This place is rediculous and not patient focused. My father continues to have his appointments cancelled due to staff quitting, only to be pushed out months to see a provider. All the while, we are having problems regulating his sugar and insulin and they refuse to refill his insulin until last minute. Horrible patient advocacy!

I tried to refer a patient to this location for over one month. They claimed that they never received the faxes that I sent, and when they finally received my fax they never called patient because a "chart" was never created. Once chart was created and they were provided with all patients info, they called patient, and told patient that they could not see them. I have tried calling several times to clarify the mix up, but unable to get through. It should not take this long for a patient to get an appointment, and it should not be this difficulty for patient to get treatment. Will be looking for another place. I really hope this situation is a one time thing, if not, I feel sorry for all the patients who are interested in this office, and for the patients who are currently enrolled with this office.

It’s not a medical office, it’s a rip off center. They make you pay more than your bill before you can hear your results from a cancer biopsy. Despicable.

This group is not responsive. Do not recommend contacting this office unless you want to wait forever. What a bunch of unprofessional disorganized staff. Stay away!!!

My doctor made a referral to see one of the four Endocrinologists associated with this practice. I thought they were pulling my leg, when I was told that it would take nearly five months for the next appointment; but I smiled and said sure and then went with the flow. When I arrived and after having my vitals checked; I was informed that a doctor wasn't available. But I could instead see an NP, or be rescheduled for a date in February. Hmmm. I really don't enjoy being bamboozled, so at this I took a pass.

The worst, they asked me to pay $480 up frobt for my deductible, which is an illegal billing practice. The front office has no billing experience at all. I walked out after waiting 2 weeks for an appointment

The provider I saw was thorough and kind. I feel hopeful about my future treatments.

I've been seeing doctors in this group for over 6 years . Their service has recently become impossible to deal with. It is almost always impossible to reach anyone on the phone. If you need to get in touch with a person there find another endocrinologist!

Front office is unresponsive. Firstly, no one answers the phone when you call. You're prompted to leave a message. I've done so and have never received a return call. I've asked for lab request to be mailed to me. Waited two weeks. Never got them. I need to see the doctor earlier than my appointed time so I'm going to have to go there in person to see if I can get any response or help.

I recently began experiencing complications with an ongoing thyroid disorder and was referred to a local endocrinologist. Needless to say, I left that appointment with more questions than answers, conflicting information and a "one size fits all" treatment plan. I decided to ask for a second opinion and was referred to Dr. Uribe-Bruce at AMCR. I am so thankful I requested the second opinion!! Not only did Dr. Uribe-Bruce answer all of my questions thoroughly, she also took the time to explain the importance of ruling out other potential possibilities for my issue before proceeding with treatment. She ordered a multitude of lab tests and created a treatment plan AFTER receiving lab results to ensure my treatment plan was specific to me vice a "one size fits all" approach. Throughout this entire process Dr. Uribe-Bruce has been kind, compassionate and timely. It'll be a few more weeks before we know how well my body is responding to treatment. However, I am confident Dr. Uribe-Bruce will continue to provide quality care. In addition, the staff has always been helpful and very polite. When I ran into a small issue with a prescription, they helped to get everything fixed quickly. Their patient portal is hugely helpful and overall I am very thankful I asked for that second opinion!

I went there to move on to the next step of dealing with my Hashimoto's (by getting medication) and the NP said that it doesn't say I have that. But my regular doctor had put it in my records because we have been monitoring my blood work for over a year now. All she did was explain what we would do and then ordered more blood work. The receptionist were nice tho.

Receptionists are extremely rude. I called in with concerns about insurance coverage and was hung up on and when I called back she said to call my insurance and that she didn't know if they were in network or not. I told her my insurance said they are but I got a letter saying they may not be. She was really short with me and acted like she didn't care. Second situation I called to ask questions about an upcoming appointment and biopsy results. She said she would call me back and never did. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because Dr Hariharan is extremely nice. They just need a new front office staff.

I have been a Type 2 Diabetic for some time now. Sometimes I "watch myself" and sometimes I dont. I had been going to Dr. Varma for the last few years. When I initially came to him, my Diabetes was "out of control". He placed me on some medications and explained, of course, I needed to lose weight, exercise, change my diet and test myself more often. He explained by doing so, I can possibly "jump start" my pancreas into making sufficient insulin again. It worked! got my sugar and my A1C down. After time, about a year ago, I was diagnosed with Leukemia (CLL). The weight loss and the symptoms caused me to lose sight of my Diabetes care and of course, back up the numbers went. I have been on some medications to treat the CLL and feel much better and it was time to get my sugar back in check. Dr Varma was on vacation and Ms. Haviland was available. She seemed nice enough. The first day I went back, my sugar was @ 376 and immediately she wanted to put me on Insulin. As I thought more about the prescription, I realized I was done putting more chemicals in my body which I explained to Ms. Haviland. I told her that when this had happened before, that Dr. Varma had put me on some medications and asked me to make some changes in my lifestyle and as I said before, it worked! So I told Md. Haviland that I wasn't interested in Insulin Treatment (which by the way, she told me there were no side effects and after researching found that there was) Well....from there everything changed. She became "short" "stand offish" and even a bit angry that I wasn't taking her "medical opinion" After reading about Ms. Haviland and some reviews, it occurred to me that she acted the same as described by others. I found out that she herself is a Type-1 Diabetic and i'm sure shes on Insulin. but she was so fast to insist Insulin Treatment it almost felt like she had "skin in the game" or if its OK for me its certainly OK for this little "Fat Italian" from the Bronx. I told her give me a couple of weeks and I guarantee I will get my sugar down. Went back in 2 weeks....Blood Pressure-Normal, Down 2 lbs, and Sugar down to almost half of what it was, just by making changes in my lifestyle in 2 weeks. So here I am at the 2nd appt. with Ms Haviland and again, "short", "stand offish" just like before. NO credit for the changes I was able to attain in the 2 short weeks and insistent on Insulin Treatment where my sugar was @ 200 non fasting. I explained that I dont doubt her experience and training, BUT, again, I'm not interested in going in that direction and told her that I can continue the course I'm on and try to do this myself. She said she understood and she told me she was "sad" for me. Huh?, sad?. I wasn't looking for empathy! I was looking for alternative solutions. I asked her..."If I lose weight, will my sugar correct itself"? she said yes, but still wanted me to manage an Insulin Treatment" rather than offer up any alternative, she just typed in her Laptop and said see you in 8 weeks. I dont know, It all just seems so weird. Like, either she thought I was doubting her, or she was just juvenile in being offended that I didn't want to take her suggestion. or she was on Insulin so its perfectly acceptable for others? Like I said, almost like she had some "skin in the game" I checked out her Instagram and it shows like a "Kardashian" photo album. All photos of her posing for the camera. I dont get it. Not the professional Medical guidance I was looking for. Still searching........

We had a wonderful experience! I had hyperthyroidism and Dr Bruce seen me right away. Scheduled me ASAP! The medications worked right away and took less than 3 months to be back to normal. Dr Bruce sent lab forms right away and scheduled ASAP as soon as results came back. We were satisfied with the care here! Highly recommended!!! Thank you
