Everyone was so nice and Dr. Beverly took the time to explain everything for me. They treated my cat with compassion.

On October 14th, my family dog was seen by Billingsley vet. Kash was a patient of theirs for 4 and a half years, the vet knew my mom and Kash very well. He was diagnosed with degenerative spine damage during the visit and he was started on a course of steroids on this date. Early on October 19th, we found that Kash had passed away sometime during the night. The reality is we will never know what the cause of death was due to the autopsy being $4,000 which we were not able to afford. I am not angry at this.
What I am angry, disappointed and upset about is this: Coincidently, my dog had a physical appointment at their office the following Monday, 10/21 which my mom and I both went to. My mom had called to make Billingsley's office aware of Kash's passing over the weekend. Once we got there, they stated they were aware of his passing and were updating the chart. The vet then comes into examine my dog, the visit is short, done and she leaves. She did not acknowledge Kash's passing, acknowledge my mom, or at the very least offer her condolences. She was extremely cold and short. As someone who works in healthcare and has met people with compassion time after time, I felt it was a slap in the face to not even acknowledge the passing of a 4 and a half year long client and their owner. If I could give 0 stars I would, absolutely 0 bedside manner from her and 0 compassion. We will never be going back to Billingsley and strongly advise all pet owners to do the same.

I've brought all my animals to Billingsley for over 20 years now and I just got a new puppy. I called to make an appointment to get her spayed and was told "we haven't seen you in 8 years, we are only taking current clients" Sorry I waited till my last passed away to get a new one. You have spayed our last 5 dogs. And you might want to clear this up

There are not enough words to express how Amazing Dr. Billingsley & her entire staff are!!! You will NEVER find a veterinarian who is more dedicated to her patients & our critters than Dr. Billingsley & the same goes for everyone else who works in this clinic!! My wife Lori & I would be lost without the love, care & compassion she & her staff have shown us over the years!!!! One night about 9:30PM our German Shepherd Lexie started acting funny, we called Dr. Billingsley & she said meet me at the clinic now. My wife was home with COVID-19 so she couldn't go with us, Dr. Billingsley & her husband met me at the clinic, took my baby girl in to examine & with tears in her eyes told me Lexie's stomach is twisted! We could have tried an expense surgery or make the HARDEST decision ever, so I called my wife, she said goodbye to our sweetheart the Dr. Billingsley said just sit her with her, hold her & tell her you love her........for as long as you need. Her husband excused himself from the room with tears of compassion in his eyes, needless to say I was a mess but Dr. gave me the time I needed to release my baby then did her best to comfort me!! About a year later her Momma Roxie passed away in the middle of the night & at I believe 7:00AM on a Saturday I had to make another gut wrenching call to Dr. Billingsley......my Mamma's as we called her went to be with Lexie. Without hesitation Dr. Billingsley said we are so very sorry, my husband & I will meet you at the clinic when you can get Roxie here. When we pulled up Dr. Billingsley & her husband greeted Lori & I with hugs, heartfelt condolences & a gurney to take our Mamma's. When Lori & I (both crying & devastated) went to go in with them Dr. said take your time, tell her goodbye but let us take care of her. WOW!!! I'll leave my review at this but I have two more babies we lost after that & each time this kind, caring, compassionate Dr. was always there for us & our fur babies! With each of our losses, she & her staff sent cards with handwritten condolences, love & prayers! It doesn't get any better than this!!!! So to Dr. Billingsley, her husband & her entire staff we love & appreciate you more than you could ever imagine!!!!!

Not even worthy of a single star.
(If you view the reply on this, you can see they are vehement liars and do anything to keep business. Sounds like you guys intentionally made sure to not call the day of because you for sure wanted me terminated or you guys needed a good hour break to re-adjust from your super busy clientele of 100s of customers at once lmao. If I deprived anything, it's you out of getting another $500 out of me, you know you can call and ask "hey are you still going to make it?" If i said "aw man sorry i dont think i can make it due to an emergency" you could have used my appt time to bring in other patients cause if you really cared about depriving pets of appointment times you would have been on the phone filling that slot ☺️
My pets recieved expensive care that absolutely did nothing but prolong suffering, the other vet i ended up going to asked me "Why would they prescribe such a treatment if they couldn't even tell you the exact problem, they are treating it as mange??" Yeah, two different things Billingsley. Not only are you and your team liars but also very ill minded about real animal Medical problems, you guys only seem to fix little problems like getting vaccines, removing thorns, etc. Super unprofessional and RUDE staff to mention)
I really hope people see this review and all the others ones complaining about the same stuff. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE THEY ARE AT RISK.
Sorry, I used to love this vet it was the only place to take my pups. Frankly, it was the only open vet we trusted around cause we live in California City. I missed my appointment (in which they informed me and reminded the day before that I have one) and got a call this morning telling me they will never see my pets again and that I'm terminated from services with them.
So unjustified.. They had a whole hour, waiting for me, of radio silence to call and confirm "hey you're on the way, right?" I admit that I may have gotten distracted yesterday, but that's completely uncalled for.
(This is policy. If you happen to miss an appointment they prepare for, they will terminate you too, never see your pet again and HOPEFULLY release and send your records)
Not that it matters anyway. I had to waste $500 going there previously for 1 dog that had a nasty skin condition that basically had microscopic mites infesting the entirety of its skin. They absolutely could not figure out the problem and were just throwing random anibiotic meds at him to hope he'd heal, 2 weeks after trying them and their treatments, no improvement, just constant whining, bleeding, and suffering.
I took him to a REAL VET, the Animal Medical Center of the Antelope Valley in Palmdale and they were able to assess the problem immediately, that day he recieved steroids, antibiotics and a TREATMEMT PLAN and he was healed within 3 weeks. They would never go as far to care for your pet enough to give them a TREATMENT PLAN at Billinsgley... cause once you're out of their hair, they gotta worry about the other 20 people they are seeing so they can jeopardize their pets' lives! They just expect you to come back when the problem isn't solved and to charge another INSANE amount for a treatment that won't work. ?♂️
Maybe this vet only has time and experience for farm animals, cause common household pets will suffer at the hands of Billingsley and her team there, they are so focused with the 100s of calls a day (I was told apparently ?) and ill practice they can't even pay attention to the actual problems your animal is having and will throw meds at your pet in hopes of survival.
I'll be taking my pets to real vets from now on. But hey, maybe if I get a horse or donkey, I'll have a friend take it to Billingsley for her special treatment.

I have been going to Dr. Billingsley's Vet Clinic for over 20ty years now. Best vets EVER. They have ALWAYS been there when I needed them. Great service, affordable, highly skilled & compassionate. I have also help at the clinic and they are the same behind closed doors as they are with the public. Such a caring team of people working there. The clinic has a bright and cheery atmosphere. They have cared for my Horses, cats, & chickens. They are trust worthy & reliable. I can't say enough about how much comfort they give me when caring for my animals.

Atrocious treatment of animals imo. Our family dog has cancer & was brought into their clinic due to pain. The vet clearly stated the dog is not in pain.
They did write a script for a specific medication and marked “no substitution” when I was unable to get medication filled, I went back and they issued medication under a substitution name.
Non ethical.

Dr. Billingsley is an amazing vet! I thought my cat was about to die so I brought him in. He wasn't eating and was lethargic. I was also concerned that the visit was going to cost me a fortune in scans, tests, and medication. Dr. Billingsley is experienced and intuitive. She sensed what was wrong with him and healed him. In a couple of days, he was back to normal and my bill was reasonable and affordable. I'm so grateful for Dr. Billingsley and definitely bringing my other animals to her.

Only placing this review on the sole basis of the phone receptionist. I placed a call to obtain information for a possible appt and the phone receptionist wasn’t very polite and a bit shrewd.
Maybe she was having an off day but as a customer service rep myself, it wasn’t necessary. If management does see this review, I’d recommend speaking to your staff to have a bit more of friendlier tone when speaking to people. First impressions count. I would’ve been a new client but I will not be using this business for my pet’s needs.

I am extremely disappointed with the care my French Bulldog, Ashes, received from Dr. Beverly Billingsley. Despite my dog being very sick, Dr. Billingsley was callous and stubborn about giving her X-rays, which could have identified the problem much sooner. Instead, I spent over a thousand dollars on 5 or 6 office visits, and unnecessary treatments that did nothing to help my dog. An X-ray, which costs only $75, could have prevented the entire ordeal they put us through on DAY ONE.
Over the course of a month, Ashes became so emaciated that when we finally sought help from the emergency vet in Bakersfield, they warned me she might not even survive the surgery. The blockage that had been in her for over a month could have adhered to her intestinal tract, and there was a real possibility they would have had to put her down on the table. The vet warned us that she had never witnessed a dog that had a blockage in their stomach for over a month survive something like this, Ashes would be considered a miracle. It was an incredibly stressful and heart-wrenching situation that could have been avoided entirely with a simple X-ray during our first visit.
During this entire time, Dr. Billingsley never personally saw my dog. It was her staff and vet students who handled Ashes. The only time Dr. Billingsley saw her was on the last two visits, which were on a Tuesday and Wednesday (6/25-6/26) when we FINALLY got X-rays done to identify the blockage after a whole month of dealing with this! Frenchies are normally 25 to 30 pounds, but Ashes got down to seventeen pounds. I will include pictures of how bad she got. This vet office sat and watched her wither away and did nothing but prescribe useless treatments.
I repeatedly asked them for an X-ray, but each time I was diverted with, "Let's try this instead." This kind of negligence is unacceptable. Now I am left with a $5,000 surgery bill from the new vet, who, thankfully, was able to save Ashes. They were shocked at Ashes' appearance while under a month of care at Billingsleys office.
The staff were kind and willing to arrange appointments for us to keep coming in $$$, and I appreciate their efforts. My issue is not with the staff's kindness but with the sinister motives behind it. I feel like this was absolute negligence and financial extortion on the part of Dr. Billingsley. French Bulldogs are not cheap animals, and I believe that because I had a French Bulldog, she saw dollar signs when we walked into her office. The lack of proper diagnosis and care not only put Ashes' life at risk but also caused unnecessary emotional AND financial stress.
I would not recommend this practice based on my experience. Please be cautious if you decide to bring your pet here. I'm not trying to bash here, but this experience was traumatic. Please be cautious ⚠️. Advocate strongly for your animal.

We had to put or beloved fur baby Boka down today. All who know me know I wouldn't normally post this but I need your help to teach a young lady named Christina who works the front desk at Billingsley Veterinary Clinic how far bad behavior spreads in hopes she changes her attitude and behaviors.
We took our beloved cat Boka in because she was suffering and we had to make that incredibly heart braking decision to put her down. Christina decided it was appropriate to make a tissst sound and roll her eyes and head when I was explaining we had just had her there in December and was told she was fine. Then while waiting Christina continued to look my daughter up and down shaking her head with a discusted look. News flash little miss some people work for a living and get dirty so shame on you for judging people.
Remember you are representing a business and are the first and last person they see so you need to show compassion not rude judgment.
Please pass this on share so maybe she will see how her BAD ACCTIONS RIPPLE EFFECT
