There are other problems mentioned on here related to his services that should tell you everything. Save yourself the anger and your money!

Another great experience for a brake upgrade on my F250! Working with Mark and the mechanics at Fouthstreet Automotive has always been and always is a good experience. Professional and top of the line service for everyone. I have trusted this shop for all my vehicles from my classic, to my aging pickup, to my 2021 luxury model.Services: Auto brake repair

They opened a barbecue restaurant next to the shop. Great food, great service, great live music and a really cool atmosphere. They have classic cars lined up which sealed the deal.

Went to this place a couple weeks ago to get general maintenance after my car hit 60k miles. Terrible service, they kept my car for over 3 weeks while giving me excuses. I called to ask 3 times over the 3 weeks and on the last time someone (the owner?) called me a racial slur (c word for asian). When I went to pick up my car, I tried to talk to the owner but he called me a liar and started getting physically aggressive so I just took my car and left.Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. I’m still worried they might have messed with my car.Services: Oil change

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. Save your money & peace of mind. The man in charge is not mentally stable & very aggressive. He does not know how to communicate & would rather be confrontational. He has no problem getting in your face & using vulgar words. Check Yelp reviews before making your decision. There are other horrible reviews on the services he offers. It’s 2021, there is no reason ANYONE should put up with a person as disrespectful as he is.

Hearing that a business doesn’t value great customer service and instead uses vulgar language toward its customer is very unsettling as a potential customer. Please look at this locations YELP reviews and you will see that this is NOT the first time they have done this before. Now to hear that you wanted to physically hurt a paying customer is unacceptable. Hope this serves you as a lesson learned and you will learn from this experience and better your work ethic or simply not be in the customer service business.

To begin with, I would never come to this place to fix my car or give business to this aggressive man. The owner of this place is discriminating apart from the fact that in his reviews people say that he does not know how to fix cars and it is very problematic. Be careful with him he is a maniac!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. The owner is a p***** A complete p***** He is extremely aggressive and confrontational. The worst person I have ever came across I wish I never crossed paths with him. The absolute worst. Do not support his business, if you do, then good luck to you. You are putting yourself at risk. I'm telling you, he is extremely aggressive and confrontational. Worst man ever.

Trustworthy mechanics! They have been working on my vehicles for 8 years. My 39' RV, Jeep Wrangler, Ford F350- oil change, gas tank replacement, smog emissions corrections, they do it all. Better pricing than a car dealership.

0 stars. The same issue I seen others have about them misdiagnosing is what I had. They make you pay over and over while they guess what it is. The worst mechanic I have ever had service done at. My car shut off and wouldn't start and I called because my car wouldn't start and I didn't feel safe driving it "well you can tow it" I already didn't want to go in because of the service even though they have a tow flat, but parents insisted. I was first told it was the alternator and battery, over $800. Two days later the car did the same thing. I called after a couple days to check on the car, Mark answers and is the snottiest person I've ever spoke to. "Didn't you just call on Friday?!" So tf if I did you're being paid for the SECOND time for the same issue and he charged us another $200 dollars for a throttle cleaning. My stepdad went in after he yelled at me on the phone, the punk is only disrespectful to women. My car is now even worse after this j*** worked on it, I refuse to let him touch it again. When I get gas now the car will not start and the car is still having the same problem but worse. He is incompetent, rude and a con artist. I will never recommend anyone to this joke of a mechanic. If you want to lose over 1k and your car come out worse this is the place. To do this to people during a pandemic and rip people off is a disgrace. I'm going to pay money for someone to actually do their job right someplace else. They shouldn't be charging people for multiple repairs for the same thing. Obviously if the cars are breaking down again that means YOU made the mistake and need to suck up the loss and charge no further and fix it for free. It's your fault, you now need to do what you charged us for. Lawsuits are needed against this place.

Spoke with Mark who yelled and attempted to belittle me on the phone and was the rudest person I’ve ever spoke with. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

I was recommended to this place by another great mechanic in town that was a little to busy with other work, Dave at Auto Doctor. Thank you Dave for the great recommendation. Mark and his crew did a great job. Someone apparently tried to steal my catalytic converter and really messed my car up. After I got my car back, it ran better than before the attempted theft. Thanks Forth Street Automotive.

Mark and his team have been working on all my cars for over 25 years. They have been my go too for every car related issue from custom builds to normal maintenance and repair issues and have always provided the best advice and repair services. HIGHLY RECOMMEND them over dealership service department.
