My kids -13&16- had a lesson with Desiree. Had so much fun -my son stood on his first wave- that we immediately rebooked for a 2nd lesson. Desiree was fun, knowledgeable & a great teacher. Both kids stood the 1st day, on 2nd day my kids were making turns. Booking was super easy, Alex fulfilled all our requests. Highly recommended.

We loved our experience. Costumer service with One Wave was easy. They were very accommodating with questions and other communication. The beach was a great location and the directions to get there were perfect. The picture of the parking lot was VERY helpful. Our instructor, James was wonderful! He worked very well with our 14 year old who has never surfed. He was patient, friendly, and professional. I would definitely recommend One Way as well as consider them for future lessons.

on time ,clear ,easy instruction, they meet me at the beach with wet suit and board! taught me safety tips and then we went out in the water.

I'm a resident of LA and have always wanted to surf. I've been taking lessons every few weeks (im on my 5th on this week) and the instructors have been super helpful. I even got to ride multiple waves on the first day. I've now even started going out on my own after just a few sessions. One Wave is the best, I definitely recommend them. They are also very responsive via email if you have questions.

My husband and I took a surf lesson from James and it was a blast. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to go surfing but has no clue how to do it (that's us). You will enjoy the water, enjoy the waves, and have success on the board!

We have bad surfing experience with our instructor Danny . He is a nice guy but lazy coach.Too lazy. Always asked my daughter to sit on the beach to rest a while several times.This private lesson means I put away my 100 dollars in trash can. Bad experience my daughter had.

My two daughters, ages 11 and 14 took a lesson from One Wave Surf when we were in California last August (2018). I believe our instructors name was James. I have felt guilty for almost a year for not writing a review because James and One Wave Surf deserve super high praise! I really was so very worried when my girls wanted to take surf lessons, but after James shared his professional background with us I was completely put at ease. He was patient and kind. And yes both kids managed to surf! OneWave's Tyler was also very easy to work with via email. The whole experience was just fantastic. I highly recommend them!

All three rookie surfers, 6, 10 & 14 yrs. old up on the first try! The 10 & 14 yr old were visiting from Virginia and went back with memories of their first time surfing being a blast. Each had individual instructors well suited for their ages and level of athletic abilities. All on time, and all great instructors.

Our family of 5 had a blast. We have three younger kids, 4, 7 and 9. The ones that wanted to get up were able to with no problems. James was very attentive and really patient with our kids. The equipment was great and the weather was perfect. If you are wanting a great surf lesson getting one from James at Sunset Beach is a must.

We had an UNREAL time surfing with Casey. He not only got us up and riding waves but he also took the time to make sure you were comfortable and understood the basics of surfing. Definitely go to One Wave if you're looking to surf!!! We will for sure be coming back in the future
