I just wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Breakfast is an absolute scam. The elevator is terrifying and sounds dangerous. Someone peed on one of the breakfast seats and management didn’t do anything about it. Also, there’s no microwaves in the rooms! It just seems like this place is cutting down at costs, what a shame because we could have spent the night somewhere else.

This is a great location. The rooms are some of the largest I have seen. The bathroom has both a tub and shower and 2 sinks. The rates are reasonable and breakfast and happy hour included. This will be our go to hotel when in the area.

I've stayed here twice. The first time, I chose to stay in one of the "villas". Turned out these are little quasi-freestanding motel areas behind the main building. I was on the bottom floor with views of nothing, the construction seemed cheap and the room was sad. I didn't stay at the Grand again for five years.Last week, I stayed there again. Because my memory is bad I chose the villas again - and got basically the same room. The room was sad and so was I.But then I asked to switch rooms, and the nice person at the desk worked hard to find me a top floor in the main building. And that room was quite nice - spacious, super quiet, with a commanding third-floor view of El Camino Real and a Toyota dealership. I quite enjoyed my stay.So heed my advice: get the villa room, because that way you'll leave the much nicer main building room available for me.Plus, I liked that they spiced up the old rickety elevator with a mat with the name of the day in cursive. (Another pro tip: take the stairs; they're much quicker.)

Great hotel in sunnyvale. The rooms and bathrooms were large and the finishes were new. Microwave available upon request, breakfast every day. Little bit of an ant problem in the rooms, which housekeeping helped a little with the seals but later I noticed some more ants.

COLD! I am here the next few days I come to Sunnyvale for work about twice a month and decided to try this place. I hate to waste money or I would switch hotels and definitely not staying here again. I tried calling the front desk but they sent a kid who just stared at the thermostat and left and never attempted to help or communicate. Issue is that property has the air conditioner turned on where even if I turn the wall thermostat off the air conditioner won't turn off. I'm not allowed to be warmer than 74 degrees by their rules here and I'm cold. Towels stuffed in the vent helped.

Beautiful hotel. Very nice pool with lounge chairs and towels. Breakfast was delicious with scrambled eggs, sausage, omelettes to order, waffles, pastry's, fruit, bagels, cream cheese, assorted juice and hot and cold cereals. Rooms were very clean and beds were super comfortable. Staff was also very friendly.

Actually really nice and spacious rooms, very clean, breakfast is good, parking is free, service nice and friendly.But, why does a Grand Hotel have so little style? Serving breakfast with plastic cutlery, only to go cups for coffee and plastic cups for juices, providing all stuff like salt, jam, peanut butter etc in disposable one way plastic is completely out of date and style less. Please get better here, for your own and environment's sake

Absolutely amazing experience! We went to a 49er game and looked at hotels and this one was close enough and also budget friendly. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. It offers free parking which is amazing! Free breakfast which was delicious and also the best part it has a water purifying machine which you can refill your water bottles for free! We got a deluxe king and the room was spacious. Had a shower and bath tub with double sink! We stayed in 430 and had the best time! Also many places to walk to for lunch/billiards. This place is a hidden gem! We will definitely be back!

Stayed here for 4 nights on a work trip. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Room was dated and very tired which is not a problem on its own but coupled with poor cleaning and reception service makes it just a really underwhelming place to stay.I arrived to check in at 4pm (as was listed on my booking) but my room wasn’t ready and I had to wait 45 minutes for them to clean my room. This was after I emailed them to request an early checkin and I never received a reply to my email.My sheets were not changed once during my stay - even when I put the sign out to request clean sheets. Towels were only changed once. One time they just picked the dirty towels from the floor and hung them up. My room didn’t have anywhere to hang towels in the bathroom so had to drape over the bath. Bath didn’t have a plug so couldn’t use it.Coffee was never refilled and cups not replaced. They only replaced the glasses once so I ended up re-using dirty glasses. I would have washed my own if they had supplied cleaning equipment.I was in the old building so I can’t speak for the quality of the new building.

Gravely disappointed by the cleanliness, professionalism, and care displayed at this hotel, especially after such good reviews. Comforter, pillow, and sheets had blood stains on them upon arrival. Clearly visible when standing and looking on the bed- especially on the very white comforter. Looked like blood had been smeared and there were spots on the pillows. Checked in late at night so reported the stains in the morning and requested that the sheets, pillow, and comforter were replaced by the cleaning team. Returned to the room later that night to find that the bed had been made but nothing had been replaced, the stains were still there. Tried to call the front desk, but the phone did not work - no dial tone. Walked to the main building front desk that night and asked the attendant for a new pillow and comforter. Attendant gave us a new pillow but did not have a comforter. We asked if the cleaning team could help us, but were told they left at 9 pm. Took the pillow and on the way back to the room, we saw a cleaning cart and someone cleaning one of our neighboring rooms. Attendant clearly lied. Comforter and pillows were changed the next day, but the sheets still had blood stains on them. Disgusting. Also asked for soap to wash hands, and were not provided with any. We used the soap we brought ourselves. Basics were not there. Any standard inspection would have shown that the bed was not clean. Negligent care and poor service following up. Definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone else. I cannot believe a 4-star hotel with such high ratings can get away with this - bloody sheets and comforter , blood-stained pillows, no soap, and no functioning phoneThe room was absolutely unacceptable. I’ve been to motels with cleaner presenting beds than the one we slept in.Update: I was promised a follow up from the hotel and was never contacted. Just confirmed my beliefs about their poor customer service.

Stayed here for the Taylor Swift concert with my wife and it was awesome. Great clean rooms, super friendly staff, nice comfy bed. The best was they opened the kitchen like 20 or so minutes early so we could get some food and out to catch the Uber.The freaking caprese pizza was just amazing. Like probably the best pizza I've had in quite awhile. Thank you chefs!The breakfast this morning was exactly what I needed. Eggs, sausage and juice. Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers!Thanks staff!

Beautiful spacious room in a new brand new building! Large bathroom and huge bathtub. Super clean hotel! Free parking and free breakfast! Starbucks coffee in the room and inside the lobby complementary Beautiful grounds around the hotel . Huge rooms! 4 people can easily stay in one room with 2 queen beds. Complimentary breakfast with custom-ordered omelettes is amazing. They also have 2 free cocktails every day. Free parking, free wifi. Booked our stay through GoSplitty and paid ~$400 for 4 nights. Amazing value, would definitely stay here again!
