He tried to charge $350 for a $100 alternator plus the labor $500 out of the door.Refused to do it if I bring the part myself , just turned the corner got the same job for $390. Alternator was for 2010 Hyundai, search online for autozone or any other store will see how much he tried to upcharge for it.

I'm almost scared to say how amazing this place is because if I do then I'll never be able to get my car fixed last minute. Oh well. Guess I'll have to deal. Go. I'm serious. If there's anything and I mean anything wrong with your car, they've got you. Robert is the man for fixing rides. Kind, funny and fairly priced. Yeah it's a drive but do you want to trust your car to someone who can't figure out how to pop the hood? Didn't think so. You're welcome.

I had a misfire in the #4 cylinder if my 2001 Ford Explorer. I went to 4 different shops before stumbling upon Robert Stapp Automotive. Not liking the response I got from the others garages I went to, I was told a minimum of $200 just to diagnose the problem. I have a code reader so the diagnosis was already done. The young gentleman who works for Robert instantly started to diagnose my car the old fashioned way HANDS ON. Within a couple of minutes he was confident that he could fix my issue. He took the time to explain to me that my #4 spark plug was cross threaded. He explained fully the hazards of it breaking upon removal but assured me that they will do their best to be careful. They had my car for 4 hours when I got a call saying that it was done. I went down to pick up my car and I was very happy when I was told that I would cost me $70. Are you kidding me, other shops wanted almost 3 times that to just tell me what the problem was. When my vehicle was brought to him the CHECK ENGINE light was on due to it RUNNING TOO LEAN. Now that light is off and another problem was fixed without asking or charging a lot. That has been 5 days now and the check engine light is still off which tells me they fixed the issue, not just reset the code. THANK YOU ROBERT STAPP AUTOMOTIVE. I will be back.

I come here to get my regular check up and so far it's been good. I can say I trust Carlos very much with my car . He gets the job done and knows what he's doing . Smart Guy!! Robert is very friendly with welcoming me . It's right on reseda and roscoe!

I known Robert over 20 years . I’ve been taking my personal cars and company trucks to get repaired here . From minor to major repairs such has new motors in both my work trucks . I have to depend on my trucks all the time , not worth it trying another shop although my business is in Glendale , it’s worth piece of mind .
