The pharmacy in this store leaves something to be desired. They do not seem to fill prescriptions until you are there with the "it will be 20 minutes". When you're sick and just want to be home in bed I don't want to wait another 20 minutes for my pills. When you have as monthly prescription, same story. I do not recommend.

Just visited pharmacy because of a faulty inhaler that they sold to me under my insurance, ran out after about 35 uses, they stated that I can return to the manufacturer and maybe they will replace it. They sell a drug but won't stand behind the product. All of those criminals that rip them off in SF,LA they make it up by ripping off honest people. 1 star is to much.

Since December 1st, I have placed 5 orders. Every last order has been delayed. I went in 3 days after they were supposed to be done, only to be told they were waiting fir paper, envelopes or some other reason. I won't have mind if they called me and told me to wait. I ordered last night was supposed to be ready at 8pm. I waited until 1:30 today to be told they just started printing them. I was upset turned around to walk away before I said anything. The cashier yelled have a nice day. My day has sucked! I could have told her off. Go back to pick up the order and it is all messed up! Picture of what I got vs what I ordered.

I am beyond livid and will never ever use Walgreens in Susanville again. When my husband after throat cancer surgery was discharged from UC Davis he was given prescriptions for liquid acetaminophen and liquid ibuprofen with refills. We asked to transfer the prescriptions to Susanville Walgreens. Today the Pharmacist called my husband and said your insurance will not pay for the prescriptions because they are over the counter. My husband asked how much and he said about 24.00, he said ok. I went to Walgreens to pick it up. They give me 4oz bottles. I asked can I get this in a larger quantity as this is for an adult who had throat surgery for cancer. The Pharmacy Tech goes around and asks the Pharmacist who says she'll just have to buy more bottles. I am upset by this and I calculate how much it will cost about 33.00 per prescription to get the amount prescribed. I am livid, I leave and go to Rite aid The Pharmacist at Rite aid is helpful and professional. They fill the prescriptions, run it through insurance and it cost 15 and change. I then call Walgreens, the Pharmacist tells me " You must have gotten a discount cause your insurance didn't pay." I don't care if it was a discount or insurance paid didn't cost me 66.00 dollars, and it cost about the same as UC Davis. He then says your husband said it was ok. I said I explained this was for an adult and we needed a larger quantity and all he could keep saying is your husband said it was ok. I will never use Walgreens again, they were totally unwilling to help us.

Won't sell alcohol to a group of 30 year olds because one of us in the group didn't have there ID even they weren't buying it. Weird small town policy. Just spent our money elsewhere instead!

I went in for my first flu shot tonight. I never needed one before, but getting the flu at my age and health could be ugly. Renita the pharmacist was very nice and knowledgeable, I was very pleased. It`s not that like getting shots mind you, but it is better when it`s done correctly. I will go back again next year.

Apparently one if the requirements to work in the pharmacy here is to be devoid of any instinct for kindness, compassion or to posses a sense of humor. You would think when denying sick people their medicine you could at least not be a bitch about it.

This chain drug store is large, clean, and well-lit, but the real reason I love this Walgreens is for their pharmacy. The staff is always friendly and helpful, ensuring my prescriptions are always filled on time with no hassles. The pharmacist, Sarah, is knowledgeable and always accessible, finding time to answer questions.

I used to be a customer! I became fed up with the inconsistencies filling my prescriptions. I travel with my business and I do not always have the luxury of picking up the prescription on the day it is due. In the past it was never a problem picking them up a day before or even 2 days before. Something I have done for almost a year. I would understand if the pharmacist manager had changed, but this was not the case. The manager changed the rules during the game! So depending who is working or if the manager is there I never know when I can get my prescription filled. For example I recently saw my Dr. for a med prescription. It so happened it was 2 days before the due date. I was asked if I would like to wait? I told them I am not sure if I would be able to get it today. I was told yes you can! Then trying to get a refill a day before I was denied! When I ask the manger why? He responds who did this I want to know! The upfront staff and techs are very nice and so are the other pharmacist. I really don't like leaving since the convenience of using other Walgreens when I am out of town. But I had all the stress I care to take from the inconsistencies. So if you need your prescription before the due date then I would choose another pharmacy!

The people that work here are always so very nice and accomidating. They will drop everything they are doing to help you find something. The store is extremely clean and well kept up as well as the outside landscaping and parking lot. They have a one-hour photo shop that I don't think I have ever waited an hour for. And the quality is amazing! The pharmacy has a drive thru which is a great feature for a mom with sick kids.
