It's a good place in Sunnyvale to buy pet products and toys. I loved fishes and birds they had in display. Very nice collections for beginners whi take aquarium as their hobby.

Please do not buy any fish from this Petco. They don't maintain their tanks at all and there are dead fishes, frogs and shrimps all over their tanks for weeks now. Their fishes have all sorts of parasites (ich) all sorts of bacteria fungus infections and if you add any of their fishes to your tanks all your fishes will be affected and die one by one. On their guppy tank there has been dead frogs for 2 weeks now and no one maintains these tanks. Those dwarf frogs are packed with parasites and now they're all lying dead at the bottom of their guppy tanks. Stay away from this Petco if you are buying any fish or guppies.

Has most of what the typical pet owner would need. Friendly staff. Convenient if you’re also making a stop at the Safeway next door.

Extremely awful grooming experience with very mean frontdesk for grooming check-in today. I dropped my puppy early this morning and was stuck by work and thus was not able to come on time.
I was informed that I would be charged for late fee that is 15 dollar per hour, which I think is reasonable, given it is my fault. However, when I picked up my puppy, the frontdesk told me that she would throw out my puppy if I come late again next time. Does she know what she is talking about? Is is legal and ethical to throw out a puppy?
I have been with Petco for more than 1 years and had wonderful experiences back in LA and Houston. It is my first time having such experience with a Petco employee with little empathy and being so rude

Quite possibly one of the worst run businesses in all of Sunnyvale. The cashiers are nice enough, but there’s only one of them—no matter how busy the store is. Also, DO NOT book this place for your pet’s vaccines. They operate via “appointments” but the time slots don’t mean anything. You’ll be standing and waiting for 1-1.5 hours after your appointment time in a long line of people with their dogs and cats. The clinic staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful; do not support this place.

I attended to Petco Sunnyvale location at 5/12/24 afternoon (160 E El Camino Real, Sunnyvale, CA 94087) to purchase dog food. There was one cashier didn’t familiar with vital care benefit about dog food and rewards. He keep telling me I need to apply reward on my phone and if it’s not show in their system, it’s what it is. He said he doesn’t have time to solve my discounts issue, people a were waiting to get helped. ( Sounds like he didn’t know I pay for those benefit) His attitude is very aggressive and inpatient, I keep ask him to double check if my reward was applied in the system. But he still didn’t do anything or and ask for help. Then we stucked there.Finally another staff noticed this situation and come to help me, to applied reward and benefit. It was just because he need to apply reward after it was loaded in the app. It’s rude and unprofessional!

The customer reps are kind and helpful. The inventory is incorrect at this location. This has happened a few times at this location. SC and MV inventory is correct and items are available. Also, I’ve seen cockroaches at this location. This location needs serious deep cleaning, organization and new management. Just not up to par like the other two locations mentioned.
