Just spoke with one of the very "Best Associate"that HR&Block has...Mr Jaime Marquez-Velandia in your Sunnyvale office at El Camino Real. It has been the Most Beautiful Experience I have had in months, since my husband Nicholas's passing. He was very knowledgeable, patience and most of all friendly. Losing my husband Nicholas in the last few months has made my life shift overnight, especially when it comes with all the International Bureaucracy in this world of ours...where people don't take that Extra Step to really help and listen to customers. He made my pain a little less painful by tailoring to our personal needs. BRAVO, BRAVO...BRAVISSIMO if you ask me. God Bless you Always and your whole Team. STAY AWAY from this place: incompetent staff, zero accountability towards their low quality service.
I made the mistake of not to use TorboTax for my first year taxes in the U.S. and get some "professional help" from H&R Block; hence my 9 months drama with them started. First, the ITIN application they filed for my child was rejected twice because of their error. As a result of this, I get a notice from the IRS that I now owe a balance for my taxes instead of the refund I was promised.
Now I'm asking them to contact the IRS on my behalf to remediate, and they have been stalling for more than 3 weeks to send me an authorization document to sign.
Summary: They charge you some $$ in the tax season and then good luck holding them accountable for their terrible quality of work.

Both times I had appointment their computer system did not work and I had to come a different time. I was quoted around $500 when I went to pick up my taxes I was charged $615 for personal income tax. My file was more complicated because I just moved to US. But the price is still too hight. But the bad rating is more for them still making mistakes on the forms like missing info on foreign account even through all data was uploaded on their web and making other mistakes. And after a month of noticing them of the mistakes there is still no resolution.

Worst service you can expect. The front desk associate or someone named Lisa does not have the patience to wait for someone to ask questions for a service they are going to pay for. Stay away from this location, they have no clue what they’re doing!
