Cute game and toy store! If you are in the Tahoe area and need or want entertainment this is your spot! Games/ books/ toys/ puzzles/ arts- everything you can imagine! Good prices too and employees were very friendly. The store is incredibly well organized as well.

This is the best toy store. I visit every time I am in town and I always find something unique for various kid ages. Lisa is extremely helpful in guiding you to an appropriate and special toy for your child or for a gift. Highly recommend!

What a fabulous store! The owner is so friendly and took her time helping us. Fantastic toys and games fill every nook and cranny of this little gem! Highly recommend a stop here for every bday and holiday you're gifting for (even for grownups!) :)

See below for previous review. I went in today and had EXCELLENT service. Like so much better! Ended up getting a lot of little trinkets for the holidays and had fun doing so. Thank you!!!! Previous review: The selection at this shop is top notch. Unique and unexpected mixed with tried and true. However, like most places in the Tahoe area, they are experiencing a staffing issue. We personally didn't need any customer service other than check out when we visited, however the cashier was a bit apathetic. That said, I don't know their story, if they had a bad day, or if they just were not loving working at a toy shop on a busy weekend. That said, the prices are a TOUCH on the high side but honestly that is to be expected in a tourist area. I'm hoping that the cheerful workers return but honestly, I get it. The past 2 years have been rough and it's hard to be upbeat all the time. However.... I mean, it is a toy store....

0 stars for customer service and 5 stars for merchandise makes this a 3 star experience. What kind of grandma would I be if I weren't always on the lookout for toys, games, and stocking stuffers? Many great options at Geared for Games. However, the salesperson never gave me a greeting or bothered to look up from her paperwork the entire time I was in the store. Nor did I get a "Thanks for coming in" when I left. Very odd. Sure hope she finished her paperwork because it was obviously more important than any potential business from me!

Love this place! Since our kiddos were little we've stopped in every time we are in Tahoe! And, as adults, they still love to pop in and check out what's new for "kids" of all ages.

Sweet little shop. Good array and decent prices for the area. Plus it’s location is the Boatworks Mall is great. Love this place! Has easy parking and is an indoor mall. We found a bunch of little cats for my daughter ever growing collection. Toys range in age group. Infants up. Some crafty stuff. Games. They have a little wooden trains set up in the back and my daughter didn’t want to leave. I will definitely come back!

This place is truly a gem! Had some last minute kids show up and needed presents ASAP. All of their toys encourage imagination and learning. You need to check it out. The ladies were so sweet too and wrapped all 12 of my presents. Thank you!

I ended up finding this place on Yelp, when I was trying to find some toys and puzzles during my vacation. This place had a great selection, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I found a tough puzzle that we all enjoyed back at the house, and I also found a bunch of stuff for the kids. I wish I had a place like this in my hometown.

Highly recommend visiting and supporting this local gift shop. We were in Tahoe with friends for a retreat and it happened to be a kid birthday. Initially we thought gifting e-gift cards but then took chance on looking to find a local gift shop. Geared for Games is a small shop, as expected in small city with good variety in all categories. Don't try to compare local shop in mountains prices with Amazon. Where shop shined was in service. We asked front desk lady (sorry forgot your name) for suggestions and she did excellent job. Then to top it all, she helped to wrap each of several gifts we purchased in very pretty manner, put them in gift bag, tissue, ribbons etc. all included in the price without any additional change. Visit this shop to make someone's day special and you will not be disappointed.
