We've taken our 2005 Honda Civic to Bill ever since we moved to CA 12 years ago. He has always been honest about what he finds, and takes the time to document the reason he makes recommendations. I can not recommend him highly enough.

Excellent! Bill Wada truly knows Hondas. He and Sandi operate with expertise, humanity and unimpeachable integrity. This is a shop of a dying, precious and rate breed. Folks who are experts and genuinely care. Thank you, Bill and Sandi!

We have been going to Kaloci's for many years. Bill has always done excellent work, is very honest and not overpriced. We have never taken a car in but what he has known exactly what the problem was and fixed it in a timely manner. Other members of our family also trust him with their vehicles. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a top notch mechanic. Business establishments like this are hard to find these days.

I've been taking my Honda to Bill for several years, and drive down from San Francisco every year to get my car serviced. Bill is thorough, thoughtful, and takes the time to explain what he's doing. I feel empowered to understand what's happening with my car. He always walks me through what needs to be done and what can wait another year. It's clear that he's doing exactly what needs to be done and not charging me for extras. I can't recommend Kaloci & Son highly enough.

Very hard to find a reliable mechanic now a days. I have been going to Kaloci's for more than 20 years. They have been taking care of all of my cars. Never had a problem and they have always backed there work. There is no one else I would trust with my Honda's than this establishment.

Bill is the most honest and reliable mechanics that I know. I have used his services for 15 years and I have no intention to go elsewhere. I highly recommend him.

I'm so glad my youngest daughter did the research and found this mechanic. My car is my business for the last 5 years. Bill has been the best mechanic I've ever had in over 50 years of driving. I drive for a living and I share my mechanics information with my riders. Thank you Bill.

Kaloci is the best. We have been going here for 28 years through 3 different owners (all with same fair approach). Always caring, efficient very fair and a pleasure to work with. We have had 4 different Hondas or Acuras and we would. not take them anywhere else.

This is a great place - very honest and reasonable in pricing. They are in huge demand and I usually get appointments a month out, but I don't mind waiting. They are that good.

My car mechanic of thirty years retired not long ago. So I had to find a reliable new mechanic for our two Hondas

The engine light went on in my car. This shop hooked up their device to get the error code. Based on the code they got, they recommended I get an oil change (somewhere else due to their calendar being booked too far out) and come back so that they could reset the error to turn off the engine light. They did all of this without charging me. Based on this and my interaction with them, I'll definitely be coming back for regular maintenance service.

Have received great service for 25 years on an Accord and an Odyssey. Everything is done right at a reasonable price. They keep records of all services and repairs to let you know what needs to be done.

When one of our cars (Honda Civic hybrid) started misbehaving two weeks ago, I looked around for a good place to take it (non-dealer). I've plenty of experience working on British cars and Acuras, but the Honda was beyond what I wanted to deal with. (Like a 4 cylinder engine with 8 spark plugs!?) In the past, I've had great luck with Independence Acura in MV for things I needed help with, but didn't want to drive the car that far, and Kaloci gave me a good gut feeling. They were very helpful, and asked a lot of questions regarding the car, which is always a good sign. They did a great job, didn't replace anything unnecessarily, and explained everything afterwords. Cost? Probably ball park and cheaper than a dealer. Will go back without hesitation. BTW, the AAA guy who towed the car in suggested that a 2009 Honda with multiple engine fault codes probably wasn't worth repairing. He had a similar model and was nothing but $$$, so I was a little worried, but it turned out much better (and cheaper) than I expected!

If you're looking for a local independent auto repair shop that specializes in Hondas and Acuras, look no further. After my and my family's longtime indy shop (International Auto Clinic in Cupertino) closed after the owner retired, I tried different places for Honda service. Another indy shop (JP Automotive) in San José caused me headaches by misdiagnosing a coil problem and shoddy workmanship. The dealer, on the other hand, while always doing a competent job, tended to be on the pricier side, and I'd almost always get upsold by a service adviser there : "sir, when was the last time you had our fuel injection cleaning service done? When was the last time you had your power steering fluid changed?" F*** that. I used to see Kaloci and Son all the time while driving down Evelyn to and from the Sunnyvale Caltrain station. When my Honda was making a funny noise after starting it, I gave these guys a call. Facts: * The place is run by two employees -- Bill and Sandi. Bill is the mechanic who does all the work on the cars, and Sandi works the office, answering the phone and writing you up, among other things. * They only work on Hondas and Acuras. That's it. * They're usually very busy. They will likely ask you to leave your car for a few days until they can get to it. If they're super busy, Bill will sometimes come in on Saturday to get work done. * You can drop your car off after hours as they have a slot where you can put your key in an envelope and slide it through. * Bill will check your car over for free and let you know if there's anything of concern. He doesn't seem to be too pushy at all if your car might need work. He'll also film the work he's doing on your car and will show you firsthand why he did what he did. Their invoices are also very detailed and transparent. They diagnosed my car's problem as the starter beginning to go bad. The final cost out the door to replace it was just barely over $500. While certainly not cheap, the price seems to be right based on some independent research I did online. Who knows how expensive it would've been had I had it replaced at the dealer. A few days after I picked the car up, Sandi called and told me that Bill had accidentally neglected to put the dipstick back in the car after he checked the oil level. He had gotten distracted apparently. He was apologetic after bringing the car back, and I can tell that this is not a normal occurrence for him. Overall, I'm very happy with the service I received here. Bill and Sandi are both really nice and give the impression that they want you to know that your Honda or Acura is in good, competent hands when you bring it here. 5 stars all the way
