I 'm impressed and think Chavez Supermarket is good. From walking and observing the entrance. I was greeted by a security officer. This is the first for me to experience. This just tells me hold your wallets and belongings lol!!! But in a serious tip. I can make a list of all the Mexican supermarkets where the meat department sucks, but this isn't one of them. Food is always super fresh. I will someday buy my meat products here. All staff is very welcoming and helpful. I super recommend the taqueria. Food is delicious and fresh made, and clean. I usually get super burritos carne a

Good selection. Careful with your card... As I reached for my wallet I was handed my receipt. The card reader can read your card from your pocket.

On a bike? You are not welcome here.No bicycle rack and nothing else even to lock a bike to. Found a bike area on the side but when I tried to park there an employee came and told me no, it's for employees only. I asked where a customer can park a bike and she just shrugged me off. So I asked if I have to go to another store, and was flatly told, "Yes." She literally told me to go shop at another store.Chavez, you lost a long time customer today. I'm sure Guadalajara Market - with their ample bike racks - appreciates it.

Meat selection is great, produce is usually very nice compared to most stores in my area. A little overpriced on some things, but overall have what I need!

Did I really just pay $30.71 for 6 regularl tacos? I added the avocado from home. Meat and tortillas, thats what I got for $30.71??!!?!?! Everything here is way overpriced and the carne asada was dry and tasted old.I feel bad for all the surrounding families that shop there. Theyr getting ripped off.

Giving it a 1 star because the shelves stockers are wonderful. I've been living in Sunnyvale for the past 2yrs and I can definitely say this is my least favorite store, I try to avoid it whenever I can. The only reason we sometimes go there it's because we need to get things in a hurry. Cashiers, they're extremely rude, always with an attitude dropping all of the produce with no care into the scanner/weight scale, they push very aggressively the groceries towards the end of the register, they don't even care to ask sometimes if we need a bag, can never answer at least to a "good morning" or "thank you, have a nice day" every time we great them or say thank you they don't even dare to look at the customers and completely ignore them (now I understand why they're treated so badly). Would much rather drive to Santa Clara to Walmart or pay 2x the price at Target! Not worth it spending my money here. I've found other Mexican stores that give much better service and they might charge more but I rather spend my money somewhere else where there is good customer service.

Great authentic Mexican food! Love that you can pick out what you want from all the ingredients right in front of you. I gave 4 stars due to the fact that the process for ordering and paying is so unorganized back at the counter. It would help if they had 2 registers and a person designated for catering (to-go orders) There are so many workers but not all are trained on the register so the line gets backed up.

I ate a carne asada burro and it got me sick later in the same day, I will not be going there anymore and the guy who served me was very friendly so I got no complains on that, they just need to start looking out for their food handling

So I called in my order for a super burrito today. The last time I was here had been a few years ago. I wasn't surprised about the food, it was good. As I have remembered, it was awesome but something happened and I don't want to reminisce it. Anyway, almost a similar scenario today. I saw one of the food prepares didn't have any gloves or any protection from his hands and the chicken enchilada he was preparing. Did he prepare my order? ( I called it in ) Maybe but, it doesn't matter. Were headed to another epidemic. This time we may not be so lucky. Everyone is being too relaxed and putting their guards down. There still a virus going around and its mutating you know! The only way to really stop it is, education and never ending reminders. Reminders from all the big influencers tv, social media and us. Its sad to see, we haven't learned.

This location is a lot smaller than other Chavez locations around the area but they do carry a nice variety of everything you could possibly need to make a home-cooked meal. They may not have all the same service counters as other locations but they do offer quite a few weekly specials that can save you a lot of money.
