Charles is a nice person, but just make sure you really look closely at what is being written off. I did get a good return, but now having to pay fines for previous years, looking at what deductions were made, there are alot of red flags: $5,624 for Personal Property Taxes (I don't even own any property!) $8,875 Gifts to Charity (Only donated some clothes those years) $28,675 Unreimbursed Employee Expenses I only made $70k gross while I was working. Spoke to another CPA and showed him these numbers and he thought they were insane. He wasn't surprised I got audited. Also some deductions that I mentioned were not added at all, for actual losses from stocks he actually wrote that I made $1,000. He never really seemed to listen to what I said, but just seemed to fill everything in from a template. Had to spend a lot of time going back and forth with the IRS and Cal FTB to fix it. I'm struggling to keep my business afloat and how I have to come up with $6k extra to be able to pay off just the California Franchise Tax Board. Very frustrating, I highly recommend against this person. You will get a great tax return, but in a few years you'll have to pay everything back with penalties. For someone like me who left my full time job to start my own business, having to pay back tens of thousands is extremely stressful, and I am now in debt for the first time in my life. Something I worked very hard, and sacrificed much, to avoid.
