Decent hotel but expensive. I guess $200 for one night in a basic decent hotel is the new normal. Pool is small. WiFi is not actually free because it requires becoming a Marriott Bonvoy member. Anything that requires creating a new account to use is not free in my book. Breakfast was passable. Room was nice enough. Quiet at night.

Being a Marriott lifetime Titanium Elite member, I have stayed at lots of Marriott properties. Most have a 24 hour cancellation policy. This one has a 48 hour policy. My husband was too ill to travel, and I cancelled 26 hours before check in time. The hotel charged me $148, and refused to waive the fee, even though I am able to make the trip at this time. The Marriott Elite customer support was unable or unwilling to help. So I am staying at a Wyndham in Tehachapi this week. It is less money, same number of stars, and they have a 24 hour cancellation policy.

Desk Staff need to review their processes for verifying AAA membership status. E-wallet is here and should be accepted. Also allow customers to enter their AAA membership number during booking like all other hotel chains.

During my recent stay at this Marriott, I encountered a highly disappointing level of service due to the unfriendly management and team. The lack of hospitality and warmth from the staff significantly marred my experience. It's disheartening to come across such unwelcoming attitudes in a place that should feel like a home away from home. This experience has left me reconsidering my future choices when it comes to accommodation. Very unfortunate and truly disappointing.

The rooms were roomy and comfortable with good working thermostats. The bed was between soft and fim. The bedding was clean. The only issue I had was that the carpets could be vacuumed better when i stayed two different times in different rooms, one was a double queen room, and the other time was a King bed with guest room that was very spacious with two tvs. The hotel furniture could be updated because the varnish was peeling and exhibited a lot of wear. The bathroom needs recaulked in some areas. The bathroom fan was loud, and a bulb was out in the entrance way.. The stay was comfortable, quit, and not smelly. The area is far from the freeway, which is kind of a hassle to navigate to the hotel with stop signs. For $160 a night I shouldn't have to find these issues.

Far less than I would expect, even for Tehachapi. Way outdated for a Marriott hotel, the check in day the room was 55 degrees and it took all day to warm up. Terrible reception on the tv, service kept failing making it unwatchable, light bulbs out, bathroom fan that sounded like a freight train, soap container in shower empty, and the list could go on. One redeeming high point, they had a nice breakfast. You might want to look for an alternative.

Our spot when driving to Vegas. The town is nice quiet but has places to stop in on Main Street. Bakery restaurants alig the railroad. The front desk lady told us about TK pizza just next to it. The pizza was delicious!! Will eat inside next time. 4 stars because front desk didn’t acknowledge I was a gold and give me my automatic upgrade that it clearly states I’m entitled to. When I asked she said I don’t have any offers like that. I didn’t make it a big deal because it was just a stop over. She mentioned she was new so perhaps that’s the reason she didn’t know. Pool and hot tub inside with an outdoor patio. Breakfast in morning cafe free eggs and Udi’s muffins with the other basics. Included no fee. Left a tip. Clean as well the Town is clean. Street are well kept. No EV charger - wish they can get atleast a slow charger plug in. Tesla is about 25EV miles east to Majave or Bakersfield to the west.

We made a reservation for this hotel last week during the city wide power outage, the power came back on right after the outage. We called immediately to ask if we could cancel the room. The employee assured me we could because of the extenuating circumstances. However the reservation was never canceled. I called the manager to further discuss the cancellation and situation. She refused to refund the room for us due to a no show after having been told by their employee that our reservation was canceled.

Front desk staff were very friendly, and got me checked in and out quickly. Room was nice, with plenty of space. Bathroom is huge, and room had two TVs - one in a sitting area, one in the bed area. They were doing some type of construction, so notices were posted when there would be no hot water, not a huge issue. -1 star for location only because of the trains coming through at night could be heard quite well in the room, and their blaring horns kept me up.
