We camped at Merrill Campground (literally across the street). This dump station costs $10 to use (honor system drop box).

Great seasonal campground. Closed most of 2021 because of fires. Forest Service Camping with Host. Electric available and dump right across the street. Big sites. Great fishing if you can get out in a boat. Several guides available in nearby Spalding or at the marina.

This is one of the most beautiful campsites we've stayed at. The spots are spacious (we have a 28' tow behind travel trailer) and the setting is picturesque. There are quite a few toilet houses, but there wasn't a shower in the one close to us. The spots are shaded by pine trees, have picnic tables & fire-pits. If you forgot wood, the wonderful camp host, Patty, sells bundles for $5 each at the entrance. They even have little wagons you can borrow to easily walk it back to your campsite. There is a short trail to walk to the lake where some boats were buoyed out in the water. I wish our itinerary allowed us to stay for more than one day!
