“I am continually surprised over the kindness I receive from the staff when I least expect it. 3am I was having trouble with the self check and realized it was because the items were not covered by my EBT. Embarrassed enough but I now locked up the machine and needed help. The cashier came over, I explained what happened and without hesitation, he didn't even think about it, he reached into his own wallet and paid for my things. Preserved my dignity and but my jaw is still on the floor back there. Thank you man.”
“On a vacation get away to Tehachapi and needed a few things for our room, so we headed down to the chevron, which has the coolest market. Everything from food to house slippers and a neck pillow. Customer service was awesome. Shout out to Jackie. We had a good time talking to her. She was super friendly and helpful. This a cool spot for a small town.”

Kordian the shop manager was courteous and helpful, and with an oil change you get a free Subway Sandwich !….Baloo did an excellent job doing a PM service on my tractor!…I give this Loves Shop an A PLUS …5 STAR RATING!!…I’ll stop here always anytime i need my truck and trailer serviced!”

“First off, it's got chevron gas! Plus restroom access. But it's got great looking fried chicken, but I got the corn dogs and deep fried burritos. Also other foods, but I was in a hurry, it was called Bobby Salazar's. Customer service was good, the food server handed me the food and the cashier handed me the mustard, I'm guessing because of covid-19. They looked really good, only issue, they weren't hot, just Luke warm, what a disappointment. Oh well, I got gas and bathroom break, and man, Tehachapi was windy and cold, I thought I was in Chicago!”

“On this Thanksgiving morning I am thankful for the Flying J in Tehachapi! We stop both ways on our drive whether we need to or not (usually don't need to). Best gas station that I've ever been to, it feels like stopping in with family while we are on our journey. When we are traveling with others we can't wait to introduce them to "our" gas station.The pizza is amazing! The snack/beverage selection is on point. The minute we walk in the door we are greeted by all of the smiling employees, that offer to help with whatever we need.Cherry on top? All of the customers are on the same vibe too, always holding the door as we enter & exit (we do too), give you a smile or a hearty hello.Maybe there's something in the air up there but this is a special place”

“KAYKAY. KK. The man that runs and owns this gas station is really such a cool guy! He selflessly give to others, every day, and he gives everyone a chance. He is always kind to everyone that comes in his doors and genuinely cares how people are doing. If your not doing good he will take the time to stop and listen. Even if your a stranger just to see if he can make you feel better or offer some advice. Really cool guy. Im grateful i can call him my friend! Wide variety of gas station stuff...”
“KRISPY KRUNCHY CHICKEN at ValeroI just got the Buffalo and BBQ wings and have to say they were big, juicy on the inside and appropriately crispy outside.The flavor was nice with a tiger of spicy on the Buffalo style wing (I consider myself an expert and connoisseur on all things Buffalo Wings!), the BBQ style were sweet but no overly so. Tangy and delicious!The only downside was no Bleu Cheese dip to go with the wings as tradition dictates but it's early...All in all very good, 4 stars and hope they can earn the fifth star on my next visit!!!”

“Last night a kind and thoughtful Faststrip, lady store manager in Tehachapi, CA provided kindness and great assistance for my autistic grandson and myself. My carkeys, phone and purse accidently got locked in my car and we had to wait inside Faststrip out of the cold and rain until road service arrived. You hired a million dollar employee when you brought her onboard. She actually gave her dinner to my grandson. I was amazed at her generosity. Thank you from the bottom of my heart..”

“This is where Esaw and Amy and their children have worked since the day I got to this town. They are the bright spot of my day. Recently and most unfortunate, we lost Esaw. The family and the community was devastated at such a great loss, especially his lovely wife Amy. However, her children rolled up their sleeves and picked up the slack and brought the family business right back to the booming business that they knew when their father was here. Its so amazing to see the love and the care they take for one another. So do this favor for them, if you buy scratcher tickets and you have a winner, take it into their store. You will get your money for it and so will this family that has went through so much!”
