“They were a ray of shining light during a dark time. They accommodated every thing my mother and her new husband wanted. Next to the venue is a lovely three bedroom house for the bride and groom and the wedding party to get ready in and for the bride and groom to spend the night in. Jamie was so flexible and never made us feel bad for making changes or running late. Ben was a great MC who kept the party fun. When we had a technical problem, Ben quickly came up with a solution. The food was delicious (we went with the Italian American choice). The photo booth was a big hit. They really anticipated every need. They made it a beautiful and memorable day.”

“My wife said it was "National Drink Wine Day". I thought she was pulling my leg. She said, "No, it's for real." Well, we are patriots, and we should celebrate this holiday. We headed off to Tehachapi and began at Triassic Winery with a tasting. Now, I'm not a wine expert by any stretch of the imagination. I've rarely met a glass of wine I didn't like. The wineries in Tehachapi, I understand there are five now, are really developing their own reputation. They are small and the wines are at the upper end of what our pocketbook can afford. But, the wineries are fun to visit. Tehachapi is a comfortable community. The people are friendly and the weather is nice.Triassic has a covered patio and an inside tasting room. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. We picked up one of their charcuterie boxes ($18.50) that included salami, cheese, nuts, berries, and crackers. There were 5 tastings in the flight. We started with the 209 Viognier. I thought this was a very nice white and preferred it over the 2020 Viognier Oaked. We then tried the 2018 Legacy Red, their Zin, and finally a sparkling Almond. They gave us a tasting sheet with very brief descriptions of the awards a variety had won. I logged on to their website and read more detailed descriptions of the wines. My wife and I played the "Did you pick up the notes of cocoa?" or other spices game. Triassic is a nice place to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. If it's not officially National Drink Wine Day, I think you can proclaim one on your own.”

“The room was nice and clean. However if you want a view of the mountains, avoid room 218. The window of this room is mostly blocked by the awning. Also this room is right above the automated front doors and they are quite loud.”
