Calaveras Nursery is a third-generation family-run business known for its friendly and helpful staff. The nursery offers an excellent and surprising variety of well-kept plants and trees. Visitors find many products there that cannot be found elsewhere, making it a destination worth a special trip. The selection includes lots and lots of Shimpaku Junipers, Japanese Black Pines, and Satsuki Azaleas, providing many choices for styling Bonsai. The nursery also has a beautiful selection of different types of yucca plants, rose bushes, rose trees, dwarf olive trees, and many different kinds of trees and shrubs. Customers report finding reasonable prices, with specific plants often cheaper than at other locations. The staff provides excellent service, including help with loading purchases. While some flowers may be delayed due to weather, the nursery consistently offers a great variety and is a place customers definitely plan to return to.
They are exceptional and their knowledge is unparalleled. I’ve brought dozens of trees from them over the years and they are always healthy. They will also special order trees and plants they don’t have at the nursery and call you timely when it arrives.

Today our San Jose Betsuin Bonsai Club visited the Calaveras Nursery run by third generation owners, Adam and Damien. The brothers were friendly and helpful. We found lots and lots of Shimpaku Junipers, Japanese Black Pines and Satsuki Azaleas. Many choices for styling Bonsai.
