This place is a secret gem.I didn't want to stay here. The location between two freeways seems like it's going to be noisy. The price was low (which is often a sign of what you're going to get.) It's not in a walkable location.I was wrong.I didn't have any issues with noise. The rooms were nice. Spacious, and way more room than one person needed. I didn't use the kitchen, but it was kept up and well appointed. (It was fun having two bathrooms.)The front desk staff was super friendly. It's dog friendly! (I didn't have any luck saying hi to anyone else's dog, but saw a few from a distance, which sparked joy.)For the price, it was an amazing deal. Some areas need a fresh coat of paint, but overall things are well maintained.Next time I need to be in Sunnyvale, I'll definitely consider the Sonesta ES again.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Google Campus. There is a supermarket about 30 minutes away. There is a good, typical American breakfast. The hotel has a pool, a basketball court, a barbecue area with gas grills and a 24-hour gym. The gym is reduced but well equipped. The rooms are spacious. There is a kitchen with a refrigerator. I was completely satisfied.

The rooms are quite spacious, comfortable and clean. Traffic noise is noticeable but not annoying. Other tenants were quiet during our stay. An excellent hot breakfast is served every morning. It was the perfect place for staying while visiting the Google campus, a 15 minute walk away from the hotel.

Used this motel for work travel. The suites are cheap so you get a lot of space for the dollar. Biggest problem is that it is located right next to the highway, so there is a lot of road noise, although not the worst thing in the world when you're tired from traveling. The suite itself is basic. The building is seemingly quite old, with room walls and wood from the stairs could use some TLC.The staff was polite. The breakfast was the standard hotel breakfast: not fresh (frozen or powdered or freeze dried) but it's convenient. Would enjoy breakfast to start an hour earlier for work.Overall, not a bad place to stay and not a great place to stay either. If you want a lot of space, go for it and book a suite.

The location is right off the freeway, very convenient, yet surprisingly quiet. The lobby is lovely, spacious, and relaxing. The staff is friendly and personable. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Having a kitchen is great and there's a supermarket right down the street. Dog friendly is a plus for me. Love staying here when visiting family/friends.

Stayed while on a trip to CA Great America & San Francisco. Would definitely stay again. The beds were comfortable and clean. There was plenty of room for personal items. All appliances were clean and working, good breakfast options. The location was great for traveling in and out of the main city center, with restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The only issues being thin walls, I could hear people talking downstairs from my room upstairs, and the bathroom vanity was a bit dim. But for the price and location it is 100% something that can be overlooked for me.Rooms: Suite style. Included kitchen and small dining area.Nearby activities: 10 min drive to CA Great America. 40 min to San Francisco. Apple hq nearby.Food & drinks: Hot breakfast included every morning.Noteworthy details: $7 charge per night to park you vehicle. Laundry services only by request unless you are staying weekly.

The rooms are large and spacious, following a suite style with a kitchenette and separate bedroom from the main room. The breakfast is pretty amazing with not only pancakes, eggs, sausage, cereal, muffins, but lots of other food as well. Overall this is a great option. It is on the west side of Matilda avenue, so if you're crossing over to one of the business parks on the other side of Matilda, expect to cross a major road. However, it's not a big deal, and there are good walking paths and crosswalks. I would definitely stay here again, especially if I have family members with me.Nearby activities: Close to moffett place, where tons of Google buildings are, and also close to moffett towers park, where lots of Amazon buildings areWalkability: You have to cross a 9 lane road called Matilda usually

Great location, awesome service, and good value for the money.Highly recommended for families long staycation.- good breakfast and great small gym.- very clean rooms, with a fully equipped kitchen and living room.- the building is a bit old, and the water tubing is very noisy if you stay ground floor.- for upper floors - no elevator, you will need to hold the luggage by yourself using the stairs.- the pool is salty.. Kids didn't enjoy it.

My mother and I enjoyed a delightful stay at this extended stay 3-star hotel in the South Bay area. From the moment we arrived, we were met with exceptional customer service, with Michael going the extra mile to ensure our comfort. He warmly welcomed us, acquainted us with the amenities, and even accommodated our last-minute request for a ground-level room for my mother's convenience, offering assistance when needed. His hospitality was truly commendable. Our two-bedroom suite was immaculate and well-equipped, providing us with a peaceful space to socialize and rest. The availability of two desks was a boon for my work setup. For the price, this place is a steal, complete with a satisfying continental breakfast. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and hospitable, always greeting us warmly in the lobby. The property's grounds are well-maintained, with daily replenishment of pool pillows and towels for those lounging by the pool. On-site laundry and convenient parking at $7 per vehicle per night are added bonuses. The only drawback was the occasional pile of garbage outside doors due to guests with extended stays and kitchens. Although it was collected promptly, access to a dumpster would be a welcome addition. The rooms are updated with high-quality appliances and furniture, and the bedding is comfortable. The doorway could use a bit of sprucing up, but it's a minor issue. When we faced a plumbing issue, the front desk promptly sent maintenance, who resolved it swiftly. While this place isn't a resort or a 4+ star hotel, the service we received was superior to some higher-rated hotels I've visited.

Sonesta has a standard in which they charge those that register using a third party such as Priceline or Expedia a significant incidental per night deposit, which exceeds the cost of the room. The minimum amount for one night is $150.00. Ironically, there is nothing in the rooms that values that amount. Right now, I have $450.00 pending on my card for a prepaid reservation. It seems as if you are penalized for booking with a third party

I had to evacuate my home in the SC Mountains due to flooding and mudslides.Upon arriving with my teenage daughter and our 2 traumatized cats, we were greeted by the friendly and helpful hotel night clerk and got checked in promptly into a one bedroom Queen suite. With a price tag of $112/night including taxes, I feel we got a lot of bang for our few bucks. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious. and loaded with all the amenities we needed for a very comfortable few days. The breakfast was hot and tasty; with enough variety to make us happy. I really have zero complaints about this hotel. It seems like they pride themselves on consistency so I joined their rewards program. Some of the benefits of which are instant, others require a minimum of 5-15 nights in a calendar year. Sonesta will be my new go to for hotels wherever I travel.Rooms: Clean, comfortable and spaciousSafety: Off the beaten path. The grounds were clean and the property is quietFood & drinks: They have hot breakfast until 9/10am and snacks available for purchase in the lobby.Noteworthy details: Very friendly and helpful staff!
