Mark has serviced our Honda and Toyota vehicles for more than a decade. His prices are reasonable and the shop's work is competent and quick. I recommend him.

I moved in almost across the street from Hendy Auto in 2010. They were close so I tried them for service issues like oil changes and tune ups first. They would show me the plugs so I knew I really didn't need new ones. They saved me money immediately. Mark treated me very fairly (maybe more on my side than his) with complete respect and honesty from our first interaction. Traditional was ask for service, get an estimate, if approved, work done quickly and professionally. Always very flexible to accommodate SV schedule. Major brake I could start on the side road, then take it in for what I couldn't do. Saved me when I was unemployed and needed the car for the search. Hendy worked with me and my budget to get the car safe and running well. There was another place, a couple blocks away, that ripped me for over 4K and trashed my car to zero value (blew my turbo as they "tested it") because I trusted them. They are now out of business, as they should be, but Hendy service continues from when Sunnyvale was known as Murphy Station. Historical trust! Mark has not always owned it. But he wasn't born when the original built the local trust at the current location, rail side, when fruit and nuts ruled. (Maybe they still do!) This station has history! (as does the one across the street that needs saving our historical gas station beauty as we transition into a electric future. That place needs a quick charge/quick homemade foods, and some music) I moved last year north and escaped the valley, where self interest is so overwhelmingly common. I can say, as of 12/22, Mark and his staff are the best. Knowledgeable professionals who are worth far more than they charge. I recommend picking up your vehicle either late (best, 5PM) or at lunch time. I suggest bringing a dish because Mark and his staff are likely to invite you to share THEIR food. They grow hydroponics and vegetables on the side on the business. Mark knows his healthy foods and grows them at the site. One day I was picking up late. We snacked and had a beer. And shot things inside with an air powered rubber pellet pistol. LOL! I wasn't bad but Mark is a marksman. JoeBob says check it out and trust this man Mark. He knows cars, food, and people. A man who shares his meal with you is one you can trust. True understanding of each other, have a snack! No history of conflict while eating. Then listen to Mark and his staff. They know more than cars.

these clowns forgot to bolt my brake caliper back on after doing my brakes!!! the caliper fell off while driving on the freeway 4 days later!!! the brake pedal went to the floor and wasnt stopping, luckily i pulled over and was able to coast to a stop!! they also price gauge on parts!!! complete rip off and terrible craftsmanship!!!!

I would highly recommend Hendy Auto Repair. I called Mark this morning when my car's starter battery died. I told him that I would really like to have my car back in a few hours. He ran some diagnostics and identified that I needed to order a special replacement battery from Toyota. He was great with keeping me informed of the cost estimate and ETA for when my car would be ready. He got the job done ahead of his original estimate. I was very happy. I've been taking my car to Mark for repairs and smog checks for years now. He and the other mechanic are very honest, friendly and competent. I definitely recommend Hendy Auto Repair!

Very good i call him at 4.50pm and I got my car fix next morning by 10am i just waited till he called me 15 minutes before it was supposed to be ready. Reasonably priced.

My truck needed a new transmission, so we took it to Mark. We paid for a “brand new transmission” but ended up getting an old no goo one. We had to take the truck back 3’s and the 4th time took it somewhere else. The truck keeps saying trans fluid hot and reading at 300 and leaking, the first time we took it back Mark said it was missing a bolt, the second time it’s was my engine, the third time we needed to replace the trans cooling system and get a tune up. So I had another shop take a look at it with out telling them my issue and sure enough it was my transmission that was bad.This company doesn’t deserve one start but I had to select it so I would be able to post.

I have been bringing my RAV4 to Mark for about 10 years now. His price is fair and he shines when the cause of a problem is not immediately obvious. He will work with you to rule things out without ripping you off by randomly telling you to replace many things. He's been there for 10+ years. Hard to stay in biz for that long if people do not trust you and do not come back.

If I could give a negative review I would. Called ahead talked to Mark who assured me he could do a valve adjust on my 2002 odyssey for $550-600. Told me I could bring it in on Saturday he it would take the whole day but that he would get it done. Three days later I got my van back. Only for it to run in worse condition than when I had dropped it off in. I disputed the charge for the work done and returned to mark who once again kept my car for another three days. He then calls me and tells me he's fixed my car knows what the problem is. But won't tell me till I pay him. So I pay him in good faith only to drive away and have to turn right back. My van is now in worse condition than ever. Has new issues that didn't even exist. Power steering was fine, now it's completely destroyed. Engine won't stop misfiring even with Mark saying he "fixed" it. Don't go here unless you want to be ripped off and have your car completely destroyed and un driveable.
