900 Hamlin Ct, Sunnyvale“This place is a secret gem.I didn't want to stay here. The location between two freeways seems like it's going to be noisy. The price was low (which is often a sign of what you're going to get.) It's not in a walkable location.I was wrong.I didn't have any issues with noise. The rooms were nice. Spacious, and way more room than one person needed. I didn't use the kitchen, but it was kept up and well appointed. (It was fun having two bathrooms.)The front desk staff was super friendly. It's dog friendly! (I didn't have any luck saying hi to anyone else's dog, but saw a few from a distance, which sparked joy.)For the price, it was an amazing deal. Some areas need a fresh coat of paint, but overall things are well maintained.Next time I need to be in Sunnyvale, I'll definitely consider the Sonesta ES again.”
“Good Value, Nice Staff. I really liked the evening happy hour and the bar tender (not sure of her name) was very friendly and had a great attitude. I was disappointed the jacuzzi wasn't working. I stayed here a couple of times and was told it was being fixed but it never happened over several months.”
“The hotel is in a convenient location. Check in was fast and easy. Our reservation had the parking fee included by booking direct on ASRs site. The lobby had the sound of fluorescent lights buzzing and a TV from the bar, it looked nice and inviting though. Parking was fine, we used the garage most of the time and you could take the elevator straight to room floors.
We stayed in the Domain Suite. It was nice but felt somewhat barebones: no hangers, luggage stands, or glasses. The doors between rooms didn’t shut all the way and the automatic blinds didn’t work quite right. Both of the TVs worked well.
I thought the room was very clean. The deep tub was great to soak in, the separate shower and toilet were helpful and the robes were a good quality. There were lots of plugs and USB ports. All of the lights worked.
The breakfast was a standard continental with a hot bar. It was eerily quiet and you could hear the fluorescent lights buzzing away. We tried a couple of the cocktails at the bar and thought they great and the bartender was friendly and enthusiastic.
The day we left the power was out and we had to hoof our luggage down the stairs and into the dark parking garage. Not really their fault and they were apologetic for the situation. I assume check out would’ve been easy had the power been on.
Walkability: There were a lot of food options, a liquor store, and even a strip club, within a 5 minute walk from the hotel.”
“It felt like the focus was on startup incubation rather than VC. I worked as a summer internship during my vacation, and it was great to be able to experience an atmosphere up close that I can't experience in Japan. Companies become partners (by paying a certain amount of money) and are given the opportunity to collaborate with startups, so many large Japanese companies that everyone knows have registered as partners. I didn't see many Japanese people working inside, but I wonder if remote working is still popular.”

“Solid course, clean arcade. $18 for 18 holes is $1 per hole, however there were some duplicates that took a way a bit of the fun on the safari course.
Enough to take away a star? Nah, it's rare to find such cheap fun out here.
Can't comment on arcade other than cleanliness and didn't eat though, so bare that in mind.”
