Bought a 2009 mini cooper here seemed like it was in good condition BUT it broke down a week later and hasn't worked since. I've put 5k into it so far. I paid 5k for it - the dealer was not willing to negotiate. They are slick with their paperwork so your basically paying for junk cars.No notoriety or accountability.I wouldn't say the man was rude but he didn't seem passionate about car sales...When I called to tell them the car was broken they said "what do you want me to do" and hung up PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE ... they take no pride in their business it's just a SCAM

Salim is a horrible person. BEWARE! So glad I read this before we purchased. His customer service over the phone was enough to alert me to the shady character he is. He wouldn't even provide his address, he told me to look it up on their website. Do not buy from this person. ZERO STARS!!!

If I could give zero stars I would, I wish I read reviews before visiting this establishment. I purchased a car from Sal for my 17 year old son. Within the hour it took to drive home the check engine light came on. I called Sal (the owner) and he said it must be a simple fix like a spark plug. I took the car to the mechanic this morning, and the motor needs to be replaced, due to low compression of the 4th cylinder. The psi was much lower than the other 3 cylinders. There was a traction light on, which Sal said was a sensor issue. The mechanic informed me that was also untrue, the car needs a new ABS module. When I called Sal to see if he would take the car back, he told me I signed for it, so it is my problem and he had no need to communicate with me any further. DO NOT BUY from California Auto Sales. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE. SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE!

Run as fast as you can from this so called car dealer. They're rip offs. They'll sell you anything without a conscience. If they had zero stars that would be too many for these hoodlums.

Well, we bought a car here. It was a long drive up and a comfy drive back in the nice 2011 Nissan Maxima that we purchased. I appreciate Salim. It was raining as soon as we arrived! He allowed us to drive two different vehicles multiple times before we settle on the Nissan. I also wanted this beautiful 2014 Toyota camry but I chose the Nissan. He was very helpful with details and straight forward. Phone etiquette is not his strongest attribute, but realistically the vehicle itself is what matters at the end of the day. His prices were very reasonable. I would absolutely consider buying another vehicle from him if he has something I want. Thank you Salim ?

Had a great-looking deal posted on Car Guru. Wanted to buy it but read the bad reviews. Called him while on the way there to say that I'd only buy it if I could have a mechanic check the car out. He said no way. He didn't have time to let a mechanic waste his time looking at the car. It would have been my time and my dime. I'm sure he had reasons for not wanting a mechanic to check it. Ask yourself, what kind of car dealer would refuse to allow your mechanic to look over the car he's selling?

Very rude! Especially when I called to get information. Read the reviews before making a decision. An educated shopper is a safe shopper :)

Keep away & stay away from this place if possible. Salim Purmul is the dishonest owner The negative reviews of this place are all true. I made the mistake of seeing Salim Purmul as decent people with a small business. They are deceiving and dishonest to say the least. I operated in good faith in purchase of a 2014 Chevy Spark. Engine clean, no leaks, and no issue during 10 minute test drive on flat surface. I thought I was getting a good deal. Only issue brought up was A/C did not flow through front air vents. I purchase the car, sign for it. Half way on the 15 minute drive home it starts jerking, engine starts revving high but going only 5 mph, and stopped in middle of intersection. All symptoms of a bad transmission. I barely make it home after numerous start and stops. I call the next morning to see Cal Auto Sale will at least make this right. They attempted to blame issue on me. Then said its probably a less severe issue than transmission. I did decline the 48-72 hour insurance. to return car with no issue. However, I believe Salim and California Auto Sale knew about the transmission issue before the sale and scammed me. They are not doing right by me and I will be saddled with a $3500 transmission repair bill. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and consider my legal options.

Not sure these guys realize They're in the business of sales. Spoke to Male with middle Eastern accent over phone and he showed absolutely no phone etiquette or regard towards us over the phone. I hope these guys read these reviews and learn on how to improve customer service. Gave off a bad vibe over the phone which thankfully led me to look them up online. Glad I did that and definitely NOT surprised of the reviews I came across. Becareful out there! Thankful for Google Reviews!!!

Would give zero stars, don't believe the Only positive review you see, its Basically the salesman posting a positive review for himself... rude over the phone, I put that aside to see the car I wanted and took the time to drive down and see it... is not truthful on all the cars he posts that are "Clean titles/no mechanical issues" engine light was on, AC is busted, doesn't want to budget or negotiate price, only wants to make a sale and have you hear what you want to hear... very unethical, rude, dishonest, and pushy.Save your money, don't get Scammed.

Very disappointed with this dealer. Bought the car for my son and a week later blown head gasket. He hasn't really driven it because we were waiting on insurance. Then on the day we got insurance I sent him to a tire place and he broke down and couldn't even get new tires. We haven't even put 200 miles on it and this happens. The owner of the dealer pretty much said it is my problem. Our mechanic believes they put a temporary stop leak in the radiator to make it seem fine. We are going to prove this. I'm definitely taking him to court. "STAY AWAY FROM CALIFORNIA AUTO SALES". As a small business owner we like to support others. We are obviously not the first and won't be the last. Being under 30 days and definitely under 1000 miles California has a law against used cars being sold in this condition. There is no way Salim did not know about the issues the vehicle had as he assured us his mechanic inspected the vehicle and it was cleared as a good vehicle which passed smog. California Auto Sales, you are definitely not done with us!
